  1. Oh cool a discussion thread about something new at the parks! Let me just scroll through the petty argument that happens in every thread between the same people to actually get to what I came here for! Anyway, this sounds like a great investment for the park, assuming the food matches the quality of the theming. It looks like they've gutted the entire building so hopefully that means a new kitchen where they can cook actual meals instead of the usual quick service menu
  2. More theming photos from Dreamworld's Instagram https://www.instagram.com/dreamworldau/p/C_APOfeN78z/?hl=en&img_index=1
  3. If Scooby doesn't reopen its game over for them IMO, they cant afford that backlash
  4. I would hazard a guess the track is in such a state of disrepair that they need to remove it for safety reasons? It surely requires some sort of ongoing maintenance to ensure it doesn't collapse so if there's no chance of it returning they should remove it ASAP.
  5. But they also have to move guests off the street to do the parade, they would need to have extra team members to walk in front of the vehicle to make sure guests don't get hit and for such a low capacity vehicle I just can't see village doing it
  6. Fright Night is better for night rides to me because of the mazes, they draw a lot of the crowd. Dusk is not the same as riding properly at night, the sun has not completely set at 5pm even in winter. Also with Sea World & Dreamworld also running night events on Halloween its even quicker than White Christmas where only MW is open. I'm not saying it isn't possible, just that I have no interest in standing in line for that long to walk through a dark foggy building (maybe if my eyes were better it would be more enjoyable). More power to you if that's your thing
  7. They really need as many as they can to reduce queue times IMO, I've personally never done more than 1 in a night because I actually want to get on rides and they aren't worth paying extra for the skip the queue
  8. Surely not after getting the new Vekoma trains and just recently moving the operators panel over to the other side of the station
  9. Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see it open until the end of the year, updates to the circuitry/software for the sensors aren't a simple change and I doubt Sea World are at the front of the SBF Visa's priority list
  10. Your link only says October 12th / 18th to 19th / 25th to 26th
  11. They have been involved heavily in both Dreamworld and Village parks for over a decade, they even reference Parkz on their New Atlantis page
  12. The part that's in the shadow looks a lot more 3D to me
  13. Theming has started going up on the outside of the temple structure. The Tiger Island angle still looks largely the same as the most recent photos in the thread.
  14. Stopped by after work and had to sit at the roundabout for 25 minutes just to leave, but here's a photo where you can see both in one, hard to get a decent angle of both at once though
  15. Fingers crossed it ends up being more reliable. I still have yet to ride it despite wanting to every time I've been to Sea World
  16. My bad I didn't think I needed pictures because what's the point in me lying about it? But I guess we'll see when someone like Ogre checks it out
  17. I guess I understand your doubt but as wikiverse pointed out with the slow operations the second train stacks on the brake run every time and you can straight up see both trains have the seat, it's not like we're simply confused at what were seeing.
  18. The lines were massive so I had plenty of time to confirm, 100% both trains have the spinning seat
  19. While at Snowy Nights I noticed both trains on Steel Taipan had the spinning rear seat. During the event it seemed like most of the trains being sent had someone using it but from what I've seen during regular operation its often empty. Anyone else questioning the decision? I feel like they have to reduce the price if they want to make use of both trains effectively.
  20. You can see them running both on and off in this video and at 1:03 you can straight up see one being taken off, maybe its riders choice?
  21. Serpent Slayer was back operational tonight. Steel Taipan was running two trains, both now have the spinning rear seat. Was pretty popular tonight but I cant understand the decision, most times I'm there it seems to run empty. Surely they decrease the price now they have two right?
  22. Stopped by the park on the way home from work today and saw this on my way to Taipan. Personally I don't think its a great location for a sensory room unless they've done some significant sound proofing inside.
  23. Seems like Sea World themselves don't even know which it is
  24. They likely contract the work out and don't want to pay more to have them there at night, plus on cold nights it may not dry in time for testing in the morning
