Thanks for the confirmation. Will have to check it out when I do the US for checking out Hard Rock Park. I like The Simpsons without being a diehard fan. Would have preferred BTTF to have stayed as it was such a great attraction, particularly for fans. Did many here get to experience that? This will be a good replacement hopefully closer to the standard of the earlier seasons. While I'm a Disney fan, I'm glad they didn't choose to replace BTTF with something targeted primarily towards the child/tween market.

Watching the Live Stream. Haha, they were just talking about WhiteWater World. Travis talks about the Super Tubes Hydrocoaster. TRAVIS: You go up the hills faster than you go down them... amazing. VARIOUS: Wow/Oooh/etc TRAVIS: They have some bloody good rides there!!! They then started to talk about other theme parks including Six Flags and some of the coasters but the audio cut out, maybe because it wasn't about a Dreamworld park anymore. Just a heads-up. I've also heard one of them referred to as a tower last night by a couple of the housemates & so then Mike Goldman referred to that person as the 'Tower of Terror'.

I three received the email. -
Thanks for the headsup.

If that's true then they should do a red fog... it'd still work and look a heck of a lot better than just that lame light.

I've been recording it and planned on capturing it all this weekend but my father's gone and recorded some stuff off Foxtel onto the tape.
-
I'll tape it.

Sea World and Killer Whales

Maybe I'll just abduct a Shamu, Star Trek IV style, when I'm over in the US and bring it back for them. -
On Rove currently screening, in his opening monologue he mentioned how Queensland is now on Level 5 Water Restrictions and considering piping water from northern NSW. Why, he asks, why is the state with the most water-intensive waterparks crying poor water-wise? ROVE: In fact, Wet'n'Wild's newest addition is the Hour-Long Shower Ride... Wet'n'Wild could get rid of all the water and rename itself Dry'n'Dusty and have the Super Scrapey Slide. *mimes going down the painful slide very slowly* (Dad Voice:) How is it kids?! *thumbs up, Kid voice* Bleedy!! So, yes. There you go. I'll try to download the episode later from somewhere and put the clip up. In the news stories there was another theme park joke but I didn't catch it.

Pretty good pics for a phone camera really. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hitting the Show - will be down Sunday & Monday. Monday I'm actually meeting OzCoaster's Brent there which'll be good since we'll both be on the TPR midwest trip & have met this way - and hopefully you too, Pattie. Want to try to fit in a bit of Luna Park too. I think I may fly in Sunday morning, hit Luna Park, head out to Homebush for the afternoon/evening then have Monday for the morning and a second afternoon run.

Dracula's new 2007 Haunted House Attraction
Gold Coaster replied to mattcrombie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
5 level high-tech haunted house including a floor based on the concept of phobias. Construction started only this month but have been initiating famils/joint marketing with them and you'll be extremely impressed with what's in store. -
No they don't. If you're over 13, you're going to have to pay the Adult rate.

Earlier I posted a TV alert about a replay of one of the shows Ellen recorded at Islands of Adventure. During the show, she rode Duelling Dragons with John Stamos - who some of you will remember as Jesse on Full House back in the day. I recorded it with my webcam (which supports audio). Here it is: God I miss that ride. But it was funny to watch the two of them on it. EDIT: It's up.

Just so you know, right now on Foxtel's Arena, they're replaying one of the episodes Ellen did from Universal Islands of Adventure (and perhaps on the Austar equivalent too). Saw these months ago but they showed lots from the ride. Today's episode has Ellen on Duelling Dragons etc. EDIT: LOL they're playing Rollercoaster Musical Chairs with a few of the chairs from The Incredible Hulk

Yeah that would be fantastic. How much would something like that cost though?

Said you as you were probably listening to an MP3 in iTunes from an album you didn't buy Wouldn't be the first time a YouTube link of something has been posted here. Also, it's not as if it's available to buy commercially and there's no profit being made from it. -- Tony "Why take the moral high ground when it's so fun in the dirty back streets?" Teulan

Well, Dollywood have had a soft opening of their new EuroCoaster 'Mystery Mine'. It features both outdoor and dark ride components and looks absolutely amazing. Here's a video that was posted on TPR - don't worry, there aren't any spoilers as it's purely offride footage and the guy who shot it doesn't reveal any surprises. After the TPR midwest trip, I will definitely be headed to Dollywood with a few people to check this sucker out. Now, all we need is for Dreamworld to replace the Mine Train Ride with a clone of this ... even a smaller one. That'd be the day. But at least we're getting a booster bike.
-
Haha classic. Is it possible for you to put it up as video? Thanks for sharing.

Back to the Future: The Ride? Oh my. That would be a dream come true for me... I'd never leave the place.
-
Your stench would be plenty enough, Daniel. [/rudeness] A TMNT idea could certainly work well and the characters could fit in well with the parades/photo ops.
-
And you know, it wouldn't be the first time a theme park had a public version of a TV show. Take Who Wants To Be A Millionaire which was at Disney for ages. There's nothing wrong with such a thing - it's good fun and yeah, like Gazza said, keeps in the ideal of the place. I think it would be a really fun addition.

Does anyone have 50%off vouchers....

Amen. Couldn't have said it better myself.
