  1. Seating in the Dora Amphitheatre is exactly as it used to be. Have they just replaced the seating? I didn't realise there was anything wrong it.. i do hope however they've taken the downtime opportunity to change up the show. whilst on that topic, a new Madagascar Show at DW would be nice too...
  2. Didn't post the links or details as there is no documents available. @AlexB pretty certain the checkpoint building will be the new gatehouse with the existing having to move due to Top Golf. and now I think about it, covered seating area (could also be the grandstand I guess) would be at PC. I was there on Monday and they have a new small stand in front of where they do the sheepdog show
  3. Not sure if it has been brought up by one of our resident DA/PDonline investigators, but MW has had a few building approvals come through early this year: - covered grandstand - covered seating area refurbishment - south carpark entry checkpoint building
  4. Feel that's a rubbish comment to post without any background or substance to it.
  5. So the ride attendant, nor any other passengers said "hey dude, you have oil/black liquid running down your face"?? Given you shared an elevator in close proximity to 10 other people surely someone would have noticed. You sure it wasn't there already hence why no one said anything?
  6. Maybe an ibis with diarrhoea and good aim...
  7. I always sit in the Billabong Restaurant imagining my party pies are Wagyu grain-fed morsels of deliciousness whilst staring out the window at the Jungle Cruise waiting to depart. Then the kid behind me hits me in the back of the head with a nugget and I realise I have the chewy remains of some minced unspecified farm animal stuck between my teeth and even the ducks don't want to cruise down the river. #pureimagination
  8. There no visible movement on either of those 2 yesterday whilst I was there.
  9. All cool @AlexB i largely agree with what you are saying, and was fairly strong on my approval of the use of the song with the opening line having no linkage. I guess my issue here (issue is probably a strong word, hesitation would be a better one if I was approving these images as a marketing manager) is that croc/boat imagine isn't one that is depicting something that occurs in park, so is if needed? Is there not another image we could create that could portray or represent the same message that would have any possible negative connotations or linkages? Maybe not. I'm probably being over-critical, but I'd just be erring on the side of safe if I was in DW's position
  10. Think they look great, love the overall style and message. Not sure on this one though. Have to say on first glance I thought I was looking at the log ride with a crocodile. Obviously it's not, but I probably wouldn't be projecting any message that invokes feelings or portrays danger in the water. The billboard/poster would have worked just as well had it been tiger related, maybe a picture from the tiger feeding or photos
  11. No movement on the carpark/containers today. Few guys working in the channel on the electricals
  12. Yep... family & I hit the states whilst the 2000 Olympic stadium were on. Flights were crazy cheap
  13. Licenses Are back at JDS, but are now $15. $40 if you want a 6x8 photo with it. Key rings etc also available. No one taking up the offer... Main st store facade getting a full update
  14. The theming was fairly encompassing around the ride track. I don't think a lot of it would be able to be installed after hours whilst the ride operated during the day. Apart from being a pain in the ass for the maintenance crew to have to remove all equipment etc every day to safely operate the ride, I also doubt many of them signed up to pull all nighters for weeks on end
  15. I figured they'd already opened given there initial opening date was Aust Day. Must have been some hiccups. I'm keen to see it succeed, but there has been very little local media or advertising apart from the initial story in early Jan
  16. You gotta be kidding, right @pushbutton? maybe they can play that in the parents room to help the babies fall asleep...
  17. Nearly every song ever used as a jingle or as part of a brand's advertising was not written with the intention of being anything to do with the brand it became aligned with. Imagination, fun, dreaming, excitement, escapism - are themes of the song that are quintessentially theme park related themes
  18. The opening line is completely fine. It's not like they are running with a slogan of "hold your breath", it's a line from the song, and a very commonly used phrase linking to excitement and surprise.
  19. I was hoping for a bunch of people licking Snozberry flavoured wallpaper....
  20. Agree with u, was just pointing out what I think Max was getting at..
  21. I think he's saying if the containers haven't arrived on the dock today, they won't come until the next docking next week, which means it will only leave 2 weeks of that area being closed with track parts on site. of course that is relying on the downtime having a) anything To do with the new coaster at all and b ) if it is coaster related, it having something to do with the tracks. Neither of which are confirmed in anyway though...
  22. The Bulletin told everyone it was a hyper months ago... as did the tender documents as far back as 6 months ago the staff did not just find out..
  23. Yep... pretty much. It'd be like doing a historical tour of Wonderland... "and where this loading dock sits used to be the queue house for the Bush Beast, and over on your left you could almost imagine the Space Probe towering above that factory..."
