  1. I wouldn't take the dude from England on TPR forums word for it, would you? he also mentions the improvements are in response to the impending arrival of the Wanda theme park. Personally, I think we are a LONG LONG way from the Wanda park being considered impending, which I wouldn't categorise it as until approval is granted and land locked in. At this stage that park is still a pipe dream, albeit a very rich mans pipe dream (as opposed to the Wonderland revamp pipedream).
  2. The one at the central coast looks tame compared to the other one. Those dips and rises look completely uncomfortable and a back injury waiting to happen.
  3. Last time I checked you are www worker, not www or ardent manager, you speak with a lot of confidence for someone who likely has no clue. When I worked for Ardent in a different side to the theme parks I knew what was coming up 12+ months in advance at DW. I can assure you VRTP is very aware of what is planned and vice versa, that's part of every competitive business environment - knowing your opposition and being a step ahead of them.
  4. Not as yet, my weekday visits usually consist of 'daddy day outs' with my 3 year old, so bumper cars is about as thrilling as it gets. i did walk through the Brock museum which seems an extremely well presented addition to the park.i have no real interest in motor sport aside from watching the crash reel after Bathurst and The GC race as its my local, so i didn't stop and read all the info etc, but I can see how to an enthusiast it would be an awesome addition
  5. At the park today. School holidays finally over which means I'll return to regular visits. Also means the bus loads of tourists increases, as noted by 15 min wait in line for food at Billabong. river as clean as a river gets back to the diesel train was told on entry the park is back to 'off peak' mode so vintage cars only open 12-3.
  6. certainly wouldn't be a ride. A new staff entry potentially.
  7. They never had waiters. They were the cafe staff or management delivering the food in a 'launch' outfit. What specialised training in addition to the regular training McDonalds provides do you want these 'waiters' to receive? Are they not just dropping off your food? CYT is still prioritised in every store I've eaten at. The buzzers are still used. Menus on table were a stupid idea anyways when you order at the touchscreen.
  8. No one knows... The plans are not public yet
  9. Agree Gazza, Longboards at the Nightquarter at Helensvale is awesome, in fact the Nightquarter in its entirety is brilliant
  10. The type that consists of families and groups of teenagers looking to enjoy the final 48 hours before school goes back..
  11. Indiana Jones ride? Indy is very much a quintessential American icon. Surely they have cut him out too...
  12. Unless you're 10 years old and eating at a pub, fries don't Come with ketchup on the side as standard..
  13. Don't you think Will Smith would have been a great Dirty Harry? #HarrySoWhite
  14. Are they on the loose now? Gees that's gonna cause a lot of issues for the general public. Maybe they'll have to borrow Batman from MW with his 'Tiger-Repellant Bat Spray'!
  15. How do you lose a 300kg cat?
  16. I find it hard to watch my TV. it may be 65 inches of beautiful high definition, but every time I'm watching the football or my favourite tv show I can't help but shed a tear thinking that my LG tv is a byproduct of the building that sits on the former Wonderland site that are the scenes of so many childhood memories...
  17. Agree with most you've said Levithan except the whole license thing which whilst novelty value the first time became a gimmick that every bypassed. It didn't really absorb or utilise queueing time, as you actually had heaps of people jumping in front of you by not bothering with the licence printing
  18. He was dreamworlds first born cub, not their first tiger (who was Mohan as you stated iWerks)
  19. Skyway has been discussed quite a bit. It was hit and miss anyway with maintenance issues, was just past repair. Nick Land is a giant improvement on their kids area, and rivals DW now for the best kids offering on the coast
  20. I loved the pre-show elements for BTR, being a bit of a batman tragic, the whole library/batcave had that immersivness to it that isn't seen often in Australia. the ride itself lost its appeal when they changed to 2. I think JL is a solid replacement. The ride itself is a better attraction than BTR2 was, just missing the immersive pre-show. I wish LTRR was still around simply so my son could experience it and what a 'complete' experience it was with many elements not found now on the coast (faux elevator/goofy hazards like falling trees/rocks) and obviously a themed looney tunes attraction. I think Jnr Driving School is really well executed and a good attraction too, but I don't view it as a LTRR replacement as they are such different attractions
  21. The water play area you are talking about is Sea World Resort, not Sea World, hence the need to pay to access it. It adjoins to SeaWorld but isn't part of it. The pirate play I'm assuming you are talking about is the high ropes area in Bucaneer Bay
  22. BUT if there was a walk-through attraction leading up to the 'dark rollercoaster' then push would be in severe need for a bathroom by the conclusion...
  23. Maybe if we get some petitions and start picketing at the gate they'll put the rollercoaster in the dark to keep Push happy..
  24. Well on the dying path then..
