  1. Sadly not the case I feel. Carriages don't require a lot of maintenance, especially by dreamworld standards. It's well known that locomotive isn't up to the task it was purchased for. Designed for flatter circuits and no tight corners.
  2. Two carriages is all it can haul without breaking down?
  3. It's a mock up of a real steam train, a poor one in my opinion (hence why I call it the "abomination"). This is a real one, which also happens to be the former Dreamworld Perry in its pre theme park working life. Taken in 1961 near Bingerra Sugar Mill (near Bundaberg)
  4. That's the diesel @pushbutton. No tender (coal and water trailer) for a start.
  5. The symbol (green heart with lighting bolt) is commonly seen on Automatic External Defibrillator's.
  6. @wikiverse thanks. Your post cleared up to me why I couldn't grasp the problem, as it works but is a messy way to do it.
  7. I hate apostrophes/apostrophe's, still struggle with them sometimes (and based on the mixed reactions to your posts others might too). Online grammar checkers give a pass mark for both with and without, so, what's the issue with this particular example?
  8. 👍 Which will be where Cards Against Humanity got it from.
  9. Cards Against Humanity reference?
  10. This photo has the similarities, albeit in two different spots (glass to the left & metalwork directly in front) The render looks nothing like it, at the moment the actual structure doesn't resemble the render much either.
  11. @Glubbo well spotted.
  12. Clearly after 12 years it's popular enough to invest in new tech and a new story. Like @MickeyD, it's sparked our interest after seeing it in probably 2009.
  13. So is it confirmed anywhere that it is floating through animal enclosures, or have we just gone off on a wild tangent that has been mistaken for fact?
  14. Clearly the entry to the new "Bunnings Onion slippery slide ride"? 😁
  15. I'm not sure plant registration is optional. I used to get emails from the body corporate ensuring that the new sign was up and old sign was down to avoid fines. That was for an elevator.
  16. The Baldwin hasn't been out for a while now, has it? From memory the gradient along the back of Mick Doohan and under TOT2 is steep, some earth works would be needed. Would also need a new storage and maintenance shed. I'd say once the abomination carks it, that is it for the train.
  17. Lower levels would be the wheelchair accessible seats, everyone else gets to enjoy the Brisbane Airport Jetstar experience (stairs) 😁 Perhaps a possible ride sponsor!
  18. Would it form part of the existing demolition of TRRR approval somehow?
  19. I used to look after residential apartment buildings. Every year I had to fit the "registration of plant" letter from WHSQ into the lift. It always arrived well after the previous one had expired (but payment had been made before the due date so was ok). Never saw a WHSQ inspector. Best I can figure is that the lift service company was self assessing their work to be competent and compliant. As the equivalent of a ride operator (training on operation but nothing more), I had to trust that those above me where doing their job correctly. I think WHSQ only investigate serious complaints and injuries/deaths.
  20. Now you're just putting facts into the story!
  21. You'd better specify if that is a Pot, Schooner, Pint or Yard Glass then, so they don't get you on a technicality.
  22. They are running a company to make a profit. It is nothing more than that.
  23. Burger Urge are always pushing the boundaries, gets them free publicity. And with the profit in in that business, they can afford the lawyers. I knew one franchisee, they paid off the setup cost of about $100k in 9 months. That's after wages, franchise fees, rent etc where paid! Mind you they did work 6 days a week each.
  24. On the previous page I had ten ads from top to the very bottom. Seven from the top to the last comment. That's on the mobile version.
