The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
My bit of speculation Has a sliver warrior. Looks like it has a bronze warrior: Will trident get a gold warrior to complete the trifecta?

Happy Halloween 2022
Nice. Was this here last year? Curious to see how they do a haunted maze.

Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point "Closing"
A multi pass launch on something like TTD would be a downgrade though IMO. The whole point is 0-120mph like a dragster, not being a giant Wicked Twister.

If anything was going to go, it would be Iron Dragon? That all said, if you wanted to do extra elements on TTD, could you make it a long skinny layout in the middle of the current footprint, sort of like this. Obviously you would need some trim brakes after the main top hat, and then the remaining elements quite a bit slower!

^Not necessarily. From another site: Red Force (3 car trains, 180 km/h) has a launch track of ~155m. TTD has an overall launch track of 175m (I measured after the transfer track until the track passes over the building with the launch technic.). TTD launched to 193 km/h. So actually, updating TTDs trains to the new ones and using all of that track for an LSM launch, could actually do the trick.

How does DC Rivals compare to the worlds best truly?
Yeah perhaps the weak point of RMCs is their restraints, they are all like that except for New Texas Giant which has Gerstlauer trains. FWIW Nagashima Spaland is a bit closer to Aus and Hakugei is better than Steve IMO.

Chaos? I think they stopped running worldwide since they kept falling over.

"Significant" new attractions to be announced at Dreamworld
Wipeout lasted 25 years. The Claw is 18 years old now.

Which abandoned Aussie coaster do you wish you could ride once/again?
I put orphan rocker because of how unique and spectacular it is, but the original Big Dipper, and Beastie would be worth contenders. Everything else I've ridden except for Thunderbolt, but that was supposedly crap.

If 4 major rides are closed I'm not gonna go just to ride a gyro swing 🤷♂️

"Significant" new attractions to be announced at Dreamworld
I think there has to be a more compelling reason for a giant swing than an "up yours" to DW. We now have them at DW, Aussie World, Luna Park, Adventure World, a number in varying sizes on the travelling circuit plus a mini one at Funfields. I mean the bigger Intamin one (Eg Tigeren at Djurs) is better than the smaller model (Eg Goliath at AW) The motion of the Zamperla giant ones is a bit more nauseating for some reason (I've done Sven Svingarm and Scream Machine at Adlabs Imagicaa) But really? do we want MW to build this and then that's our 'new' thrill ride for 3 or 4 years?

Ooooh, I can comment on that now (Trip report probably in a week or two) It actually felt quite awkward. When you entered a turn on the ‘inside’ you’d get this feeling of braking suddenly (because physics, the car is following a shorter path than the chassis) so it didn’t really flow well as a ride. Looks interesting offride, and I gave it a good 5 or 6 laps to be sure, but it didn’t really impress overall. I think the one at Skara will be the only one ever built.

But would a wild mouse at DW be as good as scooby? Maybe if it was like G'sengte Sau at Prater where it's just enormous rather than relying on theming?

Hey didn't they get new trains for Hotwheels/Gold Coaster, and also MDMC, supposedly? Hey and didn't DW also get a new car for TOT at one point?

If Escape from Madagascar is one of the worst coasters, what does that make a Wild Mouse?

Traveling fairs!
100%. Heard about it for years, it was only ever at the Sydney Show (right?) so difficult to get a chance to try it. The other day I realised I've never been on a Zipper either!

So with El Toro, RMC were previously a company that just assembled rides (A bit like RCS GMbH) hence the RMC. So they put up El Toro. Then they eventually started manufacturing their own rides from scratch.

In terms of outward banking turns, there is one on Green Lantern.

So both Chessington and Legoland Germany are getting family versions of the B&M wing coaster They already make family inverted coasters so i guess a gentle wing coaster is a natural progression. https://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/product/family-coaster Wouldn't mind seeing one of them here as a unique family ride.

Fright Nights 2022
I think its more if you want to see more of the shows, have time to eat, or just not physically stand in a crowded line. People may want to do rides since riding at night is a different experience. And of course attendance is not uniform, some nights will be busier.

Matterhorn reaches speeds of 140km/h? Righto.
