  1. If i was running the park here would be my plans for the next couple of years to follow up ST and continue growing the park; 2023: ABC Kids World Upgrade, with new dark ride and 1 - 2 kid flat rides. 2024: New Water Ride in Ocean Parade taking up the area (quick mock up to explain it better shown below) that occupies the old Trolls Village Area, Zombie Evolution and Flow Rider areas. Red: Station Green: Ride Envelope (can extend behind WWW and back stage if needed) Blue: Queue Area Purple: Exit Pathway 2025: New Flat Ride & Coaster. Flat Ride located in the old Blue Lagoon area creating a connecting path with ST Courtyard and the Giant Drop Elevated pathways with the coaster located in the old RHLR area. Below are 2 options of each I could see happenint Flat Ride Options: - Fun Time Star Flyer (drastically changes the sky line, eye catching, 120cm height requirement) - Mondial Top Scan (eye catching, good capacity, 140cm height requirement) Roller Coaster Options: - GCI Wooden Coaster (provides airtime, traditional non-inversion focused coaster, gives the park solid airtime) - Intamin Ultra / Mega Coaster (provides airtime, no inversions) After these additions, the park could make other improvements to existing rides (full retrack for GC by vekoma if they aren’t planning on removing it, new gondola with lap bar restraints for The Claw - Same as Goliath at AW) but start to slow down a bit until their next big investments.
  2. Doesn't appear that TNT has gone vertical yet but it does look like the foundations are starting to be done however, Project Zero is far into vertical construction and won’t be surprised if it is complete by the end of the month. Photo Credit: @mittythemeparks instagram.
  3. i really thought the exit out of the station would’ve had rock work continuing out of the station, not just a plain tin shed… I really hope they do something with that as well as the Maintenance Shed next to the break run, what an eyesore.
  4. Leviathan’s supposedly hitting speeds of 100km/h, which if true that’s crazy compared to the 80-85km/h that’s been promoted along with the ride.
  5. Since testing has started, who’s ready to ride “the worlds best wooden coaster ever built”
  6. Loki Drayton Manor - Zamperla Nebulaz That model would’ve worked so well in the WoO area as it would’ve rounded out the area so well imo, maybe in the future they could expand and install one into the area🤞🏼
  7. sadly i think they are sticking to it, everything that’s happening currently on sight looks to be following these plans
  8. From personal experience (i’m same age as your kids) my friends and I tend to have more of an enjoyable and fun time at Dreamworld compared to Movie World, it feels like there’s more to do and see, the food is less expensive and staff are nicer (I lean more towards GP then Enthusiast so i go to just have fun then look into stuff when home.) The Lines at Movie World also draw us back from going there compared to Dreamworld, last time we visited on a school day (mid term) Superman & GL were broken down most of the morning so the waits were averaging around 30-60mins, whereas at Dreamworld you can mostly expect 10-25mins depending on what’s open and what’s not.
  9. they one upped you then, it’s actually plain dark green
  10. how long do star flyers normally take to construct? currently it’s still just the piece we saw yesterday.
  11. I thought it was known Trident was going vertical once Leviathan was completely finished construction, or was this just a rumour?
  12. I’m shocked i was right about Vortex’s random maintenance date. Trident finally going vertical is an indication Leviathan is actually complete now excluding testing. I expect testing to start in a week or two if it hasn’t already started after park hours.
  13. who mentioned koalas at sea world? i said funding to build the rides🧍🏽‍♀️
  14. maybe all the delays is just an effort to try and convince the government for more funding😭
  15. the original funds were for a proposed project which was dropped and were no longer able to be used for the initial project, so they used that funding to prioritise another project. it’s not a big ass conspiracy like you’re trying to make it out to be.
  16. couldn’t agree more. If village got funding to finish projects such as The New Atlantis and WoO i expect everyone on here attacking dreamworld now to be as passionate as they are right now.
  17. i don’t get why people on here are acting like Dreamworld stole money from the government, when it everything they’ve done was all approved and accepted by the government. If it was an actual issue the government would’ve turned it down or asked for the money back, but they didn’t. If y’all want to attack someone attack the government, not the company who received funding from the government.
  18. the past couple times i’ve been to the night markets and the park during the day they’ve actually been pretty busy compared to previous years if it was village you’d be saying how great they are and to stop attacking them as they used the money elsewhere from a cancelled project, we all know you would. Tigers don’t live in coomera, however they live in very similar weather conditions (20-30°c) that are found on the Gold Coast. So having polar bears in this weather compared to tigers is a lot more dangerous and not even comparable.
  19. the project ended up being cancelled / on hold for the time being so instead of wasting the money, they asked if the money could be used towards the coaster, it’s a pretty straight forward situation. if it was village you’d agree and back the decision up. I mean they have Arctic animals out in 30-40°c weather when they’re use to living in -40-0°c, i don’t know how this doesn’t stink but using money from a project cancelled by a pandemic elsewhere in the park does stink.
  20. if you look at the major rides lost (ToT, Buzzsaw, Wipeout), they were all very unreliable rides no matter how good they were (excluding buzzsaw.) I would prefer having a more reliable, stable line up with a major coaster (current lineup) compared to the old line up which consisted of unreliable rides including their #1 coaster which was down more then open. Sadly i don’t think the GP see it this way.
  21. I feel like the SW log ride will come way before the DW log ride, if it was a classic log ride type of ride, i can't see Dreamworld adding one until their reputation is very high again. I could however see then adding a mack water coaster though, or a mack power splash. If they were to go with the power splash, i don’t think it would be added until the ABC Kids World refurb. By the sound of it their next addition is well underway and may come as early as end of next year.
  22. let’s just hope that’s all for the start of the year in the “thrill ride” department.
  23. Some of the 2023 Maintenance Schedules have been uploaded for next year: they have been uploaded earlier when compared to previous years, i wonder if this is a way to make sure people who are planning holidays aren’t left disappointed from “short notice closures”
  24. i’d guess it would be a tease but who knows these days. if you look into it as if it’s a tease, it gives me House of Kain vibes, however i don’t think we’ll be getting that again and i don’t remember HoK being that gory looking; but i’d expect something sort of along those lines or maybe sacrificial spiritual stuff? also looking at MW’s post, it does look like some sort of witch or something along those lines so if there’s original themes again im expecting a witch. In the same post i don’t know if this is a coincidence or not but whatever is behind the text is holding up 5 fingers which i’m guessing is confirming it will be 5 mazes again this year. i do hope they release some sort of teaser like they did in 2019 which allows us to speculate easier (the video of the old lady in the chair giving maze theme hints)
