It really feels like everyone just disagrees with me for the sake of it. We all agree that MW needs a new high capacity, world class family friendly ride - no matter what, this is going to cost millions. My choice would be a trackless dark ride - first in the southern hemisphere (I think) and all that jazz. Copying an existing ride will be cheaper which ever way you look at it - but you guys are insisting that that’s a stupid idea? Not sure what’s going on with that. Heck I’d be happy even if they put Riddlers Revenge (Zamperla Disc’o) in a shed which will provide a different ride experience for the park, high capacity (with adjustable cycle times) and also wet weather safe! You could do Halloween overlays too. -

There are 3 clones of Batman within 3 hours of each other in Texas across 2 different park operators. Why would they let them copy WBAD rides? It’s more profit for them. The venn diagram of people who visit both parks is just two circles, barely touching. Most of the actual movie/character rights already align so it just makes sense. -

It’s so much cheaper than a original creation. All the content is made. The engineering is complete. The ride system is programmed. The risk assessment / regulatory work has already been half done. The cost savings of everything would be huge. DW have already seen the savings with ST. Plus most of the rides they could choose to copy would be a new flagship ride to movie worlds standards. -

I’d like to reiterate - if Gold Coast Movie World would simply copy and paste any of the attractions that are at Abu Dhabi Movie World - things would be a lot better. -

Thoosies will fly to Australia just to go on rivals - and maybe back in the day europeans/asians would for ToT. This can’t be said for ST. -

Do you guys think the problem with ST is the public see it as too similar or inferior to rivals? The only thing Movie World doesn’t offer in comparison (now) is inversions. The launch gets covered by Superman. -

A decent show that could seat around 2000 (DLP's Moteurs... Action!: Stunt Show Spectacular show seated 5000) and is actually entertaining - would help out alot. Run it every 2-3 hours during the peak season, twice a day during the quieter days and always run it at closing time to keep guests in the park and for some extra merch+food sales on exit. There's no point in running a decent show if it runs at 100% capacity during busy days.. goes against the whole point of having the show in the first place. And make it at least 30 mins - with a preshow. -
I don't think I was putting foward a legimate proposal at any stage to install flames into the existing ride. We all know they struggle to keep rides running - let alone retrofitting rides with new effects right now (look how well that worked on scoobie) I was just having a discussion.. on a discussion board. Again - I said the most fesable option was a smoke machine with a LED at the nozzle.. like one of the BTM's.
-
Headlights on rivals seems easy to do but I can't see them lighting the entire track like Hangtime because it hardly operates at night.

Wow man I really didn’t think this hypothetical discussion was gonna go to google earth measurement levels. Do the roof fire then. Simples.
-
I said this but everyone keeps looping back to flames Yes - like the same as the previous video I posted It doesn’t matter if it’s 3 meters laterally You could theoretically fire flames over people - but you’d be dropping unburnt isopar onto them.
-
You don’t need 3 meters up if the thing above it is a treated surface to handle the heat. Source - IMG_9516.MOV

Well I said a fog machine + LED would be the best option but yeah you could probably make that work if you really wanted to by shooting the flames up the lift at the same angle. Or something like this ( Journey to the Center of the Earth Spoiler Alert) (spoiler: they don't) The other option that would work is the roof flames like this 2DEE615F-F78D-46A5-BA2A-8672C48D069D.MP4
-
You can. Legally you could fire them 1 meter vertical and 3 meters laterally from people. Like at the NRL.
-
Same with isopar flames. Once you cut power - it's completely safe.
-
Spakultors suck - and they can definately start fires. Isopar based flames would have the best effect - fog + lights would definately be the safest.

Pipeline - The Surf Coaster (Seaworld Orlando)

I think I got a dud ride on Gwazi, or if it was a mix of a really slow moving line, several breakdowns plus operations that make the Gold Coast operations look good. But it felt like half of SteVie (which technically it kind of is) -

Icebreaker would have to be my most 2nd most disappointing new coaster of this year. At least they put a hump in the launch track though. Mako is incredible and has amazing ops too. Attendants that just pull up on the clamshell 👌🏼 -

Airtime while your standing up. Say no more. -
If this isn't the best idea for Seaworld's next coaster - I have no idea what is.
