The largest roller coaster ever built in Australia will crown Movie World the Southern Hemisphere's thrill capital
The park needs to be focusing on getting the larger crowds back and more often, and I get the summer crowds were reasonably busy but it needs to be consistent, and installing a new ride wouldn't actually help the park if people aren't going. Not saying people aren't, because they definitely are going, but the crowds probably aren't the exact same as how they were last year. I think these waster holidays will be the real test. Don't want to compare them to MW, but it has been pretty busy on days I've visited MW, and then I've gone to DW and it isn't. I love DW and support them in every way, but realistically a new ride won't do much, but these improvements and new stores/experiences will help overall without blowing the budget.

Movie World Hypercoaster - colour, theme and announcement speculation
I would be quite happy with Bizarro, and from what I saw in park the other day, with the sign at DD, I'm fairly positive it will be. And as mentioned, they could post on MWs FB about the character and at the time reveal additional info about the coaster.

DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
Maybe they removed it due to the storms and were worried for it Falling over or it sinking in the mud. I do doubt they would bring it all to site to try it out and then return it. All these things are figured out before hand. But I do imagine it would be positioned on the road, and would drive around the road as the coaster develops.

That's a good point @Theme Park Girl, one I hadn't actually considered, as I did wonder what they would do while track pieces were being lifted over the road. I'm thinking that this will be made a temporary entrance while the track is moved, and once over the road they could reopen the main road if needed.

@Skeeta that was exactly my first thoughts as soon as I saw those two parts. The angle and thickness of them, really make me think they will be.

6th picture? Yes, it really does show the colour of the grass quite well

DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
So here is this evenings update. 10 pieces of track now on site. Around 20 columns, some featuring large bases. In the corner of the site, gravel has been removed, along with the roads curb. A couple of diggers on the coaster site, but no large crane (They are at Top Golf). Also added the picture showing the pipes sticking out the ground around the stations location. As the sun was setting and only had my phone, lighting and quality isn't the best, so hopefully @Theme Park Girl can get some better ones tomorrow. They have also cut the grass (very exciting stuff) on the overflow carpark, and inserted some posts, in preparation for the Easter rush.

GC Wake Park - Mar 2017 flood
Well that's a shame, after all the time and error they had put in to getting it ready for opening, and not even 2 months later, it's been destroyed. Hopefully they can get it up and running again soon.

New Dreamworld Patisserie & Grill "coming soon"
Well that's disappointing. Maybe it was an error with the date, and it is supposed to open later or earlier than they had written.

Parkz Competition: Design the Movie World hypercoaster!
This is my attempt for it. It is very rough, and I didn't bother labelling it, because I don't know a lot of the terms and don't really have a clue based off the footings. I just did it, to try and follow the footing placement as closely as possible. I imagine though that the footings there are outside of the fencing are for much higher points on the track.

Great to hear a large crane is now on site, if the weather is kind to us early next week, hopefully we will begin to see supports being put in place. There are already a dozen on site, which were in one container, so maybe once the cyclone has passed we will see even more appear, followed by track. As some have said, I imagine those first few pieces were to check over, so I imagine the rest will start to appear on a daily basis.

DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
Whether someone has mentioned it or not, why would anyone think there is a delay. If you haven't seen the coasters construction schedule, which I assume no one has or will, they haven't got a clue what when things are happening. They know what they are doing, lets just let them build the thing, and if the coaster is announced to open later than September, than you can talk about delays.

I definitely tried that, and had way to many dots left over or some that didn't make sense, so gave up.

I don't really remember it, but the Superman Escape marketing was pretty good wasn't it. When did that all start?
