The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
See I walk into Sea World and see an absolute mess of a construction site for an uninspired ride that 100% should never have been built in that location.

Village theme parks extended trading hours
I think someone saw rides operating at 6pm and thought "Well the park is therefore open" despite it just being to empty out queues. Maybe they're too used to the Fright Nights version of closing time, where closing time means 'rides finished by'. That's benifiet of the doubt, their arse appears to also be a valid answer in this case.

Gold Coast Parks in January
If you thought Monday would be the best day to go, you have the same opinion as everyone else. Welcome to busy park! In summer holidays, late in the week and weekends are the quietest time to go.

Sea World during the Summer Crowds
Yeah I hate to take that side but I also think it's waaay too dark in there. The problem is less about the lights and more that you go straight from outside where it's just full on sunlight and white painted buildings to dark as hell in an instant, and it takes a while for your eyes to adjust. Its also a cramped space, and it can get very busy at times, and the mirrors make it hard to get a sense of what's happening in the room. My first visit I stayed at the side of the room waiting for my eyes to adjust, and more than 1 person walked (gently) into me. I think for sure that prams in there makes what is a crappy setup anyway and makes it dangerous. Short of having an attendant to stop the prams, and a preshow to get people used to low light and to stop the building from being swamped, I think it should be brightened up a little in there. I hate that I have that opinion because it's really nice once you get used to it an if it isn't too busy but as is, no good.

White Christmas Parade 2019
Same, this stuff makes me very happy to hear. I haven't even considered subjecting family to White Christmas in a long time. Hearing they've made improvements and assuming those changes are in affect next year, as an event it's back on the table.

White Christmas Parade 2019
NO NO NO! The parade should only be visible or make sense to the 100 or so people crammed between the photo center and the screen. Western town should be an awkward line up of floats waiting to entertain the 100 people in the plaza, and the fountain should just be floats waiting to turn around with no real atmosphere. Crowd control should be restricted to telling guests 'NO!' sternly and the whole thing should be as crowded and unpleasant as possible with random bits of crap in the way and no where to walk. That's the way they've always done it, why change a winning formula?!?

Fully6 - WhiteWater World's new slide tower
It's been a while since I was 12, but from memory after the surface is slick more water becomes a brake. Also what you wear can slow you down and sitting up slows you down. Ideal is lying down with the kind of shirt.

120cm is a bit disappointing. Would hate to be one of the staff on it.

Take to the Skies with Sea World Helicopters in their all new world-class Terminal
World class means you can still see the lines from the old Carpark it's built on, good to know.

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
It's funny because back in the old days the made up excuse used to be it's a clearance issue with Corkscrew. Now apparently the line is it's a clearance issue with the stations. I think anyone who actually thinks there's a clearance issue should also stay away from timeshare sales people and just be aware that the Prince of Nigeria doesn't need your help to transfer large sums of money.

I really hope if it's down for a year it's getting some proper love, poor thing is in a bit of a state.

The Off Topic Topic
See to me it would make more sense to go with a Movie World logo this year and a Sea World one next year. Wet 'n' Wild won't benifit from having their logo out during winter and it's not like the titans are going to threaten the finals at all. As for theit other brands, Paradise Country is unremarkable AF, AOS maybe if they played a game out in the sticks as part of a community round. Top Golf could also be a good one to advertise, maybe an instadium thing would work better there - half off an hours bay hire if you show them your ticket to a Titans game, free hour's bay hire if they happened to win. These are the brands people will recognise and be worth promoting, Village Roadshow Theme Parks means nothing to most people, and may as well include Dreamworld as far as the casual Sydney public are concerned. Also have you noticed that KFC sponsor sport and not Collins Food Group? Village Roadshow Theme Parks haven't noticed.

Dreamworld December Update 2019
Have never understood extending the training the morning instead of the evening. From the point of view of 'get guests in the park'? Fine makes sense. For ever other matrix though it makes no sense. Try and get extra meal service? Won't happen in the morning. Extra ride capacity? We'll most guests don't get there till later so not so much demand. The only thing I can say in their defense is when they did trading till 6 last year the place was pretty empty come 5.30. I think that'll happen when there isnt any effort made to keep guests in longer as they're pretty well trained to leave at 5 these days. For my taste though it's sad to see Village's poor attitude to extended trading come to Dreamworld (Yeah I went there).

Rise of the Resistance Opening
The honest truth is I'm impressed by most things, particularity where some degree of effort and talent has gone into pulling off a good vision. These days most things fall into that category. The only thing that has never impressed is any motorbike coaster ever. I'm also rather good at knit-picking. For a start: Those staff name badges need to go.

Dreamworld December Update 2019
Hate to say it but the new seating area needs shade.

Rise of the Resistance Opening
Not going to lie I like that rides are trending more towards 'Live automated magic shows telling a story' away from 'Watch this screen while we rock your seat'
