Sydney Gets a Water Park!
Im thinking it would be the land between the M4 and Propsect Rd rather than the bushland. I'm guessing that drive in will form part of it since its Greater Union (And hence Village)

Tower of Terror Update
What about when they converted X to X2 at SFMM? The whole thing about that upgrade was making the trains lighter to reduce stress on the track and the trains themselves: Before: http://www.rcdb.com/m/750.htm?p=3514 After: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:X2-newtrain.jpg Notice the extra holes, less superfluous mouldings, the more lightweight means of hanging the trains off the side etc etc. What about the design of the structures themselves? Surely that has improved over time!

Tower of Terror Update
Since its just a set of wheels at the front and the back, and the car is only ever on the 'inside' of the curve there is no physical need for articulation in the middle of the car, since the car as a whole 'bridges' the curve. http://www.parkz.com.au/photo/large/genera...er_IMG_4758.JPG http://www.parkz.com.au/photo/AU/Gold_Coas...-Surfrider.html Besides, over in Paris they stuck a 20 person car on RC Racer..I wanted one like that http://www.rcdb.com/m/1170.htm?p=29924

Tower of Terror Update
^Shouldn't make a difference since it only has 2 sets of wheels, front and rear, and it is only travelling on the inside of the curve, therefore there is ample opportunity to lengthen the car ....Surfrider at WnW manages to negotiate a tighter curve with a longer car.

Dreamworld's 30th
No way in hell Dreamworld would have the budget for a Multi Motion dark ride....One of those would be the most expensive ride built in Australia.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
I'm presuming you're staying at the one on International Drive? Here is the walking route: Its footpath all the way, so you wont be forced to do anything risky as sometimes occurs in US cities with their lack of footpaths/shoulders to walk on. That bus parking area you can see between citywalk on the left and the multidecks on the right is where you catch the bus to Busch. The most satisfying part is where there is a pedestrian crossing where the main exit to the multidecks are. After the parks have closed and the traffic is streaming out you get the power to cause that traffic to bank up in seconds by pushing the button. If Disney had done it I'd imagine it'd be considerably toned down, no spiders, no robo arms, I'd even go so far as to say a Disney Potter ride would end up using a similar system to Haunted Mansion.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Hotel 6! That place was only 2km away (Come on, don't be lazy, you can jog that distance in 10 mins) from the park right near the junction of Universal Blvd and International Drive was cheap, plus it had a Wallgreens just around the corner. There's a Days Inn pretty much opposite the Hotel 6, so another cheap and close option there too. How did you enjoy IOA as a park anyway?

Halloween Fright Nights 2010
^ & ^^, <3 <3 <3 How are they competing again? Would a family with kids really be 'choosing' a Halloween event with SAW and Freddie? Vice versa, is a teenager going to really going be considering a Halloween event with Sesame Streets Count? To me, it makes total sense to have clear choices for the level of scare people want. Think of the MW event being pitched in a similar way to Universals Halloween Horror Nights, and the SW event being like Disneys Mickeys not so scary Halloween Party.

Southern Star Observation Wheel Update
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/...x-1225913555650 More on the wheel. The entire structure will be different, with singular solid spokes rather than the lattice ones seen now. Due to open next year, so it will have only been 5 years late in the end.

which park for littlies?
The info is available for other rides too, for each ride go to where it says "Click Here" and it brings up an info box. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Rides/Kids-Rides/ Easiest way to find out the restrictions for the rides in one sweep is to check out the PDFs of the park maps. http://movieworld.myfun.com.au/upload/docu.../movieworld.pdf http://wetnwild.myfun.com.au/upload/document/wetnwild.pdf http://seaworld.myfun.com.au/upload/document/seaworld.pdf For Dreamworld and Whitewater, each ride has a letter beside it, and the key for what height that corresponds to is in the bottom right. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Resources/Doc...fo-Park-Map.pdf As for the Parks....If your girls are into specific characters you've got: Movie World: Looney Tunes Sea World: Sesame St Dreamworld & Whitewater World: Wiggles & Nickelodeon In terms of parks to visit, I think definitley give Sea World a visit, it's probably the most kid friendly, not just because of Sesame St beach, but because the water rides, monrail, skyride are pretty accessible too (Castaway bay will be open by your visit, and that is going to feature a massive soft play structure, ropes course, and Battle Sails (A ride similar to this) Sea Viper is also great as a first "big" roller coaster since it is over fairly quickly and isn't too intense, same goes for Jet Rescue (That one doesn't go upside down). As for the water parks. Both have dedicated kids areas without height limits. At Wet n Wild it's Buccanneer Bay, and at Whitewater World it's Pipeline Plunge/Wiggle Bay. Beyond that.... At Wet n Wild, 110cm is the magic number for when a broad range of attractions become available (With a handful set at 100cm, eg Mammoth Falls, River Rapids), with the more extreme stuff set at 120cm. At Whitewater World everything is set at 120cm (Barring the 3 "temple of huey" slides which can be ridden at 100cm if you pair up)

VIP Pass is Back!
Savings for whom though? It's ridiculous to suggest that any sane family would be planning on buying 16 half price adult tickets for other people purely out of the goodness of their hearts, and subsequently taking advantage of the saving. I'ts like saying that the DW pass offers $100,000 dollars of savings over the VIP pass, just spend $1 Million on merchandise. The 4 for the price of 3 for the VIP pass is a tangible saving for the average family, spend the money and you're already on top from the get go.

VIP Pass is Back!
I guess its worth raising that Queensland drivers licences aren't waterproof, and that has yet to present any problems for me. Anyway, WnW is near impossible to visit without a locker. Literally, the only way to do it is to be dropped at the park in your swimmers, and then picked up at the end, with a towel being provided by said person. Why is that specific to the type of card it is? You can lose plastic cards too...
-
VIP Pass is Back!
^I know the type you mean. They are often attached to paper letters from banks, travel insurance companies etc and typically used as a reference card for important company contact numbers etc . You peel the card off the letter and keep it. If you want them to last, my advice is not to leave this type of card in your wallet. The warmth from riding around inside your pocket day to day has a tendency to make them go sticky and glue themselves to the inside of your wallet, other cards etc (And the printing subsequently gets damaged when you try to separate them again) Keep them in a safe place instead, just don't forget them when you're actually going to a park!
