  1. Such a positive section of the thread derailed by pedantry as usual. "but why won't the parks engage with us directly".
  2. When the Vintage Cars alone looks exciting to ride, the coaster must be great. Once those trees grow out a bit more, people will completely forget where they are for a moment.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19qqYRAiq8/ Needs to be some hats eaten amongst the Parkz doubters.
  4. Confirmed : Tesla Supercharger compatibility! (/s if not obvious)
  5. I took my kids today, and yeah, heaps was closed. Looked at rivals about 1pm, single rider queue was 30+ people. Not surprised when dispatch times where ~6 minutes per cycle. Junior driving school was thankfully a walk on 😂
  6. The only testing we've been shown was moving a train very slowly into the station. I highly doubt it's done a full circuit yet.
  7. ^ Much longer than what Brisbane news showed.
  8. Channel 7 news had a short segment on the plane being carried through the park and placed - appears to have a lattice structure similar to a tower crane inside it to keep it sturdy. It's not on their Facebook at time of posting.
  9. Seems decent progress is being made. Up till now it's felt like they just shelved it whilst they were spending money on the Wizard of Oz precinct.
  10. A seven day a week opening park would also make removal of the ride challenging, isn't it kinda land locked? Large components would have to be trucked in and out at night I'd assume.
  11. Currently it's now "don't miss out riding your old favourite this summer", rather than beating to death Jungle Rush for months, making people sick of it. There was heaps of backlash to closing rides with no notice, so they're addressing that too. Between the two they've got a good mix of marketing for the summer holiday period.
  12. It was the not subtle dig at themselves (well Greg's predecessor) about replacing an iconic ride with more seating areas that I loved. And then the "All Purpose Turbine" in that press release document 😂.
  13. Didn't they have a shitty early 2000's level graphics one a few years back?
  14. But Parkz user base has constantly criticised the media for bringing the event up at every opportunity. Eight years on and we're (some of us) supporting when the competition stoops to the same level? My opinion, stand up for your business, but do it with some standards, don't fall to the level of the clickbait media.
  15. Last Sunday, we were waiting for friends who were going on the ride, we counted seven boats in circulation (so we knew when they were at the top of the drop to film them). Normally staff were keeping everything moving smoothly, but any delay (items dropped in the boat floor for example) very quickly stacked one, sometimes two at the bottom of the belt up to the unload. They'd recover after about 5-7 loadings.
  16. Parkz - where we panned Dreamworld for modifying old rides (log flume) rather than replacing them, or shoe horning rides into existing buildings (DV), and now we want them to modify old rides or shoe horn new ones in again 🤷🏻‍♂️
  17. It's a Jeep, not a train, so timber sleepers would look off.
  18. Are the gaps there to permit fake plants to 'grow' through in various places, smoke/fog to enter the room too, perhaps? As well as lighting effects as previously suggested.
  19. And then wonder why the parks don't interact with them. It's common across many hobbies/interest groups to have the same issues.
  20. My observation Parkz and the public, have absolutely blasted Movie World about the state of the park and lack of communication. Rightly so! My question. Do we, as a 'community', feel like they've listened and are making an effort, at least on the communication side of things?
  21. Implying that the "ride failure" is just a cover story for the refit of the queue area.
  22. So it looks like the Murrisippi Motors station is directly opposite Motocoaster shop. Going to be interesting to see how they handle two currently clashing themes (jungle buggies vs racing motorbikes).
  23. Yeah, what I was trying to get across is that both chassis will follow the exact same path, and it will just be the body on top that would be facing different directions. And because of the sensors, it probably isn't possible to just loop that indoor section. Theoretically, you could swap bodies between chassis (depending on how they mount of course)
