  1. I'd certainly be disappointed if there was no studio mazes at all, as these are always the most immersive and the larger ones. I think only have 3-4 smaller mazes would be a step back from previous Years so they'd definitely need to ramp up other elements
  2. POTC is filming in a studio, but not 2. So I'm sure at least one of the studios can/will be utilised. In saying that, whose to say they can't use one of the other studios?
  3. Sinister was one of the Best horror movies of the last few years, and the sequel is out soon. That could be a great choice there is also another insidious just out, poltergeist, another Paranormal Activity on the way. i really would love to see the return of the Film Vault or something along those lines, or even a standalone Halllween/Michael Myers themed maze
  4. White Christmas & Carnivale are great family entertainment! Make sure you head to Fright Nights as it will give you an opportunity to judge first hand at which age you think she will handle it.
  5. It's really just overall. the scare factor on a thrill ride is very different to having someone stumble/run/jump out of a smoke filled area covered in blood. i took my 12 year old nephew 2 years ago and it was far too much for him, he refused the offer to go again last year. Some of the performers and mazes (in the case of The Ripper last year) are overly sexual, and I know I felt a little uneasy/awkward having my 14 year old niece with me last year at certain things. only you know your child's 'comfort' level, but I guess my warning would be just because she can handle thrill rides, or even sit through a Friday the 13th/(insert any horror movie) without getting scared, does not mean she'll be comfortable when its realistic and in her face. To be honest Id recommend you attend without her first (given you haven't been to Fright Nights before) to ensure you are comfortable with what she will see/hear/experience
  6. Has always said that
  7. Obviously your choice, but just be aware that the event could be VERY overwhelming for a 10 year old girl. They recommend 13 and over, and the themes are certainly inline with that, if not 15+.
  8. The Gatsby movie (or its original incarnation) is hardly going to hold relevance enough to warrant an entire re-theme of Main Street. And 'gangsta films' is not a WB property, it's merely a genre that could apply to main locales & eras.
  9. I personally feel the show stage is a great maze location and at least means the area is utilised a few times a year. i wouldn't foresee the Dodgems building being used instead of the show stage, potentially in addition to though. or they could just be changing up/refurbing the area
  10. was referring to the use of the word 'unlimited'. and in any case, just because 'disney does it' does not mean it will necessarily work here. Unlimited has many conotations, but generally isn't associated with having to pay more at a later time.
  11. Wouldn't be much of an 'unlimited' pass if it was limited to only daytime visits.
  12. Right the first time Alex your 12 month agreement begins from the date you 'sign up' as do the monthly debits. Whilst not stated, I'm sure you could effectively sign up in October and attend fright nights straight away, as you are contracted to pay for that event for the next 12 months
  13. just got the email and upgraded. $12 p/person p/mth from next July. Good to see a slight increase in overall price ($144 pp vs $99) as hopefully that will be money reinvested
  14. That looks awesome! TBH it's more the type of attraction MW could do with to extend its offerings and move towards a more full day park
  15. No idea on the timeframe, was just walking through the area. Had never seen it tiger-less before. Guess I've just been lucky
  16. Tiger Island is just an Island at present. No tigers or keepers. The door to back of house which is always closed is wide open
  17. Sorry mate completely missed that post somehow
  18. Seems to be a few issues with the new Giggle & Hoot ride, unless, of course, it's meant to shudder the whole way up and down.
  19. Where was the $10 upgrade Alex??
  20. COTD isn't a replacement attraction, the scale of COTD is no where near what was going to be required for Wild. I don't even think COTD is seen as a permanent attraction, it will be similar to Dinosaur Island and be around for 12 months.
  21. How long is a length of string? no one can predict school holiday traffic. Everyday will vary based on weather forecast, other local events, day of the week etc. if you have a annual pass just pop in and leave if it's too busy.
  22. A major australian retailer would not cease selling products due to a backlash towards Halal certification. If that was the case their would be no Cadbury chocolate, Kraft spreads, amongst many things.
  23. Yeah and that too!
  24. My understanding is Wiggles is an incorporated property in ABC Kids World, an no longer its own 'land'
