Universal Studios Singapore
Coincidentally another little tidbit came up (presumably) about this park: http://www.vekoma.com/ I'm guessing they are hinting at being part of the Universal project...not confirmed of course, but it seems pretty plausible. I really do hope they use their new track and train system though...It has yet to be built, but it seems as though they have started from the ground up, and designed something clearly B&M inspired.

Cost Cutting at Movie World
Would the stores that are closed be under performing ones? I mean the LW for instance is out of the way at the end of an alley, on a ride that photos would probably be less popular one (Who wants a photo of themselves in pain?) Is it all the shops that are closed...Surley the WB department store would be open at that time? I'd probably imagine that the shops don't do much trade early in the day given people are probably too busy getting the rides done at that point, but yeah, I can't help but think it is a bit tacky.

Doesn't everyone use Youtube now anyway?

Recent Changes
Well, the helix of the dark mammoth will take up all of where vortex is, and the splash down pool for both rides will touch a tiny part of where Stingray is. I can't post up the images/files directly, but you can go to http://pdonline.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/maste...spx?page=search and find Dreamworld by your preferred means (I find map search easiest)...Once you have Dreamworld up click on the application entitled "extensions to theme park" and on the page that comes up, the "Part 3" PDF has the plans of stage 3, so you can satisfy every curiosity you might have about what they have planned.

Cars and Vehicles of Hollywood Stuntdriver
Richo had said to me earlier about doing stuff for a site in a more official way...Messaged me about it 3 days ago, and then a couple of hours after that I came back to the site and discovered a few new menus etc. Edit: No Spotty, I don't intend on being a spelling nazi...'shore' just really bugs me.

Recent Changes
Yeah, that sounds about right. The two mammoth slides proposed are going to take up the space were Vortex currently is, and will cut into where Stingray is, so those two rides will be moved or scrapped at the very least if they were going to move foward with stage 3 (Which I imagine would becoming somewhat more urgent given the relentless march of WnW)

Themepark Aerial view shots
There were these ones... http://www.parkz.com.au/photos/AU/Gold_Coa...d/park-scenery/ But did you mean ones taken from a helicopter?

Question.
The website says a one day world pass is $79.00. But yeah, DW and WWW can be done in a day, but MW and WnW becomes harder, mainly because of WnW. That said, it really comes down to what you want out of your visit...when was the last time you went to the GC parks? Are there any rides you can happily skip? Is only going on everything only once, maybe twice or more for your favourites much of a problem?

B&M for Australia?
No, those are two separate rumours: -12/9/08: Red Dive machine track has been spotted at B&Ms track fabrication facility. -18/9/08: B&M may be revealing a new prototype ride design at the IAAPA trade show. Edit: I looked at the USPTO website, and the last patent application B&M lodged was for their water scoop splashdown effect, so I'm not really sure about what could be announced, if at all.

Question.
Yeah, I suppose its possible, just don't count on re-riding much. DW and WWW would be simple enough, perhaps try and get the RACV/RACQ/NRMA early entry by purchasing through them, or pay the $10 for it on the DW website, and get the big 6 done early. In the arvo wander over to WWW. MW can probably be done in less than a day...the major rides in a couple of hours, but WnW might be hard on limited time, perhaps time it so you go on a saturday, and can ride the rides till 9pm or whenever the dive in movie finishes.

Main Street In for a Change...
Oh so its only those flat roofed little ticket boxes...ah well, no big loss there, they are pretty plain looking anyway. So long as they leave the grand archway alone.

B&M for Australia?
Yeah it was going to Happy Valley http://www.rcdb.com/id4224.htm Given it isn't due to open till 2009 it could still be hanging around for that reason.

The Official Jet Rescue construction thread
http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 Haha, they buried the track....somehow I think it would have been easier to just remove the track so construction vehicles could get through. Edit: And what is the 'swimming pool' you can see on the inside of corkscrews final turn. http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 You can see they are digging out so that answers questions about whether water will be in it. But one thing, I wish they had made that bit of track over the launch more like an airtime hill. http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 The logo looks like Aussie Worlds, and the track in the image is clearly surfrider. http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 Oh, and in this shot you can see the lagoon for the new stingray exhibit. The ride seems a bit abbreviated though, hope the theming is nice...

I normally don't make these posts, but what has been happening on the site overthe past 10 days? Would it be worth it for me to go down on the weekend?

Well if there is no flash you'd be fine.

batman adventure ride film
In a way its like a cinema. In a cinema you aren't allowed to take a video camera in and record the movie, even if it is for personal use because doing so is an infringement of copyright. I guess rules are rules. Two wrongs don't make a right. So if the video is so dumb why do you want a recording of it? I guess it all comes down to movie world wanting control over their property, they would want paying customers coming to the park to experience the ride rather than watching it for free elsewhere. Granted, watching a video isn't the same as being on the ride. They could revoke your season pass... Because Disney and WVTP are different companies, with different rules. Disney is far more relaxed when it comes to taking stuff on rides, they allow you to take cameras on coasters with loops for example. Pretty sure you guys are both the same person, not that I ever thought otherwise....

Something else I noticed, but "SeaWorld Orlando" has posted a bunch of very good photos of Kraken etc...i'd imagine that this is the park itself doing these photos, is this what you were getting at with partnership coverage? PS Richo, dont be outdone, upload that "two part under lift hill photo gallery" from Total Thrills .....and the rest. Edit: Read my mind.

^But would you actually integrate with the forum software a la the articles, or would the comments just be stored off in some other place?

New features
^You could click on the highest number to jump straight the most recent...eg at the time of posting in the Jet Rescue gallery you would click on "10"....I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to tweak it though so the page numbers go 1 2 3 ... 8 9 10, with a drop down menu to jump easily to any other page number (so if you wanted to get to page 6 for instance you aren't having to click through two gallery pages. This is a 'mega' feature request (I know it is not some easy tweak, but something that would take time to build and implement...sort of a blue sky idea) But the ability to comment on photos could have so much potential, and really add to the 'community' aspect of the way the galleries are on here.

Gremlins Adventure
Just a little suggestion, but there is no real point spreading the discussion of the gremlins ride across two topics, when you already made a thread about it: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?s...ic=4285&hl=

Cars and Vehicles of Hollywood Stuntdriver
But with Lights Motors Action they didn't really go for Peugeots, Citroens or Renaults despite it being a French themed set. Admittedly, they did have some Barinas (Opel Corsas) but they are a Spanish built car, but those red cars seemed pretty nondescript. Dunno, guess it would be too expensive to risk smashing up Alfas or whatever if they were to go with Italian cars.

Breaking news: Village to buy Aussie World
Whoops, should have been clearer. After searching, the property you want is 73 Frizzo Rd Palmview. Then, after clicking that the most recent application should be "Material Change of Use to Establish an Outdoor Sport, Recreation and Entertainment (Water Theme Park) and Shopping Complex and Preliminary Approval for Building Work & ERA (# 7 ( Chemical Storage , #11(a) Crude Oil or Petroleum Product Storage & # 15( Sewerage Treatment)" Then, after going into that the 6th File down on that page is the PDF with the plans, artists impressions, theming concepts etc.

Breaking news: Village to buy Aussie World
I never bothered to check back until now, but the Sunshine Coast councils PD online page is brimming with stuff on this. http://pdonline.caloundra.qld.gov.au/modul...spx?page=search Put "Frizzo" at the street name and "Palmview" as the Suburb. Do it in Internet Explorer as Firefox didn't work for me. Then pick 73 Frizzo Rd as the property, then on the next page pick the application for the water park. On the page that loads up, The 6th one down is application appendix B, site plans. Its a 43Mb PDF which I am downloading now, but there is all sorts of other goodies like the visual impact assessment, community consultation etc. Edit: To sum up what is on there: Stage 1 Attractions: -Wavepool -Giant Rain Fortress -Water Play Lagoon -Dark Mammoth -2 Raft Slides -1 Raft Bowl Slide -8 Lane Octopus Racer -Family Boomerango -'Kiddy Ride Zone' -Tornado Future Attractions: -Behemoth Bowl -Extra Raft Slide -Extra Raft Bowl Slide -Lazy River -Turbo Tunnels and Freefalls ( ) -Spa Zone -Roof Over Kids Areas Themed Areas: -Billabong (The kids areas) -High Country (Area with Raft and Bowl Slides) -Oasis (Wave pool...themed to have smooth eroded rocks, rockpools etc) -Rainforest (Behemoth and Boomerango) -Creek Zone (Lazy River)

Main Street In for a Change...
I've always thought that the blank white colourbond wall around Lethal Weapon (So in the area you described) could have Metropolis skyscraper facades put on it, sort of like at IOA, but less bright http://z.about.com/d/themeparks/1/0/l/I/IOAMarvel6.jpg The PASS police car could be easy to work in, just paint on a logo that says "Metropolis City Police Department".

NEW RIDE: SPONGEBOB FLYPANTS
^Same video was posted by Cadboy. Anyone think i'ts funny the way old camcorders would record things like the battery status and type of sound onto the tape....As if the designers thought viewers at a later date would like to see ugly blocky icons and text intruding on the image.
