^djrappa if you keep letting the comments bug you like this you are going to have a mental breakdown. I think the parks get plenty of compliments when they are doing things right, but also plenty of criticism and constructive comments too. That's never going to change. This is a forum for park discussion, not unadulterated worship and obsessive fandom (although there may be a bit of that too)

Hmmm I wonder if that's a bit of a stretch considering Movie World has in recent times virtually 'given up' on the movie theme. Also, this particular ride is completely based on the game and has nothing to do with the movies. So, are you guys giving them a get out of jail free card when they probably shouldn't get one? My guess is the 2D theming has come down to recent budget cuts rather than trying to make it look like a movie set. Afterall, Green Lantern's theming had absolutely nothing to do with any movie or movie-related concept

Well I think reanimated did an awesome job. From a graphics perspective, the announcement fits in perfectly with the rest of the site

I agree with you guys! I am really impressed. When I was looking through the construction pics I thought it was going to be really average. Now that it's finished and all the details are completed it looks excellent, especially for Dreamworld standards. The overall design, colour scheme, theming and little details like stonework on buildings, bamboo, cargo crates and actual decorations on ceilings all makes it work really well. I really like all the sculptured characters such as Shrek having a bath and the Madagascar animals all around the place (especially the spray fountain!). Has Dreamworld hired a new theming company? If so, I really think Movie World needs to get in touch with them. I am horrified to see that Dreamworld now appears be creating BETTER THEMING THAN MOVIE WORLD, as pin142 mentioned above. Step up Movie World, your new budget approach to theming won't cut it! The only thing that disappoints me is the fact that there aren't any new rides. A great new concept area and decent theming like this deserves new attractions! Would have been great to see some sort of Madagascar jungle cruise similar to Universal. Hopefully something decent will open up later this year, as they have suggested

Yes and look how crap that looks. I've always thought that. Inside it looks great though which I am hoping will be the case for Arkham: average outside but great inside. The roof of the tower (from those latest photos) is a bit better and at least has some slight 3D elements. It might all come together okay and I will also reserve final judgement for opening day. After that I won't hold back - positive or negative

I will wait until it's all finished before making final comments but right now I gotta say it's looking mighty 2D. It's all just 'wallpaper'. Movie World used to build real facades and structures. Still a few more days to go I guess

I find it interesting that where possible they try to re-use an existing show building rather than building one from scratch that is custom designed to fit the new attraction. From what I can tell the Batman building appears to be relatively small so not quite sure what they will fit in there. Is it really that much of a cost saving not having to construct a new show building? Especially the MW type which appear to be just oversized sheds and pretty basic really. Interested if anyone can guess the cost of these structures

Interesting. Kumbak trains causing them problems already? That wouldn't be a good sign. Surprised to hear also the track is already being repainted. Would they normally repaint the track after only painting it a year so ago?

They certainly seem to have gone with some lesser known villains for some reason (except for the Joker of course). I would have liked Scarecrow to have been included

Appalling! Report them to Dreamworks! Gee, the theme park's marketing departments used to be brilliant in years gone by. Great artwork and creative concepts (although a lot of this isn't done in-house). I don't know what's happened in recent years but the quality has certainly deteriorated

In regards to "the inmates are running the asylum"... Harley Quinn says it in the game here: In regards to the 'tower' Movie World is constructing... I'm assuming it will be the Arkham Asylum clock/bell tower. Search in google images to see what I'm talking about

Totally agreed. Gotta love VRTP... especially when they surprise us (ie. not just the standard new attraction every 3/4 years Ardent style). I was just thinking that this $2 mill they are spending on LW will actually probably bring them a significant return on their money alone. Then you add in all the other new stuff and the park will probably power along attendance wise
