The nightquarter is amazing and has gone from strength to strength in its first year. Miami Marketta is also great, this provides a similar offering in between. Will be immensely popular and successful IMO. Nothing trashy about what is being planned.

The tram won't be going to Nerang. It would be up on bricks after each stop. Tram will eventually run from Helensvale to the airport, with potentially a branch off to robina in about 15 years time

you can't live life in fear. Thousands die on the road each year, families could be forgiven for worrying everytime they get behind the wheel that their kids could be hurt, but you cautiously move on. Most of the general public understand that a freak accident took place. The chance of a freak accident occurring again is no more likely to happen at DW as it is at any other park, and I think that's fairly common knowledge.

A dinosaur themed land is craziness.. The thing with dinosaur themed lands, the landscaping and scenery is as much if not more important than the dinosaurs. Unless you have land that naturally lends itself to that kind of theme, it's not going to be pulled off without an absolute buckload of money.

Really don't get the obsession with an 'Australiana theme'. We're in Australia already FFS, I have an Australiana theme everytime I walk outside of my house or go for a drive. There are plenty of 'australia' driven experiences already in most of the capital cities to fill the niche for the international tourist market.

DW has done a great job in the past couple of years in revitalising the park. Whilst there have been no signature rides installed, the overall park itself and it's offerings are greatly improved

You are way over-analysing. Again. if I tell my missus there's awesome fares available to the US at the moment, that doesn't mean there is no way to return back to Australia, or that the return flights are expensive, just because I didn't mention that.

So guests drive to the park, then catch the ferry home? Do buses only work one way? There is either a functioning ferry terminal, or there isn't.

So you can get on the ferry, but then you can't get off anywhere?

That would then lead to a massive lawsuit against the media agency.. 'Deemed unsafe' and 'in the process of being signed off' are two very different things..

I have no issue with the soft opening minus thrill rides, as long as everyone entering the park knows that they are getting. Most families & people will make a cautious approach to going on rides at DW for a little while, regardless of sign offs. This allows people to ease into it.

Are rides not an attraction? if you tell me the attractions at the Dreamworks Experience will be open, that means the rides. Given the Madagascar show only plays once a day, or twice in peak, you could only consider that an attraction for 40mins a day. The water spraying characters are hardly an attraction.

I have to say my initial thought was how a show re-creating the arrival of captain cook to Australia was somehow going to compliment an aboriginal cultural focus...

From all the info given by DW, I would have assumed the entirety of dreamworks would be operating, including rides. I hope they do get that through sign-off etc this week as the inclusion of those rides at least makes options available for a slightly older age bracket. Disappointing if they have reneged on the $25 per pass holder donation. Whilst I know that was going to hit them heavy in the pocket, like it was mentioned earlier, 90% of the attendance on the weekend will be passholders, especially given the ride lineup available.. hopefully the removal of passholders from the spiel was an oversight..

Mario kart themed bumper cars and I'm in... or even a ride similar to the old Wacky Soap Box Racers at Knotts with Mario Kart cars would be amazing

I think it's the opposite, it's a good move. Whilst I'd happily jump on TOT2 or BS tomorrow, many people will be conservative on their ride thrills at the park for a little while, especially when it involves their children, and to me that's completely understandable.

In the same place, I only had just over 3 weeks left, and probably would struggle to convince the Missus to buy again so close to the incident, now I've got 6 months to slowly get her back in it.. As for me, I'll be there with bells on next weekend!
