1)Ride vechiles for the dino caves is the "Omnimover" from Revolutionary Rides: http://www.revolutionaryrides.net/index.html The CS for that ride is mostly the caves, which is shyguys rock set http://shyguysworld.com/ Just a few quick other notes, that ride does fit into the building. A lot of times with RCT3 dark rides in parks they're not in the park, but rather in a separate file and edited together, but I wanted to have the ride actually be in the park, and it was a rather late addition, hence how small it is. To make the ride I built a very simple track layout (staying at all times at least 3 blocks from the outside of the building), then decided on where the action would happen, then built my scenes around the ride. After that I built the cave walls, then I built a black box around it so even with a gap in the caves you wouldn't see anything you're not supposed to, then I built the exterior around the black building. The tricky part with that is to plan it so that the walls aren't up against each other, otherwise they'll strobe/look crappy. 2)Most of the custom scenary I used can these days be found at http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php As for a park wide list, I'm not sure what I used in this park, but I'll give you a list of the best of what I I have: 1274915252_nuru_swclavatorys (custom toilets, makes them look like a building rather than taking up one square,) AnimatronicRideEvents (Duplicates the animatronic s in the game as ride events) ath_catwalk_and_coaster_accessories_set (all self respecting players should have this) Bafke_Stations_v1-3 (I think I used this for the monorail stations) BridgeIt2010 (looks like a good set but don't think I've used it) Cap_n_Pogo_Strobes___Lights_v1.1 (not as good as Voodhlin's lights but does come in handy sometimes for ride events) coasterman20076stagelightt (Probably would bother with this one, light doesn't work and doesn't look that amazing anyway) CRMonoBeams (If you do make a park wide monorail this will make it more presentable, I didn't bother with it for mine though) doughnuts_junkyard_letters_v3.0 (3D letters. Look kind of crappy but sometimes you just need letters) DRPLightz MEGAPACK (again not as good as Voodhlin's lights but sometimes comes in handy) FencesAndRailings (must have set, lots of different new fences) Flume-Covers (used to make the "Timber River log ride" look more presentable) ImagineerJohn_s_Coaster-Kit_BETA_zip (can't remember what this one has in it but imagineerjohn_s stuff is pretty much always good IndustryAge jcrise_animatedlava_1.0 JMAinAZ_Fans_Themed M&PCoalMine (very good set, hard to find these days) McConnerysFastFood (again good set) mgpBlack (black walls, very useful for dark rides NYRBoxSupports (the supports used for the ride "Epic" oldman_john_oldman_cottage_set (used a couple of times in the park, has a custom stall which fits the building) PumperSteelWorx (a bit of a staple, if you know about CS you probably already have it) shyguy_mainstreet (8 sets in total, so many things that a motivated person can do with them) VodhinsLightingKitv2 TheCook_Doors11 I think that's pretty much the best of what I've got, buggered if I know where to find most of it these days (aside from the like above) 3) Thanks, I'll post more soon

Hey guys, I've been playing RCT3 on and off for a while (With CS it's a great way to satisfy the inner nerd) and thought you might be interested in my first pretty much finished park; Shipwreck Island. The video below is a click-able park map, once the map appears just click on the annotations to go on a ride, it's as easy as that! Will be uploading more of the rides but I think most of the ones people are going to want to 'go on' are up so check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GML8TTpodR8 Feedback welcome
  3. That'll happen when dispatches go from 4mins to 7mims every cycle.
  4. I normally have the opinion that all effects should be working, but the projection of a flower that's supposed to be Superman is one of the weakest effects known to man. Nothing wrong with this one not getting fixed, the ride is stronger without it IMHO.
  5. ^ I reckon he's talking about the steam. Haven't been on Superman for a month or two, but everything in the dark ride was working fine then.
  6. ^ The popularity thing is more about Toons and Batride not really about Bermuda, and those two rides rides weren't popular. The writing is definatly on the wall when, in the middle of the Xmas holidays those two rides each sport a 10min queue when everything else has an hour long queue. There is definatly a market for family rides, but those two rides weren't a draw anymore and passed their use by date.
  7. It's something I have wanted to mention for a while now, but with various commitments, and so many people having a whinge I've not had my say on it, but since this is the thread for it and I have a few mins, I'll put my 2cents into the opinion machine: I don't like the fact that they took out two family friendly rides. I think taking out 2 rides that are accessible to most people and then replacing them with 1 ride which skews to a comparatively specific audience which is already pretty well catered for is a bad idea. More over I don't like that the 2 rides they took out used to take about 40mins to go on even if you weren't queueing, compared to the 1 or 2min ride they're being replaced with. I don't think MW is a full day park, and making it 39mins quicker to do everything certainty doesn't help in that department. However, I'm not outraged by the decision. Having rides that people CAN go on is of only of any use if people ARE going on them. People weren't going on them. With those rides, I think it just got to a point where they were too labour intensive, weren’t popular, didn't figure in the parks long term plans, and due to their age, were becoming expensive to maintain/ overhaul and so it makes sense to close them. Having said that, I do think it was a mistake to close BMA:TR before Xmas, but the fact they did close it then does make me think that there is something in the works for that space for next year. Honestly though, who knows what goes on behind closed doors, for all we know they were going to put something in Toons this year but heard Dreamworld were adding a coaster and decided to steal their thunder instead. How that relates to Batride is anyones guess, maybe they've decided since they're adding a new coaster where they are going to make the area properly DC themed and full of popular new rides instead of aging burdens? Hopefully the year after Batride's replacement they can look at WB Kids area in general, not just the LTRR building. The whole area is tired, Speedy taxis is old to the point where cars are constantly breaking down, the ride is low capacity, doesn't fit the park anymore and simply has to go. Marvin the Martian has gone without replacement, and the whole area is pushing 15 years. I personally think trashing everything except Road Runner and maybe the toons building and completely starting over would be expensive, but also do the park a world of good. As for Bermuda, surely they've worked out what they're doing by now. Being the optimist I am, I'm hopeful that they simply finalised their plans too late to be implemented for this year, and have decided to roll it out next year. What ever it is, Sea World badly needs it. Even though Sea World's new parade is a fairly major offering, a lot of the rest of the park needs love. Pirate Ship, Train, Helicopters, Bermuda all gone without replacements in a park which didn't have many rides to start with makes the place feel more bare then it did years ago. The Monorails all need serious overhauls, and good ones at that, not like the last overhaul they had, or to be replaced (There are quite a few old monorail systems out there with the gauge and power inputs, I wonder if anyone has developed any rolling stock for them or how much it might cost?). I'm optimistic, and the reason I'm optimistic is because Village have done well adding new things time and time again. In recent years Castaway Bay was a great addition, and the Parade looks like it's going to be pretty epic, Penguin Encounter is a top quality exhibit , at Movie World Green Lantern is going to be a great coaster, Fright Nights and White Christmas are amazing events, and over at WnW Aqua-loop was (downtime not withstanding) a great buy for the park, and like it or not WnW IS the park where the up charges make the most sense. They still know how to add great attractions. As I've said in the past, I think they're in a transition phase with their parks, which is why people can come on here and point out some pretty significant and obvious flaws with the parks. The fact keep adding good attractions makes me think: "They know what they're doing".
  8. This thread has more topics split out of than any other I reckon. When work settles down I fully intend to remove all the "coasters are bad and movieworld sux!!!" into there own topic as well. Won't happen over night but it will happen Anyway, does anyone else think GL looks fast as? Was expecting it to be much slower, but very glad to be wrong
  9. I think there's a really good idea buried in there MickeyD. I think it needs a slight tweet though; so instead of being a pay per ride, make the ride free, and charge for the (optional) smart card. That way you don't alienate the people who don't want to pay, but give that something extra for the people that do. The way I'm picturing it is like those cards at Timezone, you buy one, stick it in the ride, and the points accumulate like tickets, which you can then spend on prizes. Perhaps put a limit on how many times you can go on the ride and still get points awarded to your card, and charge more for higher limits.
  10. To be doubley fair, none of our parks really have a central landmark with room for guests that would be suitable for this sort of show, and you should see what Movie World IS doing for Xmas.
  11. OK, we all know your opinion, and your reasons for it. It's not an invalid opinion, but I think we're all over reading about it in this thread. This is the thread for talking about the Green Lantern coaster, not the thread for complaining about Movie World's evolution from being exclusively a family park to a thrills based park. Thank you, have a nice day.
  12. FWIW I thought it was pretty good.
  13. Funny, when there were details emerging of just how cool this ride was going to be no one had anything to say. On board audio? That's awesome, and something extra Movie World have done to make the ride better that no one has made comment on. Pulsing LEDs on the frot of each car, extra capacity, lapbars, and the second steepest drop in the world gets no response on here but as soon as you see a spot to post a negative comment, in it goes. Such a disappointing attitude from people who claim to like parks.
  14. Not sure when they were installed, I was going to say they were installed by 1984, but clearly they're at least 2 years older than that. They are the slides that until recently were in the water park, I believe they were relocated In 1994ish. When the slides were next to the castle there was also a third small slide which didn't make the move. The spot in the water park they were moved to had previously been home to a slide called 'Rapid Mountain', an attraction that was very similar to Krakatoa's Revenge at Dreamworld, which apparently didn't fare well in the highly salty/ clorinated air and was closed after only a couple years of operation.
  15. ^ Think you'll find it did, hence Movie World's policy.
  16. Oh my god people, parades are supposed to be floats and dancers. I've never heard people complain that Disney parades lack a story so why is it s a problem. They should change it because it's boring, ah haven't they just done that? Fair dinkim its getting to be that people on here aren't happy unless they're unhappy.
  17. Last years was a sell out, why would they change it? From reading the above it seems like the biggest change is taking out the 'ice' skating which blocked up most of the plaza, and adding a new show. While I'm sure there will be other improvements, realistically given how successful it was last year I see little reason why they'd drastically change it.
  18. That, along with many other interesting tidbits about Sea World's history are in a book called"The real Surfers Paradise" the chapter is called "building an aquatic playground", published in the early 90's.
  19. Indeed, the height requirement for these rides overseas is about 123cm (same as Batwing which is also an S&S product. In broad terms, this ride will be somewhere between Superman and Scooby as far as family appeal goes. Having said that, it is a big coaster, and when I think family rides, I think of rides that not only the family can go on together, but also appeal to the whole family. This ride won't appeal to the whole family, but it is more inclusive than the biggest thrill rides and has a good capacity, so does fit the park reasonably well. The problem with Movie World not being family friendly isn't to do with this coaster, but this ride won't help the situation either, a new dark ride will.
  20. I don't agree with the sentiment. But damn, that was funny
  21. No order to these but I reckon of the coasters I've been on, these are the best 10: Superman Escape Scooby Nemesis Tatsu Riddler's Revenge Top Thrill Dragster Magnum Sheikra Ice Dragon Hulk Cali' Screamin'
  22. Don't worr MickeyD, I read your post and thought it was interesting, just like I normally do.
  23. I don't know if it's worth spending the extra $10million to attract the 100 or so people world wide who are likely to travel for a B&M coaster. While you could argue that a B&M coaster might be a better ride and have more staying power and be a draw for longer (all of which may well have merit), saying its worth spending tons of extra money because of all the international tourists you'll get is wishful thinking from local enthusiasts.
  24. My two step plan to turn the remains of SFNO into a viable tourist attraction. Step 1: Remove every building, ride and price of infrastructure. Six Flags took everything that works, and there's probably a good reason why they left the stuff they did. Step 2: build water park. There's not enough of a market in New Orleans for a full theme park, but it does get hot there, a water park is probably viable. Step 3 (optional): Open an FEC on the excess land, and design it in such a way that if demand dictates, it can grow into a full scale theme park organically over the next two decades. I genuinely believe that is the best chance the park has.
