  1. yes, it is popped in the billabong restaurant and basically is just plastic “ice blocks”, with a dimension of no more than 10 by 5. The blocks kept going to fall as well.
  2. I went last night and thought I would add some thoughts. Positives + great entry process, early entry was great + fantastic to see Dreamworld buzzing with a large crowd, people having fun and a vibe of excitement + Winterville is a great little pop up, well themed and a perfect spot + The Winterfest sign was wonderful, the very front of the park looked wonderful Some possible suggestions for going forward + The “central” entertainment was non existent, it was hard to tell if there were any shows or places to be at a certain time + The lighting was lovely but there wasn’t enough “lighting entertainment” throughout the park + The ice maze is embarrassing + Was a shame Buzzsaw was not operating
  3. Was there this morning, agree the vibe is amazing, always something happening. The app has updated so you need to be in park to VQ, that seems to have improved the VQ wait times, at 11 hypercoaster was only 10 minutes, green lantern was empty ! It’s a great event
  4. A ridiculous show, really unfair they show a tragedy then cut to footage at Movieworld. Well done Channel 7, the parks have just come out of COVID and you’re out there trying to destroy an industry that employs thousands.
  5. Took some photos behind the walls at Trolls Village today. Is it just me or does the 'background' look 'new'? Anyone have any guesses as to what the theme could be? Could this be 'Winterville' for Winterfest?
  6. The kids offering is very poor at the moment, 'Big Red Boat' is half capacity (lol), Gingy's Gliders is shut, The Donkeys are shut and the Shrek Carousel is down, if you have a toddler there is nothing.
  7. Dreamworld actually has a pretty good selection of flats now. I think their recovery strategy should mostly be made up of coasters, refurbishing ABC world and expanding corroboreee (which I feel is what they might do where the log ride is). I still think they should be getting the Trolls license back.
  8. Dronkey Flyer maintenance extended until June 25. I would say a Dreamworks rebranding is coming. Pretty poor the park waits until 9:00am on the day its supposed to open to extend maintenance.
  9. I don’t think so. I imagine the land there is going need to settle for a bit. I believe they are also clearing around Trolls Village, so it is good to see Dreamworld getting a clean up.
  10. Dreamworld desperately needs an app. To launch that with Virtual Queues like Movieworld would be a good move.
  11. I think if they went more 'young tween' they could do Teen Titans, its more relevant to tweens than say Madagascar at Dreamworld.
  12. It seems Scooby is closed today. Last Saturday it was shut too, I think they shut the ride when they have a function in the castle of that evening
  13. The hypercoaster was originally down until June 26 so that is a rapid maintenance period. Green lantern still hasn’t been added to the virtual queue even though it is open.
  14. So presumably tomorrow something will be announced for every park, Gold Coast Bulletin normally has the news on this the night before (they did for Atlantis), will keep an eye out.
  15. I do agree kids are pretty well catered for most of the time at dreamworld, unfortunately the carousel and the dronkeys are shut so that did limit our toddler a bit.
  16. Was there today, the Big Red Boat door is broken, so the ride is only running at half capacity and the ABC World continues its descent into disrepair. It's an embarrassment to the park.
  17. Me too, it's long overdue. I think I originally read it was going to cost $1,000,000 which in the grand scheme of things doesn't seem that large. Bluey + a couple of cheaper kids rides would be an instant win.
  18. This year Movieworld celebrates 30 years, with the last anniversary celebration being June 2016 (25 years). This will be a major opportunity for the new owners to showcase Movieworld's past but also focus on the future. Last week they did some filming at the park which I am thinking may be linked to the 30th anniversary celebrations. In June/July of previous years Movieworld has run the DC Villians event but this was moved to January this year, I am wondering if anyone has any predictions about what might be occuring?
  19. I think reflecting on the Summer activities Dreamworld got it right with Bluey, but very wrong with Monster Trucks. Extended evening trade would have been a cheaper and more appealing option I think.
  20. I think it makes sense to move most maintenance to Feb as borders are likely to still have an impact on tourism, but boy I think I will skip the park in Feb with all that maintenance.
  21. Does the vortex have a fast pass queue? It’s not available for VQ on the Seaworld app yet.
  22. In the email blast today it says to actually meet Bluey costs $20. Outrageous when they were at Westfield Coomera in Jan for free. dreamworld will upset a lot of people with that decision.
  23. I would say this is a bit of a test as before COVID Dreamworld was heavily hinting that bluey was part of the abc world refurb
