  1. Adventure World is mostly a water park with flat rides these days, and based on my visit guests flock to the slides in preference to the flats etc. I think phsychologially, many might hold out their visits for the summertime and make a day of it, rather than go and spend only an hour or two there riding the other stuff on offer. Who knows, maybe the new coaster will make the offering compelling enough to start opening on winter weekends?
  2. ^It appears so. Going by google earth the current entrance is above the "d" in Waterslide Playground. Don't really get the motivation for sticking it over there. Maybe in the future it will end up being fairly centrally located, once all the other land is filled in and perhaps the car park will expand to the right? I'm wondering what the reason for a 6 lane racer is. Adventure World already has one, and they could at least make it an octopus racer/ kraken racer or something to set it apart. Also, this place is in the middle of nowhere. Comparable to how far Funfields is from the Melbourne CBD.
  3. Not blocked now Perth is on a similar latitude to Newcastle. It's arid, but not all that warm, which is probably why Adventure World closes in the winter. Is there a functional relationship between the entrance and the rides though? It's like saying Tower of Terror at DW needs to be next to the entrance or else. So long as the locker bays are centrally located near the rides that's all that matters IMO, because that's what you're interested in coming back to during the day.
  4. ^Its a mini movie world car ride though.
  5. Hippos are NOT boring. Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4PAuv3BTMI
  6. This kinda reminds me of the system in place at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park etc, or the flash pass system that used to be at SFMM...You just bought queue jump paper tickets on a ride by ride basis. Never used them because Alton and Thorpe have single rider queues jussayin.
  7. Isn't it likely that it'll be the same arena layout, with any AVPX references painted over?
  8. When Clive Palmer was a child, was Dreamworld even around?
  9. Sorry, I mustve not seen Gogoboys post, rendering the whole stream of humour meaningless to me. But well played to everyone
  10. We can only hope that Chinese redevelopment consortium includes some cinemas with V Max at the proposed cruise terminal/casino on the spit.
  11. ^Down in Surfers there is aready this one http://www.7dcinema.com.au/ Not sure if I feel like going there just for the lulz. Maybe one day I'll go into Surfers, and see the Haunted House, 7D Cinema, then round off with a trip to Ripleys
  12. Each to their own, but if I ran a theme park I wouldn't spend any money on 3D cinema enhancements etc....I don't think they have real pulling power anymore.
  13. ^ I have it in my head that it's like that Indiana Jones themed Lost Delta area at DisneySea.
  14. If its movie world themed, would there be a mini WB kids section lol? Inception.
  15. Is that a new thing? It used to be just dramatic music when you went up.
  16. ^Ardent even own one of the Adelaide venues: http://www.m9laserskirmish.com/Battlegrounds/SA/Cross-Roads/
  17. Guys can you mind not doing this whole witch hunt thing when you suspect someone of rejoining. Plenty of times you have been wrong and you just look like an ass when you are, and just make the new member feel unwelcome in the process. (Remember when people were saying Wyncerous was Spencer) Please, in these situations us mods are more than capable of handling the task. We aren't stupid, and can spot a duplicate account by the time it actually becomes damaging.
  18. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Attractions/AVPX/Briefing-Room.aspx The laser tag thing at Dreamworld...Alien v Predator v You.
  19. The only way to do it would to put a lift on the 4th side that isn't used, but then you'd be stuck looking the wrong way, and it would be hard to get from the lift to the actual top deck, unless the lift had an internal staircase or something, which means it starts getting heavy.... Plus where does the lift motor room go?
  20. They should just get the Mack version like Etnaland has, where it has a barrel roll. That automatically makes it different in the eyes of the public.
  21. Can you post a pic of the batmobile or a map reference?
  22. Google kinetic ball sculpture. You can thank me later.
  23. Source? No way in hell you could get one that cheap, even if they are "mass produced". You cant "mass produce" concrete footings for instance.
  24. Whilrwind I beleive was the prototype Maurer Sohne spinner, so was quite rough and didn't run as well as the more modern ones. We dodged a bullet.
