  1. Any ideas what it could be based on the site?
  2. Thanks for sharing! Looks like some good content. I've never seen anything from Young Einstein's so I'm particularly interested in checking that out. Now we just need a pov of Lassiter's Lost Mine. Footage from that ride is pretty hard to come by. Edit: Wow the old Wild Wild West preshow is on there!
  3. I've done WWF literally hunderds of times and I've always had trouble understanding them too! The most I can make out is: "Badges? We don't need to stinking badges!" "You don't belong here" I'm going to guess it was custom made for the park, with inspiration from the Treasure of the Sierra Madre scene as I previously mentioned.
  4. It's directly from this scene in the film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre": Why is it there? The two cowboys right before the backwards drop also use (paraphrased) dialogue from the same scene - "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" I guess they thought adding something from the original would give it a bit of continuity?
  5. Thanks for the update! Interesting about Surfrider. I can't think where it could go at Movie World. Maybe replace Doomsday? and yeah, re-theming it would be pretty easy. I could even see them repainting it.
  6. Floor markings are in! Looks like something will indeed be happening
  7. Colour wise it was for Spooky Nights (Vortex was also green instead of the usual blue). I think the lighting system itself is permanent though - looked great.
  8. Good catch! It's usually dead quiet there so I guess it makes sense to use the space. I did like using it as a rest zone during the busier days though. Once my party brought food from Dirty Harry's all the way over there when everywhere else was packed, haha. Let's hope they evade Marvin's wrath.
  9. Have a great time! Will be interesting to see how it is on Halloween vs a "regular" day. I went to DLP a lot as a kid so it's always been special to me. Their BTM is still one of my favourite rides ever. Haven't done Ratatouille either, but Tower of Terror was a great experience. They recently upgraded the trains on Space Mountain so it should be significantly smoother than it was as Mission 2.
  10. Here's a few pics from Saturday evening prior to Spooky Nights Has a silvery "scaley" look between arches Rockwork! Entrance sign soon? Grass/Tarmac has been added by Trident Looks like they're going with the Green look as shown on the preview model (pic credit Parkz) Leviathan with the lighting package looks great at night! No testing tonight but Jaggs Journeys uploaded a vid of it testing the other night:
  11. Glad to hear DC is back on two trains.
  12. Update from Wed. Still weird seeing it like this!
  13. Pics from today: No signs of testing but the theming and landscaping is coming together nicely.
  14. It's a nice little park isn't it? I went for the first time a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised. It does need a modern coaster of some kind though. A family Vekoma (similar to Gumbuya's) would be a great fit.
  15. I don't think we'll see Arkham removed from the Driving School anytime soon. Why remove a chunk of theming when the average person won't even click that it's meant to be a ride reference? They'll be happy enough just to see Batman and Joker. Maybe closer to Oz's opening? You could probably say the same for the Joker statue near Superman. Makes no sense being there, but still provides a solid photo op.
  16. Here's a pic of the second statue. Looks to be the same colour as the other one to me. You might be on to something though. I could see Leviathan having two statues, with it being the main attraction and all! I think late November to early December would be a safer bet. They still have a lot to do. Not to mention Leviathan hasn't started daytime testing yet.
  17. Kingda looks great, but I had always heard better things about Dragster (especially due to the restraints).
  18. Station's gone Filling in the trough with dirt The old entrance area
  19. Some pics from today! Zoom in and you can see some rockwork in the queue Two new statues! (one pictured). Much much larger than the current one near Vortex. Crates of 'Split Bluestone Tiles" Edit: Not sure if this is new or not but Levy and Trident now appear on the map in the app! Looks like they still may be planning some kind of theming on the bottom right
  20. That's a shame. It was high up on my bucket list. Hopefully Top Thrill Dragster: Next Generation hits the right spot!
  21. This will make a fine addition to ny collection!
  22. "It's the southern hempishre's first nude only multi type coaster in our world class nudist precint!"
  23. Who needs an RMC when the world's first Wizard of Oz multi-type coaster is up the road?
