  1. The park doesn’t mess around removing everything Christmas related. Everything except the roof lights has been taken down.
  2. So to clarify: Superman is the fastest single direction launch coaster Steel Taipan is the fastest multi directional launch coaster Big Dipper is the fastest double seperate launching coaster Jet Rescue is the fastest tire double launch coaster And MDMC is the fastest tire single launch coaster
  3. I think you’re right, because it would be the fastest coaster with multiple seperate launches. Which means it’s only against Jet Rescue and the Motocoaster.
  4. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but they it’s Australia’s tallest and fastest multi-launch coaster, but Steel Taipan is taller and faster?
  5. Please tell us more
  6. I was there on Sunday, the park overall was pretty quiet. Some areas were busier than others, but at 12 when I entered the park Steel Taipan only had a couple cycles wait
  7. Good to see they are using the exhibition centre to help organise the crowd better. The website does say 10:30, but also says 12:30 and 2:30pm depending where you look. Emails say 12:30 but social media says 2:30. It is only two shows, but not sure which time it actually is
  8. Last week you said GL had an explosion and this week SE has a fire. Do you work at the park or just a guest at White Christmas who got to witness these things
  9. And I’ve been told that the seatbelts have been removed
  10. That’s definitely been one of the hardest parts for the park. In the past 5 years they have removed 7 rides. And so far we’ve only gained 2. Where some of those rides were, it’s very obvious something was there and has been left either untouched or as a pile of dirt. Out of the rides removed I don’t think we’ll ever see something replace TOT or BuzzSaw because of their locations, but there is definitely opportunities to replace the Log Ride, Big Red Car and refurbish the back corner of Ocean Parade where Kevin Hill and Flowrider were. In term of overall ride count, MW has 14 rides while DW still has 20. And while MWs overall are newer and some are better quality, I think if DW can get another couple really good attractions that match the quality of ST then their overall ride list will be a great competitor for MW. And if DW can fix the ABC Kids area and back of Ocean Parade and fill in the gap where the log ride was I think they could be on their way to becoming a better overall park.
  11. I think DW knew they were falling short in so many areas and their response to fixing that is to continuously offer new experiences/events throughout the year. And I think this year has been there best for a long time. They’ve still have issues and they’ve still got a lot more to do, but if this year is a preview of what is to come, I think the park could return to its (almost) former self in a few years. VRTP were mostly in a good spot before COVID, but have been hit pretty hard and have been relying on people just coming back because what they had was already good. WNW has desperately needed something for at least 5 years, so they’ve finally ticked that box. Reading everyone’s comments, it seems like MW is having the most issues and I’d say it comes down to the issues with getting parts from overseas. But they are also having operational issues and their events have taken a hit too. Usually we get the DC Comics event early Jan, but it doesn’t look like we’re not getting that either this year.
  12. Because the rides seem to constantly be having issues lately and half the seats on major attractions are unavailable. DWs ride operations have improved greatly and MWs have gotten worse. DWs staff (for the most part) are positive and engaged, while most of MWs look like they don’t want to be there.
  13. Shockwave has reopened. Which means every attraction at DW (excluding the train due to refurb) is operating. I can’t remember the last time this was the case
  14. The DC Rivals climb and Star Tour are also no longer available, despite it being advertised in park
  15. I wish they would repaint the station so it would return to its original look
  16. Here’s a closer look from the photo I posted yesterday
  17. That could be possible. But note that Carnivale was late Jan and Feb at the start of this year too
  18. I’d more than happy to see them refurb the entire queue and facade for GD. And simplifying, but modernising the aesthetic to suit ST. That could then open the opportunity to remove all the ramps and stairs and create a much simpler area.
  19. They have only just been removed in the past couple weeks. Since works around this area had begun they have remained there just not turned on.
  20. A new fence is being constructed
  21. But Micky Mouse is the face of Disney. The Rocky hollow log ride is definitely not the face of DW.
  22. They have repainted the walls out the front
  23. Both trains are operating this morning. Not every train has been running with full capacity (due to crowd levels), but they are consistently dispatching.
  24. Couple of days? That sounds like something that could keep it closed for weeks maybe even months
  25. That only started yesterday and the parks are always quiet pre Christmas, it’s from the 27th for a couple weeks where they get very busy
