  1. Haha... True that, serves me right for reading and replying whilst in traffic haha.. "Shows promise but would perform better if he concentrated more" was something I heard many times during my school years..
  2. Struggling to understand how a spear extending from a point almost 1m above the where riders heads are positioned would be considered a 'clearance checker'. Clearance for what? Inspector Gadgets Go-Go-Gadget Arms?
  3. That's good, I don't like being restrained before 10am anyway...
  4. You are banished... To the black hole.. ahh.. 90s board games. They just don't make em like they used to..
  5. I'm not sure turning a swamp into a lake is any easier than turning dry ground into a lake. My thoughts are that any precinct would likely be based around a man-made lake, both for aesthetics and viability as a recreational space
  6. Agree with that TPG. they are not going to throw their $35m investment up behind the studios near PC. It will need easy access, and will have street frontage to the motorway
  7. Admittedly I don't have the international park visit history of a lot on here, but would SDSC really be considered 'world class'??
  8. Well I guess that's open to opinion. We've had level of confirmation from the local area rep that $100,000,000's are being spent over the next few, which doesn't tell us much specifically as it includes the lakeside precinct etc. Im expecting the most significant ride investment in the last decade, but that's just my opinion...
  9. I don't think any compact coaster would be associated with "worlds best" we're safe there...
  10. I'd usually have a witty joke to follow that post but I'm stumped...
  11. And they appear to be queue poles
  12. Certainly not a deal breaker, I just feel if you are going to have 2 launching coasters in the park, it would be a plus for one of them to feature inversions. The inclusion of a second launch would probably be a bigger gain though imo..
  13. Whilst I like the length, and love the second launch, the lack of inversions makes that a poor addition to MW for mine. It basically SE on steroids. Whilst I certainly don't believe a coaster needs inversions to be great, I think for this new ride to be World Class and the drawcard they want it to be, it needs them.
  14. I'm fine with the immersion beginning and ending at the station. I think complaining about that is being pedantic to the extreme...
  15. Takes long enough between cycles now without having everyone walk to the end of the platform to dump their pockets before going back to their seats... And then waiting for them to collect all their crap and clear the platform to release the train
  16. Definite slant, likely for drainage, but i think it's exaggerated by the uneven level of the ground before the slab ). It's clearly a dive tunnel for the new 'intense' monorail setting
  17. Yep, that's what I was trying to point out with my post
  18. All good, thanks for clearing that up... ?
  19. Ehh.. I'll just get a pass out and go across the road from MW. Screw going to Japan for KFC..
  20. Always arms up for SE launch (and the whole ride), and arms straight out for Arkham. Arms up on Buzzsaw is pretty intense when you translation from vertical to upside down, same goes for the roll on GL, but it's too good to hold on and miss that feeling hands up on jet rescue, yeah, it's a little uneasy, in a "I'm gonna fly out and die" kinda way
  21. Push has returned! Like a P̶h̶o̶e̶n̶i̶x̶ Monorail from the a̶s̶h̶e̶s̶ tunnel
  22. Doesn't come across as the style of ride suitable for on-ride photos.
  23. Big teases huh.. assuming their must be a long way to go theming wise and logistically the ride had to be in place before it could be done for site access reasons
  24. Good post Clayton, contributing something to the forums that our regulars have not/are not covering.
