  1. Agreed, large amounts of butthurt in this thread for some reason, which is a shame because its overshadowing a very good ride. Couple of facts to close off though. -Reposting what MW FB does is no different to retweeting on Twitter (An act which thousands/millions do daily), and in honesty benefits MW because it spreads the word. -Parks often provide promo footage for re-use by media. Check out our HSD preview footage for instance, from 4 years ago: http://www.parkz.com.au/TV/episode-5/Hollywood_Stunt_Driver_debut.html Fixed. It literally does say that, in that format. On HP&TFJ & TOT in Orlando, the main signage actually fits the theme, and in both cases the ride name only twinkles up occasionally using fibre optics. I reckon put the ride name up in that frame above the path that used to have "Through to Lethal Weapon" on it As for the ride...really friggen good. Tried both front and back, and the back offers a smoother, more forceful and better paced ride (Front has those weird moments of slowdown through some elements) I could see a speaker installed in the skullcap on my front row seat, but not in the back one yet. An oddity is that the green buttons cause the shoulder strap part to loosen if a button is pressed in the station whilst loading, so staff were having to tell guests not to push it. I think they'll have to reprogram the logic to eliminate this issue I found the shoulder straps less intrusive than the vests on Battestar...no neck cutting or anything. I can see what people mean about the lap bar tightening, but i think its due to a tendency to move forward in the seat during the ride, causing a door wedge effect under the lap bar. I didn't find it caused pain or even pins and needles on any ride...Wipeouts harnesses are worse! The lack of headbanging allows you to appreciate parts of the ride like you couldn't in the past....That helix is really good actually. The theming is cool but I think the perspex to protect it makes it look wierder in pics. The best theming is the bit behind the fence where there is a titan tank, crates, toxin barrels etc. I think I spotted about 5 sets of joker teeth in the queue stuck in random spots. Be sure to check out the patient records...For instance the doctors dont like working with Mr Freeze because his cell is too cold!
  2. I was thinking of doing a snap trip to Sydney during my mid semester break, but since it isn't there, bugger it. Have been meaning to get down to Sydney to get my last remaining fixed coaster in Australia ridden (the Mouse at LPM)
  3. The way it works at Disney is they just merge people into the last bit of the line alternatley. There are no allocated rows etc (Except perhaps Space Mountain at MK, where one coaster track is FP and the other track is Standby)
  4. What does POV stand for? "Point of view" So "Off ride point of view". The video was taken from an off ride point of view.
  5. Leg tightening can be a bit of a side effect of these new hydraulic restraints. Same thing happened on both sides of Battlestar Galactica..
  6. Does anyone know if this coaster is at this years Royal Easter show?
  7. With that video of Two Face, that is indeed just acid. Remember, in the comics, Harvey Dent became two face because acid was thrown at his face. The guy is a nut job, so I'm guessing that has become his chosen method of torture. Jjuttp is right, in short.
  8. I think its because its everything a good B&M invert should be...Fast paced, visibly intense, and lots of directional changes (Look at the way it does the first drop, dive loop and turn) and inversions, and moments where it makes the most of the train type, swooping through tunnels and close to the ground. Also, Did anyone else hear the french "Oh my god" at 1:04 lol?
  9. That would be titan toxin: http://arkhamcity.wikia.com/wiki/Titan In the final boss of the first game, Joker uses it on himself to turn himself into a monster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5vGElWeE5g
  10. That's not a practical or affordable idea. At all. Looking foward to riding, but I might hold off until it's less prone to breakdowns. The theming I think deserves somewhat more credit (Despite 2D elements in parts)...That Guard with the TV on its head is genius.
  11. Oz'Iris is open, and looks awesome!
  12. Wiki up Disneys Fast Pass... Failing that, the first 5 posts in this thread explain it. Basically you get a card you can pick up, with a time printed on it, and it let's you avoid most of the queue by going in a separate entrance at an allotted time (rather than waiting the whole time in the main queue, you get to go off and do other things) When you arrive back at the allotted time you board the ride with minimal wait.
  13. BCA Section D for the top one, Australian Standard 1428 for the second. Point is, I already posted before that, that you can't remove the hand rails just because it would look better, because you'd have unprotected edges, from which people could fall, and ramps without handrails. I'll imagine that whole comcrete ramp structure will go when they decide to build something. Remember, the old movie magic queue stayed around, and wasn't demolished till Batwing was built.
  14. Which might be more difficult in an existing building with ramps etc in place.
  15. ^When you say last 2 rides, are you counting Dreamworks and BS, or BS and Shockwave?
  16. Yeah but stuff like that shits me off too. You've used it as an example, but it still sucks and is frustrating more than anything. Shit example, because online prepurchase is available to everyone equally. Side note, but why is getting on the plane first considered a good thing?...You have to sit where your ticket says so its not like you get "good seats" by coming early. I reckon its better to waltz up later on, and have to dodge less people in the aisles when boarding, and spend less time in that tube. Umad airline? Cos you don't have to wait 1h in the sun whilst the 1st class passengers are leaving. Duh. I don't care too much if queue jump systems are limited such that queue jumpers don't make a difference...Except I've seen it at rides where the queue is just stupidly longer because of paid queue jumping, and it would be quicker overall if the full hourly capacity could be used to churn through a single queue.
  17. Because the ride exit still comes out into that courtyard.
  18. The old queue area and cinema entrance is not being used. The handrails are still there because people would fall off otherwhise.
  19. Instantly the greatest theme park innovation of the decade...Spaceshots and PTC wooden coaster trains need this feature lol.
