  1. You ate judging a pole dude... Once the arms are attached and theming added the colour scheme of the pole will either blend in to be unnoticeable or at least make sense. What tower? If you are referring again to the pole (it's just a pole, get over it), the original press release said the ride reaches 20m, so by the time you add the arms, from that photo you could agree that at the highest most point reached by the arms, it would be approx 20m, right?
  2. Told you they'd fade just sitting out there for months before opening....
  3. The question is though, is it the most popular ride in the park (in your opinion, not sure if that's based on any data) based on the fact it is a Scooby Doo themed ride, or because of the style and type of ride, and who it caters for?
  4. I've heard that it cries itself to sleep at night..
  5. I hope she's good looking....
  6. Yeah dude, am more than aware CDs still exist, we sell them at my workplace, my comment was in jest of the fact it's pretty damn rare people buy them. Guess it's hard to get your untunes playlist autographed though...
  7. I actually believe it did hit the scrap heap a couple years back now... I don't have the updated mapping program I used to, but from memory it disappeared from the paddock a while ago
  8. Great review TPG. the one thing that stood out for me from your review was the fact you own a CD... Do they still make those things?
  9. The land was worth far far more than the gross profit the park was generating, especially given they were not putting new attractions in (they were closing them down slowly instead)
  10. I agree with you, the proposal is just a pipedream.. What are we, 3 years now since it was first proposed? Still not concrete financing, land, anything really that shouts "we're committed to this going ahead". I however strongly disagree with your opinion on Wonderland. Similar to DisneyDoll I spent the majority of my youth/teens as a Wonderpass holder, and the park was impressive at its prime. I wonder how often you visited, and whether these visits were prior to it being run into the group? It was a true full day themed Park that catered for all age groups. Would absolute love to have been able to take my son to experience it. The Bush Beast, IMO, remains in the top 5 rides ever to grace our shores
  11. Exactly what I was going to write but knew I'd have people jump down my throat saying "what about shelter for everyone to eat their lunch outside when it's raining"
  12. Riddle me this.. if you built the additional elements first, would they still be additional elements? Or would they become the initial elements? "We planted this awesome tree right here, so we built this Doomsday ride just there as an additional feature to complement the tree".
  13. Naa.. There is still a few of the elevated train stations around, they are keeping them to ensure Push doesn't stop visiting... Was that not one of the key reasons for its construction?
  14. Interested to know how you came up with that sequential order... Must of been tough..
  15. Don't get you're knickers in a knot Alex... It was a joke..
  16. They paved the highway? Gees no wonder those roadworks never end... What happened to good ole bitumen & asphalt
  17. I'm sure I read this someone on this forum a few weeks ago? Or maybe somewhere else? im not the biggest fan of it being bought out by a wholely international corporation or group. I'd love to see it keep some Australian ownership ties.
  18. djrappa is right, it sets the tone and atmosphere having it all up & close. Also allows you better choice without having to transverse the whole park to see what's on offer.
  19. WBK is open on Carnivale and is packed, can't see where you would get all those stalls in that area unless in the walkway between WBK and the big screen. The issue then would be people queuing across the walkway making it a nightmare. as you mentioned, wet weather safety would be a primary reason why it won't be moved, availability of power outlets could also be a factor, as well as closeness to the kitchen facilities/food storage areas
  20. Definitely not for the ride. It would be surrounding theming. The girl serving in the retail store last week was waxing lyrical about how amazing the whole area is going to be. Could just be blowing smoke up customers asses but she didn't seem genuinely excited
  21. Guessing he meant long weekend rather than 'public holiday'
  22. No argument or skin off my nose. You know what you heard, I know what I saw. As I said though, both times is wasn't the whole troupe and it was more impromptu. Maybe he meant that was the only complete choreographed performance they were doing?
