Constrictor for Wet 'n' Wild
I rode this today, time for another roundup. -I guesstimated the hourly capacity at around 180....50 second interval, say 2.5 riders each time. -When you ride as a 2, you sit like the old whirlywheels on Tornado, face to face offset. When you ride as a 3, the three people sit with legs parallel, 2 on the 'outside' facing one way, and the third in the middle facing the other way. -Loading is a bit awkward, you sit on the edge of the raft and then swing your legs over. The raft is quite floaty and lighter, and the water in the starting trough is say 30cm or so, so it moves around a bit more than a cloverleaf or a Mammoth Falls raft when loading. On the plus side, the light weight of the raft makes them easy to carry and roll. -The inside of the slide lets some light in, so its not pitch black. Kinda just soaked in orange light inside...Haha, kind of like being in the intestine of the snake. -The helixes work really well, and the cool thing is slide picks up speed continuously, with each helix feeling more intense than the last, and sets the tone for the final drop. The raft rides the wall all the way around each helix, it doesn't undulate on and off the wall like what happens when you go around those first couple of long turns on Mammoth Falls: -I got a ride where I was backwards the whole time, and the quick speed around the helices left me a little light headed! -Splashdown at the end is really fun too, and you get satisfyingly soaked by it since it makes a big wave. It's nice that the rockwork of the old Terror Canyon was emulated to finish off the area. -No shade sail yet over the queue, but it's hard to imagine it will go without. Some of the The fencing between the path up and the slide isn't done yet either (Still temp fencing) so I think it's just a case of being able to get in there to do it.

Movie World new ride: JUSTICE LEAGUE: Alien Invasion 3D.
Im happy to report I got two pretty much perfect runs on this around 3pm or so today. Only issue I could find was that there was no audio on the Flash's 3D scene. On one ride I was with a ride crew member, they do periodical runs through the ride to make sure everything was working. Spotted John Wood in the control booth, so Sally must still be finalising things. A few more thing's have changed that I don't think have been there from the start: -Megaphone speaker on pole outside ride has dissapeared, but the control box at the bottom is still there, so it looks like a random toolbox sitting by the walkway lol. -Emergency barricades in the Hall of Justice, noticeably to stop people getting to the side of the alien scanner, also a few at the ride exit. -Puff of smoke as you pass into the first scene. -In the window to the left in the first scene, there is a chef that pops up, when I had ridden before you could see the spores on him, but the character wasn't lit. -Around the dumpster on the next turn, there are a couple of forced perspective buildings with backlit windows. -The car crushed under the spaceship has better lighting, and a car alarm sound effect. Was getting around 70,000 points each time so no problems with the gun. Only short waits each time (about half the switchbacks in the "Lego Wall" room full, and they have got on top of loading now, to the point that they cant load them quick enough they stack up on that first curve out of the station, waiting to enter the first set of doors. I counted it as being a 30 second interval between cars, which gives an hourly capacity of 480.

So you're saying Australians in general think like coaster enthusiasts? Yeah, but if your gun isn't working..... I'm sure it will all be fixed up very shortly, I guess in a way the ride is like a giant video game, and the guests are kinda "Beta Testers" at the moment. I think this would be a prime time to have exit surveys, to pick up on recurring problems.

"Terra Nova Props Go on Sale Tommorow" http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2012/05/18/416641_more-gold-coast-gig-guide.html Good pickup though! One thing I did notice with the alien scanner is that it did seem a bit more lightweight than what you normally find in theme parks (So bored guests don't destroy the theming) I do hope that piece of theming survives though, but if it does get damaged at least the main alien scanner with the led lights is built into the wall, would remain. For what it's worth though, I'm not opposed to recyling theming so long as "the shoe fits", in this case, definitely, looks like a futuristic scanner thingy. At Disneyland in star tours for instance, that talking security robot actually used to be a duck/goose in splash mountain.

Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
Very clever of them to call the Toilet Bowl "Royal Flush Extreme"...The old WnW in Vegas had a royal flush slide, so why not trade off the name. At WnW Sydney, it will be a quad lane version, so I reckon that will deal with the capacity as best as you could expect. If they use 2 person rafts it would have a capacity the same as an 8 lane racer (Possibly the highest capacity slide out there. By the looks of it, there will be a couple of dips on the way to the runout chute, so I reckon there will be 3 uphill sections or so. I mean, the layout of the master blaster wont exactly set the world alight compared to the bigger ones out there, but it does the job of being a gimmicky uphill slide that takes queues away from better ones like the Tornado, just like Supertubes does at WWW compared to the rest of the slides

Doesn't look quite as good as WnW Sydney...I would have liked to have seen the racing slide as an octopus racer, and the freefall slides being the type with the drop floor launch capsule.

Brotip, if your pics get washed out due to inappropriate flash usage if you just spend a couple of mins playing with the brightness and contrast you get something more viewable:

Wet n Wild sued for traumatic Aqualoop ride
Hmm, I wonder if my post from opening day that pointed out the presence of signage about not making the loop could be used as evidence to counter this

The Off Topic Topic
Seems more like some sort of spam attack designed to annoy FB pages with mindless babble. I strongy doubt MW would jeapordize its own FB page like this. Posts moved to Off Topic Topic since this isn't about food prices.

^Will concur with that. I'm one of those pain in the backside customers that will do a grill order basically every time I come in (Even if its just ordering without pickles). And I hate to be one of those customers that says "You mess up my order every time", and its not every time (Maybe closer to 1 in 2 visits) But the rate of errors is stilll way too high considering a printed slip is stuck to the box saying exactly what i want (And I do look at the order screen to see that the request was punched in properly, so the problem isn't with the order taker). Just shits me.

^That said, Tornado has a membrane roof, whilst the others tend to be shadecloth, hence Tornadoes queue being colder.

^I'm at the point now that I ask for fresh everything if I've got the time at Maccas....The first time I ordered a Serious Lamb Burger I made sure I asked for a fresh pattie, because I knew something like that would be filth otherwise.

I think the main ones complaining are kids who got given a $20 note from mum, not ones with jobs and their own money.
