I have had the same thing happen to me, Steve. I had finished my TR for this year's QLD trip and accidently hit the back button. All was lost after 90 mins of writing, not happy.

What Would You Have Done With WLS Had It Not Closed Down?
Flea replied to scott's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I know that Cedar Point have the same crew for one ride for the whole season. Apparently they just rotate positions (loader/unloader to op to queue etc) every 30 minutes. -
Paris Hilton: The Ride?

Read his signature - Slick's awesome new next generation web site is coming on Nov. 15th.

There are just a couple of rides that remind me of Sim Coaster/Theme Park - especially the laser tag game. There is a huge "laser shooter man" on top of the building spinning around shooting laser beams, just that kind of stuff that makes it corny. But other than that, RCT3 is a must buy. I paid $52 ($38.95USD) for it.

I just bought the game from www.direct2drive.com for $38.95USD. The download process was great, I got a stable speed of 600kb/s. The game itself is pretty good, everything flows well and looks fantastic. There is a however a Sim Theme Park'ish feel, particularly with certain rides. The braking is terrible, a block WILL completely stop the train (to a dead stop, no gradually slowing down here), even if the next block is not occupied. So far I'm just messing around in the Sandbox mode, I haven't tested all the rides out yet but I will say that the most impressive so far is the Tilt Coaster - the lifting mechanism is awesome. If anyone wants any more info just ask.

And according to Sea World's monorail, it (Corkscrew) goes 100km/h

The Agenda - What Should They Focus on Now?
Flea replied to Obstructure's topic in Theme Park Discussion
This was posted by Thunder001 over at the AAF forums... $250m!? Anyone else think that's an insane amount of money to be spending over such a short amount of time (3-7 years presumably - Dreamworld wouldn't know what they plan to add/improve in 7-10 years time, would they?) -
Aye, a wooden coaster would be good Captain Pattie. Obstructure, if riders just "left their belongings behind", how would they collect them once the ride is over? Would the operator send them down to a "collection room" just outside the ride's exit?

Welcome da_bazaar_, I think this will help you.

I visit Ulladulla often (once every 3 months or so) and go to Funland a lot while I'm there. I remember posting a few photos & videos that I took on the old forums, they might be still up if you search for them. The Sizzler still is the most forceful Cha-Cha, Twister etc. that I've ridden, and The Dodgems still are the fastest I've ridden Everything else in Funland is really outdated, especially all the coin op arcade games - they still have Pacman! I have heard that the owners are trying to sell Funland but are having little luck.

Those photos are just beautiful. The ToT shots are god-like. Well done Ian!!

I'm not too good with No Limits, I'm sure Gazza could help you though

This seems a lot like a re-creation of Grizzly I saw about a month ago (not just because Bush Beast & Grizzly share the same layout, almost). I forget where I got the Grizzly recreation, probably at WeeWeeSlap.com or Coastersims.com. Anyway, the point is, did you use that track as the base and just modify a few segments (trims etc)? It was fairly accurate, however there are some issues... - No kicker wheels in station. I believe the real Bush Beast rolls out of the station using gravity as the station track is on a very slight slant. - No kicker wheels on the first turnaround's trim. Try removing them and whack on the "complete stop" function for that brake segment. - No kicker wheels on brake run. - Too high. The first drop was way too high, I think I saw the train hit above 120km/h. - No "double drop" on the second main drop (after turnaround trim) - there was a slight dip about halfway through the second drop. Anyway, enough b**ching. Nice job, just needs a few improvements

Paul, I'm halfway through editing one big 5 min video of Sea World & Dreamworld. I haven't touched it for a month though, so don't expect anything too soon.

I thought I'd beat Slick in posting the first Counter Strike topic (assuming he does play it... you do work at a net cafe, right?), so here it is. If anyone does play (CS, CZ or Source) please let me know so we can organise a little "r-c.com.au war"

^ Restraints were not checked on Corkscrew on my last trip up to QLD (June) either. This was done by various ride ops on various days. On some occassions riders were told to push the restraint forward as the operator walked past and locked them into place. Cyclone however was a different story. There were 3 ride ops, 2 of which checked restraints while the other sat in the control panel booth. They also managed to get trains out every 5 minutes.

I went on that!? When was this, and uhh... why did I go on it?
-
Daniel was enthusiastic, loved his voice on the microphone ("I'll see you back in 90 seconds... I hope muhahaha" - Daniel on crack.) & loved to press the buttons on the op panel with his right foot. I don't think I ever saw Daniel hit the dispatch button without saying some weird ass spiel first

Very interesting, thanks Wonderbus. Is this why cabin #2 rose to the top of the tower a lot faster than the others in it's last months?
-
I didn't bother to get a refund, my Wonderpass was to expire in May anyway. However I believe Jaggie did get a refund.
-
Thanks for the update Slick. Did you find the second fan turn on Cyclone brutal? I sure did. I'm also not sure on what you mean by The Claw being an "E-Ticket Attraction". Do you mean that The Claw will become a part of the Big 5? Why can't you say much about future attractions? Will your season pass be terminated or are you trying to secure a "trust" with Dreamworld in hope for a future job there? Do they even know who you are here? There's nothing to lose, spill the beans Also, has any more parts for The Claw arrived at Dreamworld yet?

Ugh, you actually told her? Fill us in some more... Anyway Pattie, what was the time and day you saw SRR's water spraying up? Were any other rides cycling at the time?
-
I'm breaking up with you. Welcome PattieBoi. You seem special!
