  1. Oh man that craps over the old 2d painted façade! Love it.
  2. I wonder what would happen if you introduced a single rider queue on a ride like this The forces of the universe of wanting to skip the queue directly collides with the forces desire to avoid social awkwardness, causing a wormhole to form with Wet n Wild sucked into it.
  3. I think what has been lost in this is that its a wide style water slide, they are designed for large rafts, and it gains its very dynamic from a big raft having the momentum to ride the walls (As well as the capacity advantage) I've been on the single rider version of the Tornado for instance (The Topsy Turvy) and it's ratshit compared the full sized version. The last side they built, Aqualoop, is single rider. Food for thought. I don't recall complaints like this when other 4/3 person rides like Tornado/Green Room/SuperTubes/The Rip etc were announced. You cant ride them by yourself. Why aren't people complaining that Funnel Web isn't single rider? That's why I think the complaints are silly, because it's complaining about something that can never change or be "fixed".
  4. ^But with this it's the same as mammoth, granted the raft is smaller, but the number of riders is correspondingly smaller too. I'm sure it'll be fine.
  5. No good linking if the gallery is set to private mate.
  6. ^Exactly like this ride. http://www.parkz.com...orks-Loa_23.JPG Or what about at SW on the Flume, no restraints, and you sit in the crotch of the person behind you: http://www.parkz.com..._s_Revenge.html
  7. Dude, stop being a whiny bitch. How is it any different to any other amusement ride that holds several people. OMG, rode Oblivion at Alton Towers and had to sit next to a whopping 7 complete strangers. Woe is me. Or what about on the old TOT, where the front row held 3 people (Just like Constrictor!) It's no different.

^I started disliking fastpass when. -It took me 30 minutes to get on DCAs Toy Story Mania...No fastpass, just a standby queue they pumped through. -It took me 70 minutes to get on DHSs Toy Story Mania...Due to half the capacity being taken up by fastpass, making the standby wait stupidly slow moving.
  9. Stuff the single riders, they can join up with another pair. Sending one person at a time down such a big slide is a waste of capacity....Only 33% efficient doing it that way. It's equivalent to running Lethal weapon using only 7 seats.
  10. ^To be honest, I thought it looked a bit formulatic for a GCI too. Didn't really seem to have much in terms of wow moments. Still a decent ride overall, wouldn't say no to it
  11. I think Green Lantern: First Flight at Magic Mountain fits the bill for this topic perfectly...Ridden nothing else like it, and the forces on the ride were insane.
  12. Geez that Tornado layout looks fantastic!
  13. Looks pretty epic The slide was installed at Waylons Water World in Yuma, Arizona for those interested (Why didn't you tell us that, themeparksgc?)
  14. Good to see it's the family sized version, so its almost like we've gotten that Dark mammoth we always wanted anyway. I love the whole idea of this anyway. Raft slides are more fun when you bank high on the turns (Like when you ride Mammoth Falls with a full raft of 6) and here we have a slide with tight helixes designed to do exactly that. The one question is, how many kids are going to make those feeble attempts to flip the raft lol?
  15. ^Or, Abismo at Parque De Attractiones Madrid (Which was bandied about by a few people as an option back when Buzzsaw was going up)
  16. Not really. Anyone can send in news, so if the news has come from this thread then the information is just looping back on itself.
  17. Both parks have 5 coasters.
  18. Not really....A one day admission is $70. But this $70 gets you several nights admission, and the nights in question have all sorts of extra entertainment/mazes etc that is expensive to run compared to normal daytime operation.
  19. Those riders were being wusses. This is how a pro rides one of these:
  20. I didn't realise you were still small enough to go on them.
  21. See, that's a really good point these days...With Justice League opening (Turfing out a dated simulator I had little love for) and with Lethal Weapon "fixed up" I can't think of a single attraction that I wouldn't want to ride on a given visit.
  22. Well, just in case it got missed, everyone should aim to ride this first, purely because its wide appeal and central location can mean long queues (Plus it's unmissable). If it's got a short queue, go for it!
  23. Here it is on the Park map.... Dot #59. http://www.themepark...634&linkid=9943
  24. Incorrect. Even on the busiest days, its possible to ride everything, so no need to skip Wild West Falls.
  25. True, GL ops are in a pretty nice swing these days, and loading/unloading is much faster than the early days.
