Mystery Mine Footage

Well, Dollywood have had a soft opening of their new EuroCoaster 'Mystery Mine'. It features both outdoor and dark ride components and looks absolutely amazing. Here's a video that was posted on TPR - don't worry, there aren't any spoilers as it's purely offride footage and the guy who shot it doesn't reveal any surprises.

After the TPR midwest trip, I will definitely be headed to Dollywood with a few people to check this sucker out. Now, all we need is for Dreamworld to replace the Mine Train Ride with a clone of this ... even a smaller one. That'd be the day.

But at least we're getting a booster bike.

Figured this topic deserved its own thread. Yesterday's announcement posts may or may not appear over here eventually. I'm just transferring some of the details from the Motocoaster thread over here for posterity's sake... if you want to whinge about AI go and create your own thread.

Funfields ‘Kraken Racer’ Upgrade

themagician · October 15Oct 15

Funfields have been teasing this on their socials for a few months, but they have officially announced that their Kraken Racer is being upgraded to become Kraken Unleashed, with the slide becoming 75m longer. Making it the longest slide racer in the country. Based on the images, it appears that the only part being kept is the final hill and splashdown, with the rest of the slide being brand new and aligning with the elements most modern racers get. The slide will be 235m long, 22m tall and is op

A Marine Wildlife Hospital to be built at Sea World is expected to provide a significant boost not just to the environment, but the Gold Coast’s tourism industry. The LNP on Saturday announced it will commit $10 million towards building the facility, which would be equipped to treat marine life including birds, dolphins, sharks, seals and whales. Members of the public would have the opportunity to view work at the hospital, which would be the first of its kind in the southern hemispher
