Well the staff started parking on the old Thunderbolt site yesterday. Security is letting them in through a side gate.

Any ideas of what is going to be the attraction at Gum Tree Gully near the Non working Shooting Gallery and the Tomb Raider building. The girl in the shop there said that the Shooting Gallery would not be fixed and that it was getting removed after the holidays as was the Tomb Raider theming and that a new attraction was going in but as I expected she said that was all she knew. She said the CEO changed the subject when asked about what it was at a staff meeting.

As a resident from across the road from DW there has been lots of noise about the town centre and the university and a couple of public meetings. The town centre will be immediately beside the highway on the left of Foxwell road and part of the new shopping centre carpark will be on DW land. The University is to go in next to the Railway Station on the opposite side of the road to DW between the shopping Centre and the train station. I ran into the same ride attendant I spoke to in the park about the TB area when he was in the servo today and he said that he wasn't joking and that they were supposedly wanting to move all the admin buildings down onto that area so they could spice up the area around the cyclone but he said that there was some hassle over another access gate off the road by the school with the Gold Coast City Council as they are claiming some of DWs land for a new improved road down to the Marine precinct. I remember reading that in the local paper too.

Was at the park yesterday and one of the ride attendants said that they are putting a staff carpark in where the TB used to be so that it creates more usable parking for the guests out the front. New rides to go in between park and Foxwell Rd (where you come off the highway from north) as they cant go further back behind Koala country due to a second entrance off the carpark for the new Westfield shopping centre to be built back there.
