  1. Now available at Dreamworld... optional safety features!! ABC Ferris Wheel... “seat belts are optional Guys, use them if you wish” hmm.. then why are they even there?? hopefully soon we can choose between a log with a roof or one without one..
  2. The most recent Round of email mailouts says Get your Locals One Pass and be one of the first to ride the Vortex coming to Sea World this Summer! whereas the previous ones have all said December
  3. Good to hear, I’m looking forward to tonight’s event
  4. Wouldn’t say November is very wet on the GC. Average rainfall/rain days data show it to be the 7th wettest month of the year. Despite that though, most rainfall and rain days in November are afternoon & evening storms so will have little effect on construction timelines. The issue will be if there is a construction company physically on hand to build the thing
  5. I have heard unconfirmed reports that there has been a change in builder, or actually that a new one is being sought still, which may explain the lack of any real progress in recent times.
  6. SW have decided they’ll sell more heli tours if they actually plonk a helicopter in the park behind a barrier and have a “pilot” stand next to it and convince people to buy tours (I didn’t ask to see his licence so he may just be a staff member in uniform)
  7. Not too much change. Only 3 people on site doing some hole drilling
  8. They were doing some work with the top of the Black Hole tower today at WnW. Had a cherrypicker working on it. photo not great, just snapped it as I was driving out of PC.
  9. Yeah kinda don’t get the hate around the pumpkins. You can’t expect them to hand carve thousands of them. They are carved and themed in select areas..
  10. No, they shouldn’t, as it’s a family event. Focus on one thing and get it right - and it appears largely they have. Teens go to Fright Nights. Simple.
  11. Walking around the park today and I think what they have done theme wise is fantastic, must be literally thousands of pumpkins everywhere, hail bails, decals, ribbons, drapes on posts. Whilst I haven’t attended the event yet myself, they have to be applauded for what they have done imo.. Also appears to have third party food operators in for the event as the marquees are still up
  12. The wipeout wave is completely gone now. We’ll have our shaded seating area in no time...
  13. That’s the point. It’s an alternate event to Fright Nights. For me it’s targeting the same market that buy White Christmas tickets each year.
  14. Train was working fine with 4 carriages 10 days ago when I was there
  15. Well nothing is ever as good as it could be. Anyone can always pick an improvement even from something near perfect. i have been yet, but just the use of animatronics alone sounds like a good step up from what we’ve seen of late.
  16. Good review @themagician I’m booked in for next Saturday night and am hoping for a better experience than the last 2-3 years which for me have been flat. Thanks for the advice on maze order to minimise waits. I have a mate flying in from Sydney who hasn’t been to the park in 5 years so we definitely want time for rides too so every minute will count. Considering the $30 ride fast pass
  17. Well in about 5-10mins every outdoor ride in the park will be closed due to the proximity of the storm activity
  18. Something similar is at WWW too. and WnW has this: You are welcome to wear whatever swimwear you're comfortable in providing it is suitable for a family environment. however I’ve seen plenty of girls in g-string bikinis at WnW
  19. Don’t you hate it when you argue with yourself?
  20. At DW today and first visit post-queue changes for SV. Basically turn left for ride-express, right for everyone else and then winding queue around the big screen. Trolls Village is now surrounded by a fancy fence - at least it’s not a metal one with wrapping. The Monster is a cool concept and great to have indoors on a hot day. For any let’s say “fitness limited” adults such as myself - it’s a challenge! Haha, 2 trips was enough whilst my son got through 4 in the 30min allotted time. No changes at all behind the blue wall around the WipeOut site, and nothing of note on the proposed site for the coaster. TOT2 operating normally which is the first I’ve seen of it in a long time. Buzzsaw, Gingys Gliders the only rides not operating from what I saw. SV about a 30mins wait. Oh, and the new Photo Passes that come free with the annual passes are just laminated paper, no longer plastic cards like the annual passes..
  21. This Friday’s event (4/10) is now SOLD OUT
  22. My bad, due to the same colour scheme I didn’t even realise they’d changed the other side!
  23. If anyone wants to ruin the surprise, you’ll find some of the IT maze here:
  24. and having been in the arcade today, he must have climbed up and stood on a amusement machine to get those photos - which is shit too. Never bought one but I would imagine so otherwise what would be the point?
