  1. Believe it will need more than 2 weeks testing. I think a September holiday launch is a little fanciful
  2. Likely then to need a loader on the other side of the boat unless they plan on stopping the boats to load. 1 person Checking 8 lap bars while the boat is in motion seems unlikely
  3. The brakes are on the track, not on the train. I’m not sure if they’ve tweaked the brake run but I wouldn’t necessarily be expecting that will be different
  4. Whilst that 70% goal may be achieved I’d be expecting IF lockdown is lifted, severe restrictions would apply to everything involving crowds for months
  5. And once again Membership holders treated like cattle class. one pass gets free entry memberships only get 50% off, despite having fright nights admission included in their tickets that is not going ahead for the second year..
  6. haha... this one didnt come addressed to my nephew, came addressed to my missus.... maybe they only want her to come to the Fair....
  7. I actually got an email about this, it’s a miracle. DWs hit and miss mail lists strike again
  8. Courtesy of Dreamworld - Remembering the Golden Years.. we have a train being lifted onto the tracks
  9. It’s not in junk filters mate. I’m a little more tech savvy than to be complaining about their marketing lists having not checked my own spam folders
  10. Yeah about 15 times haha
  11. Did you get this on email? I didn’t get it…. No surprise because DWs mail list system is horrendous. I still get emails addressed to my nephew who I purchased a yearly pass for once, 7 years ago, yet get none addressed to me or my partner who Have been passholders for near on 10 years
  12. There won’t be any interstate visitors in Qld again in 2021 (except for maybe NT/WA) so I don’t think they are gonna get the bang for the buck they were counting on with a Xmas launch. Whether they accept that, take the hit, and still open Leviathan, who knows. I doubt Trident is a priority in the current circumstances. I’d say it’s also pushed back the AA replacement plans too
  13. Have to say it was a real empty feeling having to leave movieworld at 3:30 yesterday and the feeling was consistent across many. it was 27 degrees and perfect weather, the park was really busy. And they shut up shop early. I’m supportive of reduced hours on weekdays, but it’s stupidity closing early on a Saturday. and whilst I didn’t specifically look everywhere for it, I saw no visible entry signage stating the park would be closing earlier
  14. Garden and fountain. personally I’ve always thought there was a real lack of those at DW
  15. Howd you come up with that unique idea?
  16. The changes continue at Disney with the announcement this morning that free fast-passes are no more (quiet sad really) and the Disney forums are blowing up about it. fast pass, max pass etc are all gone and replaced with a per day Lightning Lane pass which covers the majority of the previous fast pass rides at $20pp per day for DL and $15 for WDW. Radiator springs won’t be included and will be an additional single entry fast access flexible price based upon demand etc as will the seven dwarfs ride.
  17. From my recollection it went the opposite way. Wonderland began as a weekend only attraction before expanding to 7 day operation which it carried through until closure.
  18. Just because you think “they should be able to do it” doesn’t just mean they can because you said so. That’s not reality. My argument isn’t moot, it’s providing reasons why a cost benefit decision has determined the steam engine isn’t viable.
  19. I don’t think @red dragin said he supported not running the Perry, was just explaining the reality of the situation. As for other theme parks and how they handle steam engines, well I can’t answer that as I don’t have a like for like comparison park…. if you can find another theme park with an operational steam train - that’s located on an island nation, a minimum 6-8 hour flight away for international tourists, has been devoid of said international tourists (and domestic ones) for a large part of 2 years, coupled with having only just begun to recover from killing 4 people through malpractices leading to low consumer confidence and resulting attendance, and then throw in owners who are notoriously tight-assed - then we can probably do a case study on how they can make it work when DW can’t/won’t…
  20. Sure. Dreamworld are yet to take any notice of indoor capacity limits to this point, maybe they are planning on starting to?
  21. They already have a farmyard section, it’s in the shearing shed so it’s just been closed
  22. Whilst true for now, it’s also next to the prime future development land for the park.
