  1. That was my thought also. Remove all signage, statues and anything else related as a temporary solution and then one by one refurb the rides to be the parks IP or they’ll close everything at a later date and do it all at once. The later is a better option in terms of impact, but with the parks ride listing I can’t see it happening (depending on how extensive the works will be to construct the new rides)
  2. Despite the current high winds, Trident is currently testing
  3. The first dates have been added to the Dreamworld website for the maintenance schedule for 2023. No major closures next year, except for attractions in Dreamworks due to the refurbishment. Interestingly, most of them are only listed as closing for a couple days in January. I’m thinking that maybe the area will close from this date and they aren’t yet sure on length of time. However Mad Jungle Jam isn’t expected to close until July. So maybe the refurbishment will be in phases throughout 2023 to ensure the entire area doesn’t need to close and massively reduce the attraction count for guests
  4. I’m hoping number 1 happens one day. The ride has undergone recent refurbs, so investing into it to change a theme won’t be financially smart, but it will definitely clean up the mess of theme clashes
  5. I have a lot of nostalgia for them as it’s something I always loved as a kid. I think providing it’s only a couple dollar and they’re not difficult to control I’m sure they will be popular, especially in this location
  6. It seems the current DW management realised that the park was actually great pre 2000s and all the classic nostalgia that everyone loved was taken away. We’ve already seen over the last couple years small things/changes me made to fix this and this will only continue and get better
  7. I always remember these as a kid were an iconic part of Dreamworld. They had some in the fountain in the front of the park and in this fountain where these new ones are going, but that’s all I remember. Were they anywhere else in the park? What were they called? Did you have to pay? Did they open with the park originally and when did they close/remove them?
  8. The resurfacing of the floor continues and they’re repainting the columns and ceiling too
  9. I believe ticket prices have gone up to, with them being $69 for adults and $49 for kids
  10. Carnivale is back at Sea World on select nights in January and February. The event appears to be much the same as this years and might even be a simpler version as there doesn’t seem to be many extras available this year. The big marketing aspect for this event is the opening of the New Atlantis.
  11. @TBoy unfortunately I don’t know the answers to any of that Part of me thinks they might do it stages so they don’t have all their kids offerings closed at once. Since they’re already doing works on the parents centre, I can’t imagine it will open and then in a couple months it closes for most of the year to complete the works in the area.
  12. They are doing the works on the parents centre now to try and get it ready for peak summer. But all the major works for the area won’t happen until next year
  13. The current wave of COVID means Aussie World is temporarily closed due to lack of staff
  14. Dreamworld Flyer is expected to open mid 2023 and the kids area works will all be done by the end of 2023. The parents room (that we’re seeing work on now) is pushing to open for the busy summer period.
  15. Who on here has been able to ride Trident? What is your review and reactions to the ride?
  16. Surely not. The max wind speed yesterday was around 30km/h. Surely the park has bought an attraction that can’t operate in ‘high winds’, which this part of the world gets nearly everyday. I visited the park at lunch time because the app said it was operating with an hour wait and I got there and it wasn’t and it definitely didn’t feel windy at the park Also, rather than permanent fixed storage buckets, the park has opted for plastic buckets on the ground
  17. The website only lists vortex as closed for maintenance, can anyone confirm if trident has opened?
  18. I think they should have a pass tiering system at varying price points. Off a lower price option (which would probably be the price they currently have) where it’s just park entry. Than have a tier within the current one pass offering. And then a top tier which also includes the Village Key
  19. All 3 rides have been taken off the maintenance page now
  20. When leaving Sea World last week I noticed a sign (not sure how new it is or not) on the monorail track column (the first one you see as you enter the carpark). I didn’t get a full chance to read it, but it said something on the lines of that drone usage was prohibited along Sea World Drive.
