  1. Hey mate can you avoid making such aggressive posts in the future?
  2. Can you search for old business names or deregistered ABNs?
  3. That was my first marathon too. I've marathoned on Superman in opening year when they had a billion staff operating the ride and you could single rider nonstop. I also marathoned Aqualoop on opening day because it was overcast and few people were riding. This was pre backboards, so your lats copped it a bit just from the force of the water on them. I did a mini marathon on Banshee too because the ops were so fast that trains were going with empty seats because people weren't physically walking into the station fast enough.
  4. ^Maybe they could do a Jamberoo and just do another slightly better Tornado next to the first one?
  5. Id have thought with the park closed you'd be flat out trying to sell next years annual passes, with this ride being the hook?
  6. By chance I discovered a Belgian coaster enthusiasts blog with trip reports from our parks in March 2016. Toggle on translate and enjoy.... https://rollercoastertraveller.com/2016/03/24/1081/ https://rollercoastertraveller.com/2016/03/28/dagboek-down-under-sea-world/ https://rollercoastertraveller.com/2016/03/23/dagboek-down-under-dreamworld/ https://rollercoastertraveller.com/2016/03/26/dagboek-down-under-on-the-road-aussie-world/
  7. And lets not forget the amount of electricity rides consume in general. They all have motors and other equipment which need lots of juice.
  8. Doesn't every amusement ride have heaps of cabling?
  9. Hehe the arch support reminds me of a similar situation where a creek needed to be bridged on Great Bear at Hersheypark.
  10. The ride is still equally as fun, and will get just as long queues. AW doesn't really have great deal of expansion space, so they do need to use land efficiently and group stuff together. Know the difference:. Sore: Saw:
  11. Isn't that orange thing just the handrail on the cherry picker platform the photographer is in?
  12. Yeah, I remember my first sight of MW in 2006 was seeing the top hat of Superman as you come through the cutting that is north of the GC Highway exit at Helensvale. Now the loop is what you see first. https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-27.9231654,153.3260637,3a,51.7y,314.22h,87.11t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sN-TsVVN6ZqHp8TOjDxhmWw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  13. That was a great and detailed report. OzIris i think is strange how people say it is forceles...I always thought it looked the opposite, particularly with the steep drop sweeping into the dive loop. Looks can be deceiving. What does SOS numberbois mean? Is it like "Emergency phone number tree”? As for trace du hourra, ive always thought it looked cool because I've enjoyed the bobsleds at Blackpool and Kings Dominion... didn't think it was possible for this type of ride to get too rough. Pegase express, again looks solid, but much like the Dollywood one the airtime isn't too strong or the course too intense overall by the sounds of it. For the temple why didn't they either group the columns and clad them to look like big solid rectangular ones.Either that or paint them in a go away color and add some extra cloud lkme mouldings to make it like a floating temple? Goudurix....I thought they were getting the newer trains with vest restraints? The park overall looks gorgeous...Im suprised that they have been able to flesh out a whole theme park based around a comic that isn't that big anymore.
  14. Misleading topic title has been edited.
  15. School holidays and good weather?
  16. Looks pretty much like an Intamin comparing with the construction of Loke at Liseberg. There's some very distinctive seams at the top of the A frame. Its a good ride of course, but would have preferred something more unique to Australia (I acknowledge that Perth is basically a separate market to the rest of the parks here)
  17. The Zierer would be this one: https://www.parkz.com.au/photo/8459-Cobra/gallery/sort/newest/location/ride-1623-Cobra/offset/1
  18. AFAIK they raised the roof first then worked inside.... Have fun doing that with the Eureka structure
  19. I don't think its feasible to slot track into the existing mountain sadlt I mean Scooby was one thing because there was a nice clear spanning shed to work inside, but this mountain would be very hard to lift into.
  20. What if they are artic breed wolves?
  21. A few stills of the important bits. This is an interesting outcome, and looks like in years to come it will be Adventure Park, OzVenture and Funfields that will end up being the three major parks in greater Melbourne...They are all at the stage of buying fairly large attractions from well known manufacturers. Luna Park needs to step up bit though. They could be Australia's Grona Lund if they invested in some better rides.
  22. ↑But it could be an intermediate tube of a larger support column.
  23. I like the fact Plopsa finally put a roof on the EGF station. So if you are wanting to get a good ride on it, how long should you wait for it to warm up? After a couple of hours? Late afternoon? Just before closing? I'll be interested to see what Plopsa does with the place going fowards. All of their other parks seem to be quite high quality...Perhaps a woodie like the one that just opened at Plopsaland De Panne? I reckon you might have been a bit harsh on Sky Scream, though when I rode Superman at SFDK I thought it was going to have as much substance as a Maurer Skyloop, but I was pleasantly surprised that it felt just a bit more complete. They are not too bad, and probably one of the better compact shuttle-ish coasters that parks can get.
