  1. Interesting stuff! It looks like it will have a very different queue line to the claw, and there will be a different sign on top of it. I love the theming of it!
  2. It would be cool, but next time you go past the motorway, just look at the gold coaster. It will be bigger than that. However, I’m just worried it may pull a lot of attention, and IMO, I like it because it’s not normally too busy. With everyone knowing it exists, and with it being the largest gyro swing in the world, it may become one of the busiest rides.
  3. I honestly Don't know what to feel about this. As long as they keep the claw's name (King Claw is fine too), and they keep the theming it would be fine. I doubt they would do this within the next year though. As @Tricoart said, I would also expect this to be a 2026 thing. It would be cool to have another record at Dreamworld though, and it would definitely boost their advertisments. I do worry though about the size of it. It may just be me, but it seems a little big. Imagine going past the motorway and you see the claw raising it's arm above gold coaster.
  4. It would be great if this had a wild/soft style, one that went 120 degrees or 360 degrees, like Serpent slayer or Sledge Hammer 360 at Luna Park Sydney. I highly doubt they would get rid of the theme of the ride, and instead just replace it and keep the name etc. It makes sense with The Claw having it's 20th Birthday this year.
  5. I somewhat doubt it will be a water coaster. Although it would be cool, I feel like if it is anything water related, DW doesn't need another coaster, with them already having 3 major ones, one kiddie coaster, and a brand new coaster being built, which will soon total to 5. Besides, we already have Storm at SeaWorld. I could see some sort of log flume however being built.
  6. Do remind me when DW promised a full temple, cause I've been following this since the conception, and i dont remember that being promised.
  7. prefer water tbh. Also its just my opinion, I'm not stating it as fact.
  8. That's true, while I'm annoyed at DW for not trying to put theming in the billabong view, I'm so glad they did not stoop down to the village level of white sheds.
  9. That's true, and I feel like a few of us (me included), are forgetting that. I highly doubt that Dreamworld would let this fail. They wouldn't invest 50 million dollars for a mediocre ride, even if the theming is amazing at the front. There's always a chance they could paint a pattern on or blend it somehow.
  10. There's no way they'd even consider removing their oldest ride now (if you can even call it the same ride as the cannonball express). It's one of the main things that makes DW an Aussie copy of Disneyland. I have noticed before though that there is less room, but when you look at some of the other places the train goes through, you can clearly see that it can fit through tighter spots then that.
  11. They definitely seem to be getting some work done finally. I wonder whether they will use any of the old structure/track. If they don't they can hardly say they are 'moving' the vintage cars, it would just be a new ride. However I like how it's almost in the same spot it was in originally, albeit just a bit to the right.
  12. Maybe that's true, but at least Big Red Car had the old Gum Tree Gully side facade to back it up, that was something, and it wasn't nearly as obvious, I never remembered noticing it at all, but now when I'm at tiger island, its just so big i cant not look at it (sorry for the grammar lol)
  13. Definitely true, but I personality see the potential of a holiday resort next to Dreamworld and Whitewater world. Also being next to Westfield is another pro. It's not the best of places, but I can see it being an amazing place to stay for a while in the future.
  14. Same here, but it seems that the tiger island side won't get a lovely view. Shame it will somewhat ruin the tiger island with a big metal wall. At least Big Red Car kept the old Gum Tree Gully type facade on that side, and it wasn't as tall. Oh well, at least the coaster itself will hopefully make up for it.
  15. Definitely. Either way, the value of that land being right next to a major theme park is sky high. By rezoning the land they most likely will never need, they will have more money for future projects.
  16. That's true. Even if they did though, I think using the old plot and the motorcoaster plot as well would provide adequate space for even a new themed area. Even if they didn't use the Motorcoaster plot, there would still be plenty of space.
  17. No I think I do… no running water slides is saying how there are no water slides. either that or it’s just sarcasm
  18. Ok that makes much more sense. Still a little confusing why they decided to say this, but fair enough. Excited to dine there!
  19. hope so! I really wished I was alive back then, this could help me live that time period modern day!
  20. 7 News has just released a news story. Also I feel like the animatronics are definitely a callback to the old Koala Jamboree! Great to see dreamworld bringing back more old things! I don’t have a link to the news story though sorry
  21. I think that is what the sign was for, due to it most likely being wet with the wet people walking around. However, now I think it would be impossible to run in that area without tripping.
  22. I have since gotten much better pictures from the drone. They are attached below:
  23. With Matilda passing away last weekend Goliath is now all alone in the enclosure💔. I’d love to see some pictures of them together posted on this page so we can remember her. Rest in peace Matilda, gone but not forgotten.
