  1. Well you'd make a general assumption that, yes, people like the show - it's now into its 6th season in a fairly cutthroat industry that sees dozens of poorly rating shows cancelled each season. As an anthology series each season is quite different in theme and tone. ive enjoyed each season, except the last season 'Hotel' which is just couldn't get into
  2. Parks generally don't put out a press release for car park works... It was in an interview with the GCB I believe
  3. Agree Tim that an integrated resort would be amazing for tourists. I guess I'm looking at it from a locals perspective, given that's what I am. I'd like to think in 2018/19 once we have got past the launch of the new coaster that Kids offerings will be the next step. I think JDS is a great kids addition to the park, and RRR is a great kids/family coaster, but the rest of the offerings are poor/out of date. 3-4 new attractions would breathe life into that area and be a massive drawcard for families
  4. Potentially, but AOS/TG/Hotel & Whatever form the Lakeside precinct takes will still not add to a standard day out at the theme parks (well not without additional expenditure). To be honest the first step in Movieworld turning the family tide in their direction will be revamping WB kids to a level similar to Nickelodean Land at SW. They have the room to do so.
  5. And I'll counter that by the difficulty in lugging a family with young kids to 3 different theme parks, one of which is a good 30min drive away from the other 2 (if you get favourable traffic), not to mention the minimum hour it takes you to get off the Spit on a busy weekend versus parking in the one spot and having access to it all. Don't get me wrong, I love my Unlimited membership & love my coasters making MovieWorld my personal favourite park, but for convenience with a family, Dreamworld can't be beaten.
  6. DW holds the title in many people's eyes on the breadth of their offering, as discussed many times here. Not everyone goes to theme parks for coasters
  7. Just because AHS isn't utilised in other Universal properties doesn't mean they don't have global exclusivity. I'm not familiar with AHS's syndication but i wouldn't be surprised if it is not overly popular in those countries.
  8. Would depend on if the licensing rights sold to Universal were globally exclusive or domestically exclusively
  9. In my opinion, yes that will happen. Village Movie World perhaps
  10. Warner Bros is really only tied to the park by name and some shared licensing. I don't think we are far from seeing 'Warner Bros' removed from the parks official name in the future
  11. Yeah agree Magician. Horses & Sheep play a fairly integral part in the overall theme of any 'Outback Spectacular' show, which is heavily targeted go the overseas tourist market who just lap up Aussie/Farm animal in action.
  12. The secret is you won't need to apologise if you think before you post. Literally 2 posts before yours someone asked a stupid question and had 8 negative votes, so you had an option then (with some forewarning on how those type of questions are received) on whether to post your question, and you still jumped right onboard the stupid question train with him...
  13. @Jamberoo Fan there is no 'link' to the location of the Top Golf site, but a generally accepted area that the project will be constructed on. Re: hotel theme, I think relevance & longevity dictate that theming a hotel to an individual franchise offers far more risks than potential benefits (unless you are Disney..)
  14. May wanna lose the whiny "why has no one answered my silly question so I'm gonna re-post it again just to annoy everyone" act. Working hours depend on many things including but not limited to, council approvals/restrictions as part of the DA, the operating structure of the company in charge of the build, individual contractor contracts, needs of the business (MW), construction timelines, weather... My guess would be that you'd probably see something happening on a Saturday but unlikely a Sunday, but that's a guess, and is no more accurate than a guess you could have made yourself..
  15. Good night tonight, slumming it with the non terror-tourers haha despite being a sell out, we had the 4 mazes done by 8pm. Waited over 30mins for Catatonic VR which was pretty meh so that was probably the only disappointing part of the evening
  16. Headed to FN's tonight and completely confused as to which order to do mazes. Have everything down pat in previous years, skipping the 'intro' and waiting by the gate to the studios, and getting through the 2 hero mazes within 30-40 mins. Im thinking heading straight for the show stage, then out the back for the 2 in the new building before heading back for F13. I may have missed it amongst all the posts - but where do you access the new maze location from?
  17. Overnight where? I've seen after party events until midnight on 28/29 but nothing about overnight
  18. I'm glad you quoted a post prior to this comment to give it some context, as if it was a standalone post I would be very, very worried...
  19. The 2 times I visited it's been on & off with technical issues, mainly because massive guys feel the need to slam it down like they are playing a skill tester to save their lives..
  20. Was more interested in the hippos.. Straight through to the keeper
  21. Doubt there will be any change. Wouldn't have been anything happening today, and tomorrow is a public holiday so nothing will be happening.
