  1. Teens maybe not, but the family market cannot just be ignored. My son is 7 and is starting to move into coasters and loves SDSC, RR, MDMC, but he’s just as happy going on a ride on the DW Express. Im not in the paddle boat industry, but can imagine sourcing one would be ridiculous expensive, and i seriously doubt there is any chance one would return, however if it wasn’t so financially challenging, I think a river transverse with a show would be a massive crowd puller. Kids would love it as it’s unique, families would love something they could do together, parents and adults would love the chance to relax for 15-20mins, and even the Z’s would probably appreciate the insta and tiktok opportunities it would bring, again given its uniqueness
  2. The island would make for a fantastic coaster site imo....
  3. Think it’s a solid option, and probably the most likely if DW was to go down the water ride route, which I certainly believe they need to.
  4. Kids really need to get back to school...
  5. I really don’t think AA will open again, ever. She’s had her last circuit. She’s moved into CorkSeaScrewViper territory where upkeep and maintenance now exceeds any ROI, especially with the massive revenue hit parks are facing this year
  6. Welcome @Bikash Randhawa as many have stated I hope we do get some at least periodic interaction with you on this site. having a direct touchpoint with the parks is much appreciated and shows an eagerness to understand and hear your parks biggest and most vocal fans opinions - be those positive or negative. The one thing I can say is the majority here are generally not negative for the sake of it, and any criticism is borne from a genuine love of our parks and wanting to see them be the best they can be.
  7. Naa they should totally build an entire themed land to supplement an entirely out of place gift shop. or... they could move the fairy shop to ocean parade, where all random themes go to die...
  8. The preps and year ones are supposed to be back at school. Some parents clearly missed the memo...
  9. I must have slipped into a coma and missed it all as I didn’t see pages of crap. I saw a couple of unsavoury comments and accusations that sure, overstepped a boundary and deserved to be deleted, but from my memory there was a solid amount of good, informative content prior to that, and even with it....
  10. Why is it getting terminated? A terminated contract means it’s been ceased rather than having expired or finalised. If it is still working for both parties, of which there is no indication of the contrary, it will just be renewed.
  11. Let’s be honest, it’s an awful theme for a theme park.
  12. If they have $10-$15m to drop - go for it and Re-theme the arena and make it a great Mad Max show. I wouldn’t genuinely love that! my thought however is their budget will likely be missing a couple of zeroes off the end of that...
  13. I’d could give you my opinion, but I am not in quarantine so this question doesn’t apply to me.
  14. I’ll bet you a box full of invisible $100 notes that the Parks won’t be open anytime during stage 2 or 3 unless the government completely reworks its recovery roadmap and we don’t have a winter increase in cases
  15. I reckon Water World costs more in consumables, staffing, costuming per day than VTPs annual show budget. thats the issue.
  16. Doesn’t sound like the worst idea tbh... hotel could sit where Black Hole and that old unused tower is (name escapes me), allowing the wave pool, wet n wild junior and a few other majors to remain
  17. Mad Max is more about trucking rigs, explosions, chase sequences. It’s open world, not city based, so the entire facade would have to go. A DC show would be more hand to hand and physical stunt work. Finance wise it would probably take a lot less to get up and running as the physical set can be reworked but basically remain the same, they already have the costumes, they have a Batmobile. Id love to see Max but to execute it would be beyond what VTP would spend. DC would also have a more broader appeal across demographics
  18. Some grass and stuff? i am assuming you mean the overflow carpark which is loosely planned for a hotel at some point in the future. you cannot put a ride there.
  19. That is true, depends if there was a down payment made/how much to the whoever won the tender prior to covid closures
  20. Absolutely. and those exact reason are why it won’t be executed properly by MW.
  21. Very true and something I completely overlooked
  22. I’ve never seen sections of track arrive on site 18 months in advance for any previous installations at our parks. the delay in park opening won’t have a major bearing on the construction timeline, as construction can and will go ahead even with the park closed.
