  1. Don't forget your radio.
  2. The results from the Mitch Hawker coaster poll are in, and here are how the Aussie coasters did: 29: Superman Escape 105: Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster 149: Tower of Terror 154: Surfrider* 249: Turbo Mountain* 259: Crazy Coaster* 278: Mick Doohans Motocoaster 305: Cyclone 315: Corkscrew* 321: Lethal Weapon* 334: Metropolis* 341: Rugrats Runaway Reptar* *based on grouped rankings. Bit of an odd set of ranking this year, first few rides are more or less correct...MDMC has clawed its way off the bottom, though I do think that LW and Corkscrew deserve to be above Cyclone.
  3. What is the joke?
  4. Re Ash's question...the entrance isn't done yet..just some battens where a sign will presumably go. The waiting courtyard has had a bit of a touch up, with red, green and white coloured shade sails, a stone patterned floor, and newly rendered walls with brick showing through in patches, plus a few 40s style italian posters. Spoilers:
  5. No way That has to be sped up, surely?
  6. But the last batch of photos were taken about 3 weeks ago, and that is plenty of time to get the cosmetic stuff like plants and theming in, given all the critical structural stuff is already over and done with. I haven't bothered going down to the park to get any updates in this time, because any changes would be in places you wont be able to see until you are actually in the ride area.
  7. ^Have you done what I suggested? Put your home address as the start point, and Dreamworld as the end point, set the time you want to leave after (Or arrive by), and it will give a step by step sequence of where you need to walk, and what buses you need to take, that will answer your question. It also gives a link for the fare information. I cant tell you if it is direct or not, because I don't know when you are travelling, and where in Coolangatta you are leaving from. And again, please use proper English and punctuation when posting on here.
  8. You want to go to www.translink.com.au and use the journey planner, which gives the buses you need to take, and the fares. Put your home address in Coolangatta, and Dreamworld as your destination landmark. It's zone 18-10, so thats $3.10 since you are a student I presume.

I don't know, there were only a limited number of tickets...I got a response back saying I got one anyhow. Keep an eye on it in case, but they may have already gone.
  10. Just got an email, but the wheel has its grand opening (with fireworks) tomorrow. Any of our Victorian members going to check it out?
  11. Passholders would have gotten an email for a preview at 9am on 23rd of December. Only 200 tickets, so be quick! From a gap in the fence you could see down the northern side of the grandstand, and they have indeed made the set look more weathered with streaks/stains running down etc. When the practice sessions were going on, the show sounded very loud from outside, and generates a lot of smoke that drifts out across the Dirty Harry outdoor seating section and the boot hill area.
  12. Sea World probably, but I don't really see WnW abating...the park is consistently popular, building new stuff isn't terribly expensive for them, so I can only see it going from strength to strength.

Mate, you are missing the point. You didn't share in the first place, you just wrote: How is that post helpful to anyone? Do you really expect people to say thank you for that? And then when Don asked for a link, you still remained unhelpful....is it really that hard to just give the URL of whatever you found?....I mean the whole internet pretty much runs on the idea of linking pages and sharing website addresses. By this point everyone is too frustrated to be polite, why did it have to be such an ordeal to get a piece of basic info out of you? You should have just written something like this in your first post: It would be like me posting in the Youtube topic and saying something like "Hey guys, saw this really funny video, you should all check it out" but then giving no indication of what the video was about or where people could find it.

It was already posted by him (Finally), but again, it is http://www.kermissimulaties.nl/

You go to the website, then copy and paste what is in the address bar, not exactly rocket science.
  16. I'm sure all involved would have known it was a set up, so you wouldn't be too pissed off.

^Yeah, Googling 'Kirmis sims' just returns a whole lot of sites written in Turkish and Greek. Can't you just go into your history or favourites, and copy and paste the link for us? Alternatively, you could go to the site for us and copy and paste the link from there, since you are the only one on here who has any idea where it is...
  18. Yeah, speed was a good ride, but at the same time flumes are a good ride too...LPS has no shortage of 'thrilling' spinning rides, but they have a real shortage of fully fledged rides that have an actual layout. Plus anyhow, I personally am more interested in a 'new' ride, rather than a flat ride that already appears at various shows all year long, and I just find a bit hard to believe that it would be a 'disappointment' and you can be so dismissive....its not as if its some kids ride or something. How many travelling rides are available for the summer period anyway? Would you be disappointed with everything except for speed? Next year I'll be disappointed with any other than a floorless coaster at MW, because any other ride choice clearly is no good
  19. The Sea World Eye? That has been and gone. http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Gold_Coas...-World-Eye.html
  20. I'm a nerd, can someone take some pics of how they have integrated it into the park....I imagine they have just put new signs everywhere, and the claw would have its old SRQ converted to Q4U.
  21. Why do you often tell people they are rude?
  22. ^Carrier pigeons. The trains on Eejanaika have this on the back.... http://www.themeparkreview.com/eejanaika/fuji05.jpg
  23. I still don't get what the big problem is...everyone likes flumes (The 3 major Gold Coast parks all have them so they must be crowd pleasers) LPS doesn't have a water ride, and its not exactly discriminatory....thrill seekers and the less brave will both give it a go. 2 little splashes? I might have a little splash if it is a ride like this, but its not, its a full sized flume that will most likely soak you.
  24. Flumes are a universally fun ride though, and good for in summer period. Is it that Splash Canyon ride that seems to have disappeared?
  25. Come on guys, we need some more KFC jokes, hopefully better than these... -"Noel Demp-sey, I like it like that" -His contract had 11 secret terms and conditions. -Big 6 ride variety bucket. -They may have an outstanding saftey record, but how do you know if its fresh, not frozen?
