No Limits Help
Highlight the node you want to have the purple cone on, then from the top menu go Edit>Set First. Edit: OK, I had a look at "aaaaaaa" (aaaaah?) and these were my thoughts.... -Interesting twister layout, with a lot of head choppers -Generally smooth But I think these aspects could be improved. -The layout was massive, but there was only one part that I could see where the vertical Gs dropped below zero. In other words, a ride this big needs more airtime. -There were two stations, and two midcourse brake runs, but you were only running 2 trains. That configuration would support 4 trains, otherwhise, get rid of the brake runs because they slow the ride down needlessly. -Don't have the other random brake runs in the middle of the ride that slow the train down...They kill the excitement, and it is better to just design for the speed the ride is going at. Also try to avoid curved/twisted brake runs. -The layout does look big and impressive, but the turns are massive, so the train speeds around them, but the g forces are a bit weak.

Favourite Coaster?
Yeah, Duelling Dragons (Ice) Has taken my top spot, followed by a whole bunch of B&Ms I have ridden (Cant remember the exact order, but SheiKra, Tatsu, Hulk and Kraken are definitely up there) with a couple of the Disney coasters mixed in too (DLs Space Mountain, California Screamin') SE is still up near the top of my rankings, but the reason it gets pushed back is the fact it is shorter than a lot of what I have ridden.

Whitewater World Media Beat-Up
A story some of you may have heard (It was in the paper and on the news), but Paralympian Steve Simmonds has kicked up a bit of a stink in the media because of the fact he was not allowed to go in the slides with his artificial limb on. http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0...65-3102,00.html Managements side of the story is here: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news/queen...4351511435.html It seems as if 95% of the comments on the Courier website actually side with the park on this one though. Its not as if there weren't other options, he was fine to ride without the limb. Im guessing the reason why "someone" couldn't take the limb back down the bottom for him is because WWW typically only has one person at the top of each slide anyway. Obviously hopping to the top is a bit hard (just tried going up the stairs like it just then) but surely he could get whoever he was with to run it down. I don't think it is 'discrimination' at all, its not intentional, and with something like a water slide with stairs, and separate start and end points its going to be awkward no matter what with a disability.

members favourite rides
Yeah, best part was when the rubber duck floated uphill, and the rolling pins went up the table. But yeah, that -along with the Tijuana Taxis, and the Batman Ride- is one of the few things I can remember from my first visit to MW as a 4 year old. What other missing attractions are there? Harry Potter, The Official Matrix Exhibit, Western Action Show, Looney Tunes Village Carrots, Pokemon Island, Maverick, Superstars: Live in Concert..... That ride still exisits.

Ned Kelley's Getaway
Hey, whoever runs that site stole my pics of the great Balloon Race, and then got the location wrong (They aren't somewhere in NSW, they are in Kialla, Vic) Real professional site there guys

Hmm, but if you mix up the transitions too much you end up with something akin to an amateur Windows Movie Maker clip, akin to the one made famous in this thread, sans Pete Murray of course. As for the flash thing, is there any way of speeding up the transitions, and making it so you can pause on a photo. The Bubbles thing does sort of match the paint splat theme you have going throughout the site though. The page itself works fine, good job.

Halloween 2008
^It's a bit unclear as to what exactly will be open...At the price being charged I would hope everything. The page about it on the MW website ( http://shop.myfun.com.au/attraction-highli...p?SpecialID=116 ) only says:

Cost Cutting at Movie World
To clarify on the situation, the department store, shrek, the photo center, plus all the food outlets were open prior to 11am when I was there. It seemed it was only small shops like Harry Potter and Daily Planet that were shut. I didn't take any notice of the ones at the top of the 'T', only the ones on the straight part of Main St.

Transformers: The Ride
News just in, but Universal Singapore and Universal Hollywood are both slated to get Transformers themed attractions in 2011. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_292993.html http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_c...9&Itemid=99 This has to be one of the most exciting new ride announcements ever for me, and has me absolutely sold on a trip to Singapore when this place opens. So clearly they are using the Spiderman ride system again, which is great as it is the best thing Universal have ever come up with, but it will be interesting to see what difference more then 10 years of technological improvements since the original application of this technology will make to the ride experience. On a side note, I actually drew up an idea for a transformers ride (same ride system) a little while back, essentially with a storyline of guests being military type people transporting the allspark across the city, but naturally being intercepted by decepticons along the way, each 3D screen having a different decepticon attacking you or battle going on. The finale being picked up by Megatron, but using the allspark against him, which destroys him, causing you to fall to the ground, where you are caught by Bumblebee . No point keeping it quiet now since a proper ride is being built, but these sorts of coincidences are funny.

Bermudas but not blowing anymore
Sorry, but this topic fails at life. The top of the volcano is grey, that isn't smoke. Jjuttp, would you seriously consider making posts that make sense?

I was thinking more about the photo ordering, but what if the way it was set up just mirrored the way a forum thread works...have page numbers ascending 1, 2, 3, x etc with higher pages being newer photos, and make the dark red link on the front page jump straight to the highest page number available, much in the same way the orange link works in a forum:

The Official Jet Rescue construction thread
This was too obscure to put in the main update, but remember in TPPs update there was an odd swimming pool thingy inside the last turn of Corkscrew: http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 Well now there is a tent over it. I'm guessing during construction they discovered an alien artefact, so they decided to seal it in concrete, and now they are using the tent to hide all the experiments on it happening. Other than that, only minor things happening, the first turn is as predicted, just a simple loop. Personally I would have done more with the first part of the ride...Had a hill following the first launch, then curve down under the monorail and around a ground hugging u turn, before a smaller hill that goes under the larger one, before the turn into the second launch. Even if the layout is a bit short they seem to be serious about the theming....I mean real rock instead of fake is a nice start.

Just curious about the SE.
On the indoor part of the ride, in the stations etc they use friction wheels mounted on the track to move the train along, see this pic: http://www.fxillusions.com.au/images/super...e/target13.html So if they want to get it back to the station they just run the wheels in reverse. They also run them in reverse to get a train out of the maintenance bay and into the station. I'm not 100% on what MW choose to do, but I know at some parks when there is a rollback they just let it roll back to the start of the launch and try again, and don't bother sending it back to the station. Im not 100% on the dynamics of the launch system, but I guess its like any machine (or car), runs better when it's warmed up.

No, the track doesn't get damaged. When the train launches the brake fins on the track pop up in a timed sequence as soon as the train passes during the launch, so if it rolls back it just gets slowed down. This is probably the nearest vid that shows how the system works: You can see that just before it launches the fins in front of the train drop out of the way, and then as soon as it launches the fins pop back up in a split second. And if you want to see a full on rollback on a comparable ride, check out this:

wave pool extensions
I have swam in that particular pool, you can see my photos here http://www.parkz.com.au/photos/US/Orlando/.../349-Surf-Pool/ Definitely intense, and easily the best one I have seen. Cave of Waves at WWW is capable of doing decent sized waves, Its just that they never run it at full power during the day, only before the park opens for people taking the surf lessons they run, which is disappointing to say the least because they aren't making the most of the one advantage the pool has over the one at WnW. Eventually I would like to see WnW do a proper surf pool...one that is sort of befitting of of the "top 3" postion (or whatever it is) the world they want to be....Either do one out the back in the extreme H20 zone, or demolish the current one, extend it further back (its just an ashphalt back of house area behind) and to the sides...I'd probably prefer the latter so it retains its central position, and also because it would require less excavation that way. Of course, I'd rather see more of the newer slide types make it into the park ahead of a wave pool.

Sea World Question
Cadboy has pretty much covered it, but the main concern for me is that Killer Whales just don't survive that long in captivity compared to in the wild.

More paint doodling. What do you think of having the link highlighting full width? (like on the red article comments part) You could even continue the rave colour scheme the site has at the moment:

Ball Coaster
^Dunno about the drop tower, you might have to do some research on that one. Capacity wise, there are all sorts of little tricks you can use to improve things. Loading is naturally going to be quick, since there is one staff member on each side doing just 4 seats. By the nature of its design it has a separate unload station. You can also begin to do stuff like having more than one train loading at once, and having more than one train on the lift, so the amount of time the main track spends empty is minimised. On the LIM version the layout is capable of holding multiple trains anyway.

Do you think they will close batman adventure the ride 2 soon
Personally I'd like it if they re jigged a few aspects of it. For starters move the queue into the library to make it a true all weather ride, but then make the actual preshow room in that area you just walk through on the way to the bat cave (appropriately rethemed...maybe more like a side wing of the library) Obviously upgrade the screens and graphics in the batcave, and of course update the ride film. The biggest sore point for me though is the way the facade looks, with its painted on vines and shutters. Get a proper grey coloured one built on top more to the standard of the one at Parque Warner: http://www.rides.nl/attractie/info/batman-knight-flight#2220 That said, my fingers are crossed for MW to be doing there next big ride next year. I'd be saving these sorts of changes for an 'in between' year. (On a side note, is there a Dark Knight sequel coming up they could tie in with?)

Ball Coaster
Well, the march of this quirky coaster type continues, with Gröna Lund opening a 35m high version called Insane. Like Kirnu and Inferno it will be the lift hill version (Zacspin) rather than the LIM type (Ball coaster) It looks pretty cool, with plenty of little hills that would encourage flipping, but at $10mil AUD it probably is slightly bad value for money since for a small amount more you can get a fleshed out coaster (Though naturally it's a better spend of $10 mil than MDMC )

Rev 1 There's my thoughts on it. The idea of static pages and listing newer photos on higher pages is a good one, but I guess there is going to be a compromise somehow in having page numbers running highest to lowest.

Cars and Vehicles of Hollywood Stuntdriver
Is MC Mad Mike making a return? Surely they could dress him up in a directors outfit (dark Sunglasses, beret, loose white shirt) or any other other person who you would expect to be on a film set . (Perhaps even the studio security guard? The routine wouldn't need much change then)

Universal Studios Singapore
^It's at the top of the thread, the coaster will be a Dueling Dragons style ride, but one track will be inverted, and one will be sit down.
