  1. Why does MW have higher attendance then?
  2. Step 1: Buy a Gold Pass Step 2: Visit Wet n Wild, and sell to a friend Step 3: Friend visits wet n wild and sells to next friend. Step 4: This Friend visits wet n wild and sells to another friend. Step 5: Repeat all season Step 6: Fifty People visit WnW for $129.....Problem, VRTP?
  3. Are they obliged to do anything a selection of theme park nerds want?
  4. Heaps of coasters have run backwards...Indiana Jones in Paris, a couple of the SF batman clones, Swarm at Thorpe had the back two rows reversed, Hollywood Dream at Universal Japan has a backwards train option, Mr Freeze reverse blast at SFoT, Collosus at SFMM has a backwards option during Haloween. All I can think of for now.
  5. Wouldn't the entire ride have to be built upside down though. I reckon the easiest way to have made it make sense would have been to continued bits of the ships hull inside the building, and stenciled warehouse numbers on the wall, and just made out that the ship had rammed itself into the warehouse and broken up (kinda like how the titanic split in half when it sank)
  6. I wonder why the asian market would be worth going after though, given they would have bigger parks closer to home. I'd have though in the age of the VIP/World pass (And overloaded water parks in Sydney) it would very much be about driving visitation from locals screaming out for this sort of entertainment.
  7. From memory at busier parks, Accelerator coaster cables get changed twice per year.
  8. Im guessing the sign would be a pre existing part of the boiler room? Dunno :S
  9. Does the raised section go all the way onto to the log fencing either side, or did they just do the gates?
  10. I think Europa Park would be there instead of SFMM too.
  11. Nope, only the apprentices responsible for laying gas lines get paid that.
  12. Lol? Under 18s can't be ride ops though.
  13. Funfields have opened their Proslide 2 person bowl slide called "Typhoon", bringing the total in Australia to 4. What sets this one apart is that it has a longer run in at the start, making it the longest of its type in the world: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=642930275763982
  14. Two illustrate my point. This ride is very long for the sake of it. http://rcdb.com/3067.htm?p=14243 This ride is very short, but it just gets to the point and does what it needs to do. http://rcdb.com/9097.htm?p=39711 Which would most of you like to ride more?
  15. I think the real question is...which park was no. 10?
  16. ^Well go on then... I think the point that seems to have been lost is that if they were going to make it longer, they would have done so in the first place. They aren't exactly going to break apart the ride, build a new course, then break it apart a second time. Rant: Why does it matter if a ride is longer or shorter, if it's just going to be more of the same? I mean I get it if its like a hyper coaster, and you want the airtime hills to keep going and going. But for a flume ride, is an extra 30 seconds of drifting along really making it "better"?
  17. Can you mark out how you want this done on an aerial image?
  18. Ready for a horrifying statement guys? Wonderland wasn't that good. If I were looking to enter the Sydney market, I wouldn't be trying to re-work and renovate an old, overly spread out park with 80% crappy attractions, and having to deal with decades old facilities. I'd do something brand spankin' new, properly built for purpose. Yes you'd have to pay for additional infrastructure at a new park, but you'd save that money through lower maintenance bills on a newer park (Remember, a huge chunk of Wonderlands rides were second hand), and potentially less land (Think how much Movie World squeezes into it. Universal Singapore is another example, a lot of rides, but not a whole lot of pathways that need to be kept clean and so on)
  19. http://wetnwildsydney.com.au/about-us/nye-festival.aspx NYE Festival postponed. Not on tonight anymore. Ouch. Not Wet n Wilds fault though.

How did you make the kids suspended coaster?
  21. For WnW...Do constrictor first no matter what and then the green river rapids slides next no matter what. Kamikaze and Tornado and Black Hole are good to do next. Mammoth falls and super 8 can wait due to higher capacity. Jet Streams (freefall) seem to be ok with queues due to their fearsome nature. For the sidewinders, use the right hand slide and queue there. ..always quieter.
  22. I don't see the point to go to that extent. I think the SW exhibit(s) is a decent size...But 160 dinosaurs would just be mind numbing and you'd well and truly be over it by the time you'd seen say 50. 160 dinos seems to just be wasting money for the sake of it.
  23. ^The kangaroos don't have an enclosure though right?
