  1. From the pictures, it appears to have hit the ground 'wheels down', which has prevented riders being crushed. I'd imagine had the riders legs hit the ground first, they would have been crushed and we'd be seeing a much more devastating accident
  2. If only it was a DC film about to film next door, they could have made a big deal about the grand opening of the new area with promotion in park with the actors etc. Quite ironic that whilst all the focus in park is DC, that the production arm of VR is using Thor 3 as a tent pole opportunity to snatch future Marvel productions for the studio's and Australia
  3. Looks horrific and a Miracle that no one was killed.
  4. Didn't the CEO say within 4-6 weeks they'd be making a major announcement? I doubt you'd give that timeframe and then make the announcement literally a few days later..
  5. How could you possibly know more than the 'Senior Ride Staff' TPG? That don't know what the problem is apparently!! Haha
  6. Down the middle of Main Street, and then the parade can literally be on 'floats'
  7. What about a lazy river snaking through Movieworld with exit points at each ride entry?
  8. Long ranging article on GCBulletin about the Thor Production, shooting locations etc. Usually would have posted/quoted it but it was a massive article and copying/pasting from my phone is a pain in the proverbial.
  9. It would be nice, but can't see it happening. The effort and money spent to ensure dead fine in queues was a little more interesting seemed to dry up when everyone started having phones with them to keep them entertained
  10. TOT closes in High Winds. With what's hitting the GC right now I wouldn't expect it to be open this weekend
  11. Whilst we already knew it, further confirmation today that Thor 3 will film from July 4 until late October, and they have exclusive use of the entire 9 sound stages during the production period.
  12. Haha.. Awesome. Excuse me while I fetch some tissues. anyways, let's get back on track! who's keen for Parkz meet up on opening night??!!
  13. I doubt people click dislike simply for disagreeing with you. If that was the case 50% of all posts would have negatives on here You probably get them because you use words like 'peeps' and your posts lack substance... Anyways, I had to get a negative 1 day! It's finally come! Haha.
  14. Wow, a negative score for a disagreement. Haha. How petty. You have your opinion, I have mine, but having personally seen how popular these style ranges are interstate, and in Brisbane, I can assure you you will be mightily surprised by how popular it will be
  15. When the town centre opens at Coomera it will open up a lot more food & entertainment options at the northern end of the Coast, and make the area more of a destination area away from Surfers, and a likely more family attractive option. I don't think you get it. your run of the mill driving range doesn't attract corporate dollars or functions, it doesn't offer wet weather cover, it doesn't offer comfort, it doesn't offer shade. That isn't catering for yuppies, I'd say it caters for everyone. As for who goes to cinemas, most people? Don't know many people that wait for a home release to check out an anticipated movie.
  16. An outrageous rip off? $20 for a family for an hour? Which world do you live in where that is a rip off? A trip to the movies for a family costs $100 these days.. I haven't seen it officially anywhere that you can't bring your own clubs, and would seriously doubt that is the case.
  17. I My guess would be with the unavailability of the studios the design and production process for the mazes may be more time intensive than previous years, so they've knocked one maze off early in an easy location to get the ball rolling
  18. It's still almost 4 months out. You won't see cosmetic changes for a while yet...
  19. Was about to say the same thing Magician, never got that Nickelodeon sneak peak that was promised
  20. Awesome concept. people need to stop thinking of it as just a driving range, because it's not. As few have mentioned, it's family friendly, great for a few drinks with friends, will be popular with teens, and will be a VERY popular corporate venue. As Alex pointed out, Penrith Aqua Golf was all the rage when I was growing up in Sydney, you had Sharkies on the way out to Wonderland as well. I haven't played a game of golf in over a decade, but I'll be visiting this place without doubt. You are being short sighted about the vision for the concept. it really has nothing to do with MW other than being located next to it and it having a common owner. Of course it will cost extra, it's not inside the park. That would be Asgard being constructed for Thor 3.
  21. Correct, as I stated a few pages back, as well as the technology's persistent maintenance issues
  22. Maybe if they get sick of the whole DC thing in a decade they can re-theme the area to LOTR and make it an Ent ride...
  23. Appear to be countersunk screws ..
  24. Is it vinyl wrap or floating floorboards type material. If the later (which it appears to be) these are actually quite grippy and designed to not be slippery
  25. Really milking that 'story' for all its worth. Love how they are taking silence from the Wanda Group as a positive reflection of it happening! Haha
