  1. If he switched the brandy for stemetil there would be a hell of lot less spew around...
  2. F**k me that was hard to read. Every English teacher you have ever had just dropped dead.
  3. Was pulling 4 carriages just fine last weekend
  4. Are you talking about the resort pool? Probably falls under a different set of compliance and rules to a theme park
  5. They didn’t aim to deliver something far removed from their initial plans, artwork and the TVC produced. My understanding is some very considerable and unforeseen roadblocks were put in front of them.
  6. Couldn’t agree more. Having the varying reactions is great, and 99% of the time they are used to judge the post they are attributed towards. I don’t get the point of just automatically using the reactions buttons based purely on the poster rather than the content.
  7. Hey @pushbutton I’d private message you but you’ve got messages disabled. whats ya problem? Moved on from putting vomit emojis on Alex, now you’ve decided to do it to my posts, weeks old ones at that. grow up!
  8. It’s due to open tomorrow, as it’s scheduled maintenance has reflected for weeks.
  9. @pushbutton you should really see someone about your nausea issues...
  10. The response you get when you don’t get a response....
  11. SE’s queue isn’t amazing but it’s a least a fluid concept to the theme. You are waiting to board a train at a train station when an earthquake occurs. Pretty simple.
  12. The pre-show is poor, but it’s not a backwards step. It’s just over thought out and over the top. The idea in premise isn’t bad, so I don’t see how you can call that a backwards step.
  13. I like it, and it fits in well with the existing colloquial names for their slides and beach culture etc. Honestly if you don’t “get it” or the reference, you’re either dense or living under a rock. And if you’re going to be picky - how is “the bro” beached themed? “Fully sick” is Aussie vernacular at its finest.
  14. Whether you watch the pre-show or not, your wait time remains the same if they are dispatching/loading properly. The length of the pre-show correlates to the ride time. If you skip the pre-show you are either waiting longer outside, or after the safety video.
  15. So 2 coasters down at once to be ready for the school holidays. i don’t get it? What’s the big deal?
  16. Not privy to any details, but it’s certainly an Ad I can see playing in full at cinemas domestically in the lead up to the sept and Xmas holidays, and I’m sure an edited shorter 10-15 second version will hit tv screens
  17. VRTP’s new advertisement taking in all the parks, I think it’s really well done
  18. Surely would have been mentioned in their results announcement if it was happening this financial year.
  19. Noted on my last 2 visits the extreme drop in speed required these days as the train moves from just past the train shed and old BB amphitheatre area through to going under the walkway, it slows to literally like snails pace for about 100-150m.
  20. And I certainly agree with that. If you want people to sit down at watch a video, the room should be set up as so, as it used to be with Batman Adventure at MW. Im certainly not sitting down on the floor, though I was surprised at how many did. Its the sort of video that should be shown in the queue line, so you have an option to watch or not while you are waiting.
  21. Cool... I’m wrong. Have no problem with being wrong either. Guess I have/had lower expectations. All my rides all screens have worked, the only time people used phones in the pre-show room was when we were held up there for 10mins on opening day, but none used them during the actual video. Both times we were encouraged to sit or be comfortable whilst watching the video. Both rides the dots on the floor were explained by the attendant, as were the loose items storage, prior to letting us into the ride area. There is clearly some gaps in training between staff. Hopefully most people enjoy it for what it is.
  22. Dreamworld would have plenty of attraction as a conference and meeting venue if linked to a hotel. I don’t necessarily think it’s the best utilisation of the land, but I have no doubt there would be a market for it
  23. Whilst anyone would say the pre-ride shows are tedious especially for repeat riders, If you’ve never been on such a ride, how would you know there are flaws in the ride system or production? You wouldn’t. As for these flaws being “significant” I reckon that’s absolute baloney and based purely out of you comparing it to overseas comparisons which 95% won’t be doing.
  24. Why are people getting confused with dates? Q1 FY20 is July-Sept 2019. That’s means they expect to start ground work in the next 5-6 weeks. If you are using Blue Fire’s 9 months as a reference to construction, then that means a June/July 2020 launch. Winter launches are somewhat weird though as it’s not peak. I would say Sept 2020 is a more likely timeframe
