  1. There's only one tree top crazy rider "coaster" and its near Wyong. The one at Yarramundi is just a conventional ropes course/cable flying fox park.
  2. While you are there are you going to head to the parks just over the Border? Happy Valley, Chimelong Paradise, Ocean Kingdom and Knight Valley are all within 100km of HK and acessible via trains or Ferries...Chance to try a Wing Coaster, Dive Coaster, Vekoma Motorbike, S&S air launcher....
  3. I do like the sea monster theme portrayed...Would be great if the adjacent slides got a bit of paint and some small thematic interventions (As was done with rampage and redback) to tie them all together. Then Adventure World would really be on the way to having several distinct themed lands.
  4. MW has installed several rides featuring batman...Didn't stop them .
  5. Exactly. Besides, why would they do something to "mess with people" if they had no intention of reopening the ride? That just leads to eventual disappointment by the public, and seems counter productive....When parks have SBNO attractions they tend to hide them from view, erase them from park maps etc so they aren't front and center in the minds of the public and more easily "forgotten".
  6. Making it onto Facebook is a big thing?
  7. http://www.treetopcrazyrider.com.au/gallery On the Central Coast of NSW a pair of steel rail flying foxes that are suspended from trees have opened. Unlike most flying foxes you don't run along a cable, rather a rail that can do helixes and turns. One track is the worlds longest at 1km, the other 330m, prices start at $35 for the short one, $75 for the long one and $99 for both...Anyone planning on trying it out?
  8. http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/US/Sandusky/Cedar_Point/photos Yay, Cedar Point is now updated with 250 new pics!
  9. Who's Shirley?
  10. Besides, if there was asbestos in the mountain there would be signage warning of the presence of it at the building entrances.
  11. Thing is, most mine trains aren't actually fun. What about a Woodie with mine train themed cars
  12. Well my mums brothers neigbours best mates cat says that the scraps of Sea Viper are being welded back together to complete with the mine ride.
  13. You can always get people who look pretty similar. Eg Austin Powers, Marilyn.
  14. California's Great America is up now too. http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/US/Santa_Clara/California_s_Great_America/rides
  15. Since when is the ride called mine cart? .... Hey guys I'm off to Movie World to ride IWM.
  16. http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/US/Erie/Waldameer_Park_Water_World/photos/sort/oldest Pics of Waldameer are now published.
  17. The example event given was at Cedar Point.... Wouldn't they equally have a "redneck" element? Didn't stop them.
  18. Go to the "rides" page for a particular park and you can do exactly that: Go to the "rides" page for a particular park and you can do exactly that:
  19. Does this occur at similar events overseas?
  20. It was a wild mouse basically with the expected sequence of turns (lift hill, zig zag, turn, drop, turn, drop, brakes). The first few turns had you passing rock alcoves with theming in them (Similar to the tunnel on Thunder River) First one had a miner with a stick of dynamite. Next couple had spinning cogs and mining machines from memory.
  21. Darien Lake is done: http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/US/Corfu/Darien_Lake_Amusement_Park/photos
  22. I'd hope that the structure and track of the ride would be in pretty good nick..It's been out of the weather (And even the outdoor bits could be fixed with a long crane. Ditto, swapping out brakes and so forth shouldn't be too much of a problem. Plenty of coasters have that done and there are companies that specialise in it. The deteriorating mountain is probably the hardest part to deal with.
  23. Gradually getting there. Pics of Kentucky Kingdom are up: http://www.parkz.com.au/…/Louisville/Kentucky_Kingdom/photos
  24. But it proves the point that maintaining a seamless themed environment in any "theme" is at least somewhat important, as opposed to just a whinge.
