Gold Coast almost got Disneyland.
Whilst I don't think we'll see a Disney park in Australia, if we were too I don't think the existence of competition would stop them from considering the GC.

Fright Nights - 2015
do you seriously think anyone has as accurate a photographic memory to remember a full layout from a maze 4 years ago? A previous post asked what scenes there were in Freddy's and only 1 or 2 people could even remember scenes, let alone the path taken. Both mazes were in the same location, so its safe to say that they were fairly similar in length and duration.

rides for younger kids? dreamworld is miles ahead of the competition when it comes to kids rides! Have you ever been to DW? Dreamworks experience? ABC4Kids World?

Gold Coast almost got Disneyland.
I thought it was a more of a pipedream, as DW was really aging and not getting much TLC

Wonderland Sydney 2.0
Shambles of a website with terrible grammar on every page. Looks like a year 8 computer studies job

Wonderland Sydney 2.0
Still believe it's just one man's pipedream coupled with some political ambition

Wonderland Sydney 2.0
Will believe it when I see it! if it happens, I'll be over the moon, but for now I'm in the 'not getting excited' basket until they have land secured and plans before council.

Sea World and Killer Whales
Hi Steve.o welcome to the forum. we're happy to have people with all opinions here, but probably best not to: 1) drag up a post from 2 years ago, unless something relevant has occurred relating to it. 2) insult a long standing member of the forums 3) make a statements as if they are fact I.E. "They sense the good in us". Umm, no they don't. Whales do not have a barometer of kindness in their brain, nor are they equipped with a dossier on the previous goodwill gestures of its potential meals. Can they tell the difference between a human and a fish? Yes - but so can my 3 month old nephew.

Fright Nights - 2015
Well it makes sense to make some tweaks. They are not gonna to be exact copies. I'm sure it will be like hillbilly 1 and 2, which had very similar themes but some differences. The difference with WC2 and EW is they can't change the names up as they are not generic. You can't call it Wolf Creek 3 or Evil Within 2

I didn't say no one cares about theming. Theming adds to a rides atmosphere and experience. A blank wall, behind a store on main street serves no purpose in adding to the atmosphere on the park. Whether that wall is red, pink, green, matching or clashing with the surrounding area will be of little consequence. Sure you could maybe paint a mural on it or throw some led's to make it a focal point, but right now the focal point of that area is the new churro stand, as it should be. im not trying to change your opinion, but merely pointing out, as T-bone has, that not much more than 12 months ago the park was aging, and offerings lacking and its detail and presentation was generally poor. We now today have vibrant new offerings, that look attractive and have increased the aesthetics of the park 10 fold. Is it perfect? No. But it doesn't need to be.

2015 in Dreamworld - ABC Kids World, V8 Supercars and more
huh? buildings have facades, my house has a facade. Do you know what a facade is? I'm not too sure the majority of park guests are interested in the detail of the architecture when compared to the Availability of good food and service. The vast majority will think, "the new churro shop looks awesome" as opposed to "that wall behind the churro shop now looks dodgy". The churro shop provides a good/service, the wall doesn't. I can see your point, but think DW is better off focusing on this the effect the majority of guests experiences

i personally don't think there is anything wrong with it. The building behind the churro kiosk wraps around onto Main Street, so they couldn't just paint the portion behind the churro kiosk without the building looking half painted. If they painted the whole building, they'd then need to then paint the whole way along Main Street or it would look terrible. Maybe they have plans to rejuvenate/renovate the Main Street facade in the near future.

There's a difference between assumption and using all the information you have available to draw a conclusion.

Fright Nights - 2015
It's not hard to work out really. we always know the 2 hero mazes are in the studios (wyrmwood and Friday the 13th). On the FN website it says Wolf Creek is not wheelchair friendly - which is always the case with the show stage mazes, so therefore wolf creek must be there. that only leaves Evil Within for the other spade - being Dodgems Arena.

Seaworlds New Kids Area Announced
My thoughts were just on my observation in park last week based on the visit 2 weeks prior where not much had changed. They are clearly ramping it up, and a video on youtube by SW has just confirmed Nickelodeon Land opens next weekend

Fright Nights - 2015
well i just picked up Wyrmwood to check out what its all about. Guessing a few people will do the same, so from the film-makers perspective thats a win!
