Not a photo of Movie World's new coaster
Aw hype replied to ashhole157's topic in Theme Park Discussion
This thread is like sharks all going in at a dead whale. This pic has sent us all into a frenzy. My thoughts, could the mack boxes be for sdsc and premier/vekoma are doing the new coaster? A collaboration build? Worlds first dual track manufacturer coaster? Mack does a dark ride portion-premier does the roller coaster/intense bit? -

How about a hyper into a mid course dark ride followed by the worlds first inverted (upside down launch) or a launch that launches you through an inline twist whilst still launching u -

Thanks mark sounds good. thank you for listening to my request on signage for bountys. This allows new and or first time park goers to understand why the ship is there, and what it means/was. It also commemorates many great times in people's childhood, always serving her duty as a family thrill ride. p.s: for mi3 are you going along with the theming of horror:abyss and inferno, mythical/sea creatures: kraken, buccaneer or A yerkj extension of some sort, and is there any chance of a resurrection is of where the castle used to be. -

Ha tim I wouldn't have a clue. And, was inferno (aw drop tower) once a travelling ride as there seems to be a ticket booth control area, as well as a fair style entrance that burns the hell out of ur feet in summer. That's one thing I recommend mark get changed. Too, was freefall shut all season last year, as in the three times I went it was not even testing? And if so, why? -
They just dug themselves a big hole with the bs coming out of their mouths. Fastest waterslide ever? I think not bloody aqua loops are faster. All in all, very poor scripting from jamberoo. Exactly. An enclosed bowl slide can accomodate lights and sfx. If you ask me, having a variety (bowl and tornado) is better than two tornados. If anything, they should have made it a kiddie version of the funnel web.

Looks nice. Is it fenced off from the rest of the park, or can guests actually touch/interact with it??? -

Thanks iwerks, the park improvements are looking really good! is there any signage around bounty's grave, explaining what it was?? Good to see they updated the map and made the shape more realistic. And, where abouts in the park is her deathbed???? Was curious as it wasn't on the map and could vaguely see the what I think is the lagoon in the background?? And one final thing, does anyone know if season pass holders still go through the same area as the online ticket holders??? -
Not trying to hate or anything, but why the hell would you get another tornado? As if funnel web isn't a good enough tornado for even a major park. Seems kinda retarded, why not do a triple bowl slide instead of a triple tornado. Is it jealousy of kraken pulling in all the records?

With all the new theming, its like aw did a mt1 (maximum theming) this year. -
Since this is the off topic thread, I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there's massive race riots in the city of Charlotte North Carolina, home of cedar fairs park carowinds, and is in a state of full emergency. Looks nuts but i wonder how this impacts on the park in a situation like this.

Can I just say, that theming on the side of water mountain imo is better than dw mining theming -
Dreamworld - no new roller coaster 2017-18?
Aw hype replied to Jamberoo Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I don't know if anyone knows this, but movieworld did plan a massive 150 metre doomsday attraction back in 2013, before the area had been announced. This proves mw arent scared to go high, but it just seems they haven't cleared enough room for a hyper+ coaster. In saying this, if they were building a hyper, and contradicting with the "8 minute ride time", they could be at the moment doing groundwork for a dark ride component, and then later clear room for the part that for the actual roller coaster. Even a mid course dark ride would be world class. Just sayin -
Yh it's annoying that the maze only have a waterslideplayground when they should have half of their park completed, and the only new thing they've got since stage one is that little blow up slide there getting this season, when that waterpark comes back to ascot with massive slides. Anyway, about a year and a half ago, I messaged the maze on fb asking when stage 2 would open, and they said "we are at the final stages of approval from the city of swan". That was over a bloody year ago and even though it would be cheap for the maze to buy from great escape, they won't get much attention for slides that are down there with Kalamunda, and that have been open since mirrabooka action park. My question is, what does the city's of swan have against the maze opening slides, when all it will do is bring people and tourism to the area
-
Well I drove past Hilary's today, and it definitely looks like great escape is closed. Just an empty park and closed gates, no employees or anything, and it doesn't look like any deconstruction/redevelopment is going on as of yet. It is sad to see it go though, in such a nice area for a park like itself. I'm sure many people have had memories there, and I for one had my primary school graduation living on the twister. Is it just me or does every park in Perth just seem to close?? At least we've still got aw, but are now left with nothing north of Perth. Sorry no photos my phone died.

Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
Aw hype replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks iwerks that's what I meant there was a bit of a blank spot on who owned/operated aw during the 90s. But one things sure, apart from turbo mountain, it was a crap time for aw -

Imagine the opportunities for expansion if Michael edgely had brought the land Down to where Cockburn ice arena is. The opportunities would be endless and could haven even given aw to be there with universal attraction wise. But he obviously didn't think it would become what it is when he opened it. Anyways, for what it is, mark and the crew have done a great job on the park giving it many face lifts and made it a household name in Perth. If edgley hadn't sold the park, it would be nothing like it is now and sold to pay for his debt -

Maybe for the mi4 build a dark ride/revenge of the mummy style attraction, masters being a massive building, a bridge would be a good idea to go over the road. Or if bought, move the animals from wildlife experience over and possibly a terrain coaster around the back of aw?....Far into the future maybe mi4 and 5 -

Aw hype replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I agree @AlexB. I was just speculating what could possibly happen if it was 8 minutes long. I doubt that @Theme Park Ninjas information was credible coming from a lower ranked employee. We probably would know more about the roller coaster then some employees. Coming to think about it, the average speed should be high considering its in a villain themed area, and it would be a bad fit with doomsday destroyer just to add a kiddie style coaster. To further back my statement, reliable source rcdb has listed the ride as extreme, and as soon as any things announced, they're on to it. -

It could take up to 8 minutes if a roller coaster/dark ride combo is made (like wonder mountains guardian at Canada's wonderland but more intense) and the new sound stage could probably be used for the dark ride portion. Mw would have to be running lots of trains unlike on superman and have high capacity trains. It could possibly be themed to suicide squad and who knows what "world class attraction" is gonna be built in time for the commonwealth games.
