Jungle Rush Coaster
For some reason it really sticks out to me, you have this immersive land with the Leviathan queue and the statues/gardens and then you have that white shed. Surely they could've painted it green or dark blue so it sticks out less? As I said, at least Dreamworld are making the building green that mixes in with the trees around the show building, they could've done a Village where the white shed sticks out like a sore thumb.

What is next for our parks?
I've been thinking about this one specifically for a bit and it would be a good fit. It doesn't take up much room so land shouldn't really be an issue, and it would provide an experience that the whole family can enjoy. For themes I was thinking Beetlejuice, its a classic that is still enjoyed 36 years on. Possibly do a madhouse based on the dinner party scene?

What is next for our parks?
Good idea, I think this would be good for the park as they haven't added a large-scale thrill coaster since 2017. If B&M is too expensive, what about Gerstlauer dive coaster like Hangtime at Knotts? It can fit into a small space and has a less expensive manufacturer, and also seems to have good reviews. Have the entrance where Showcase entered and have an indoor queue and station, before the lift hill takes you outside and the main layout is in the former Doomsday area

What is next for our parks?
I had an idea of using the area behind Scooby/WWF for a new land connected to WWF and WoO, but the problem would be it requiring studio buildings to be relocated onto the grass field next to the stages. I made a concept a few months ago, it would include a lake, food stands and two rides, a dark ride themed to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and a Vekoma Madhouse themed to Beetlejuice.

What is next for our parks?
I'm not sure something will be able to fit there due to the size of the area, by the looks of it it seems to be turned into a path Another point, where could the parks expand? You have spare room at Dreamworld but the Village parks, especially Movie World, are landlocked. What about building a Mini-Citywalk where the carpark is right now and building a multi-story one on the overflow? If there is a flood risk maybe try to build 1 story higher than ground. It also gives people something to do at night while staying at the MW Hotel. Have a day at Movie World, have tea in one of the restaurants, go to TopGolf, then go back to the hotel. If you add buses to Sea World, then you have MW, SW, WnW, Paradise Country, CityWalk, AOS, TopGolf and the hotel which means people staying on-site without leaving, therefore all the money goes to Village.

What is next for our parks?
What I am saying is I think Sea World will likely be the next to get something big, you can promote New Atlantis for a few years but as things like Rivertown and WoO start to open, the hype is going to die down and people would go to the other parks which are getting capex. I could possibly see some low cost stuff come, but as both Coast/Village are opening big lands, chances are we wont see anything massive as we only see large scale investments every 2-3 years.

What is next for our parks?
With Flash/Dreamland open WOZ and Rivertown to open in the next few months, we soon will have all the lands announced for the parks. The question is, what is next for our parks in the next few years? For 2025 I can unfortunately see it be the first year in some time without any new rides for our parks. Village and Coast both just spent $50m+ each on WOZ/Rivertown/Flash/Dreamland, and they will need to recoup the cost before spending on anything new. Overall the only significant thing will be the Scooby refurb. Based on a 2-3 year gap between new areas for each park, I can see Dreamworld possibly investing in something for 2026, but I have a feeling they wont go for a whole new land this time, either an individual flat ride or coaster. I can see Village go to Sea World for investments this time, they seem to alternate where one park gets the main investment for new rides while advertising the previous investments at the other park. It was MW's turn from 2016-2018 (Doomsday, DCR) Sea World's turn from 2019-2022 (New Atlantis) and now it is MW's turn again with Flash/WoO, so based on that Sea World will probably be next for capex.

USS - Expansion Minions and Nintendo
I wonder where the Nintendo World entrance will go? I've heard rumours that the area with the stage and billboard is temporary and will get replaced when Nintendo opens, not sure if that's true

Disney Expanding Footprint Name In Australia
Looking back at it it seems interesting, what would've happened if it was built? I found some concept art while researching: Reportedly it would feature a CityWalk/Downtown Disney style area with restaurants and a 16-screen cinema as well as 6 working soundstages operated by Crawfords, which even had partners such as Channel 7 and Global Television signed on. The park would have attractions such as a Studio Tour as well as restaurants/attractions based on Star Trek, Happy Days, Top Gun and Nickelodeon. So more like Universal than the former Paramount Parks. I think it was funding that killed it, Viacom had a majority interest but some was to be funded by other partners such as WIN Television (who owned Crawfords), however the apart from Viacom/WIN the rest was private equity/banks. IIRC some of the plans got blocked causing some of the equity partners to drop out, cancelling it. Though I do wonder what our landscape would look like if it was built. We could be seeing a Cedar Fair park down here if it got sold like the ones in the US.

Splash mountain retheme
The POV has been released for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, and it is not looking good: First off, there is a lack of story. Where is the villain? Where is the danger that you commonly see on rides like these? Splash Mountain had a clear and cohesive story, this only mentions the story a few times, it is mostly just listening to animals singing and suddenly you are about to get to the party. Also there is much less animatronics and characters overall, in some areas there is only one animatronic and lots of greenery. Also a lot of it is just listening to music, with a large section lacking any story or dialogue. And where did the suspense go, as I mentioned earlier? Splash Mountain had Brer Rabbit about to be skinned by Brer Frox and trying to trick him into throwing him down the mountain. The lift hill up the mountain is supposed to be suspenseful, instead this is just "Let's get you to the party" with happy music playing throughout. Compared to Jurassic Park - Jurassic World at USH this is a huge downgrade compared to the original. While USH properly updated the ride to a modern standard while keeping a coherent story, this just feels off with the lack of story. Not to mention this seems targeted only toward young girls, and a problem with that is are young girls the right target for a ride like this? A lot wouldn't want to ride it as it may look "Too Scary", and young boys wouldn't want to ride "The Princess Ride". Splash however wasn't targeted to a specific age group, the whole family could enjoy it. They have wasted a lot of money on this, they should've kept this the same like Japan.

What other parks in Japan should I go to?
Yeah that is one of the bad things about our timing, both Space Mountain and Spider-Man is closed (but hopefully the Spider-Man replacement is up and running by mid-2026 (rumours currently it will be the same layout as Spider-Man but Pokemon)) I will probably try to get in Super Nintendo World quickly before the big crowds come in, as I heard it is even more busy there. If I get the right express pass however I can get SNW, Harry Potter, Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream (although that is one of the bad parts, you cant pick the rides you want to skip) One of the reasons we are picking Universal is because it is a mix of both. Disney has lots of theming but not enough thrill rides, and Nagashima has lots of thrill rides but not much theming. Universal has a mix of both. As said before we only have a limited time and the people who I am going with are GP and want to do things other than just parks. Maybe I can come back when Space Mountain is back open at a later date, but that would be one of the highlights of my trip and as that is closed I will probably wait.

What other parks in Japan should I go to?
The reason we are picking USJ over TDL/TDS is because my family doesn't think waiting that long is worth it "to take pictures of Mickey and Minnie". Also Space Mountain will be closed for refurb, and I don't want to miss out on that. My family also looked at the Fantasyland dark rides and thought "they all look the same" And we only have a limited time there so can only pick one or the other, so we decided to pick USJ as there is Mario, Jurrasic Park, Harry Potter etc. and for me there are Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream, which would likely be my first B&Ms. And as Nagashima is closer we could make our way out there, as a thrill junkie I would like that as I would get my first RMC, first (and likely only) Giga/longest coaster in the world, as well as the rare Looping Star (only 4 operating). Also there is only 3 Togo Ultratwisters worldwide which Nagashima has one.

What other parks in Japan should I go to?
Yes, that is what we are planning to do, get the 7 Ride Pass with SNW, Harry Potter, Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream. We have also talked about staying at The Park Hotel the night before and queueing up at 5/5:30 as the queues get very busy based on videos we have watched, then quickly speedwalk to SNW before the crowds come. P.S Any tips for anyone who has been to Nagashima about the queues etc?
