  1. A few panels on the side of a building are a little more removal-friendly than an entire faux mountain.
  2. You mean that place that has the shutters down 320/365 days each year?
  3. So where do you want it to go though? If TI is being renovated, The Lair is out as that's would be the site access to for the area. You then have the edge of Dreamworks Exp, but there is no room near there at all. Where else would you place it?
  4. Do you read the other comments before you post? TI is being closed for refurb
  5. Maybe it's going to be an underground twin hammer...
  6. Whilst the perspective of the step ladder makes it appear taller, when you compare it to the typical temporary fence panels on the left you get a better idea of how tall those posts are. Those fencing panels are little taller that kinda hip height, with the posts being max double that height. I'd say 8ft tops. when you look at the Aust Zoo photo it's at least double the height of the keeper, so at least 10-12ft. Get what you are saying about if it is for a short demo it probably wouldn't be an issue, but not sure if they'd take that chance with an adult tiger. If the tiger got startled, lets face it the adults are not usually face to face with large groups on the other side of glass, they could easily startle and overpower a handler.
  7. You reckon? I wouldn't be too confident in my safety if the adult tigers were behind a structure only that tall. They stretch on their hind legs at least as tall as that. I LOVE tigers but not enough to want be running from/with one through the park
  8. That's basically an unanswerable question, as we are not sure what exactly the refurbishment entails, nor how complex the works required are. Is the physical island changing, or just the audience side? How long will the tigers need to be comfortable in the their new surrounds before a show could resume? 9 months really isn't that long in the grand scheme of things
  9. What you are trying to say Push, is that unless a coaster includes a highly themed & immersive dark ride component, you don't feel it can be movie themed or "worlds best". Correct? I disagree. Respectfully.
  10. Would adding a coaster in closer proximity to the sound stages not impede productions? I know the sound stages would be sound insulated, but the outdoor tank is frequently in use, having a coaster much closer would surely disrupt filming?
  11. My only guess would be that one of the regular diesel drivers is also experienced in operating the steam engine, and they got lucky that said driver happened to be working yesterday. They may have then rejigged his roster to have him onboard for x amount of days until the diesel is ready again
  12. Nice work Scoop! 2018 opening.. Seems a drawn out development given the approval went before council last year. If true, I'm hoping that means it truely is a massive development, maybe we are getting a World's best after all. no so keen on the show stage demolition, and somewhat dubious about that info from whoever you spoke to. As Alex stated, I can think of no better idea that utilising that for a permanent DC superheroes vs villains permanent show. It executed well it would be amazing, extremely popular and a great crowd soaker twice a day
  13. I've really enjoyed the 2 years so far, mainly for the great food options and the roving entertainment/parade. It's been such a good production I haven't even considered going on rides on either evening
  14. I don't believe the adult tigers will be on display during the refurb, that's how I read into it anyway.
  15. First year it was held in August from memory, then last year they brought it forward to April. No word yet on this year..
  16. I'm not going to say I know a lot about the ownership, but my understanding was Warner Bros actually had a financial interest in the park initially, so it's likely WB licences were freely used, the park now licences the WB name but there is no longer any ownership attributed to WB, so those properties would now require licensing to be used.
  17. You've completed missed the point or misunderstood what skeet was saying. No, do you?
  18. Also, not forgetting, that Suicide Squad is released in August, which for the uninitiated, is basically the collaboration of many of the DC villains, and carries the tag line "it's good to be bad". It's a great tie in, potentially an awesome maze tie in for fright nights as well
  19. Am liking the last paragraph about exclusive access periods for premier/elite memberships!
  20. Think that was in reference to the 'roller coaster' development for next year.
  21. Thanks for saying what we were all thinking? Let's see... the DC cinematic universe is massive, with many iconic characters on film. This will only further develop in the next 5 years. What do u not understand?
  22. You'll find its one attraction in the new area. And given he's the bad guy in what will likely be the biggest movie of the year, he'll be well known in 4 weeks
  23. Bit hard to judge it as abysmal given we really know nothing about it... and DC is already immensely popular, and with the cinematic universe beginning next month with Batman V Superman it will only get more massive. Target market loves it.
  24. We kinda all this was happening... Didn't we?
