Damn, hopes for a decent ride in that area are out the window for a while. Personally, I can't see what is so interesting about BB but if it amuses people then half my luck. I won't complain too much because I know there are some people that love the show but IMO it needs to go.

Damn, i was hoping it would finish sometime soon. It really frustrates me how channel 10 gets a single "hit" show that we are supposed to love be it Big Brother, Idol or whatever, and then justs plasters it all over the schedule every day for several months, which basically alienates anyone who is not interested and reduces the variety avaliable drastically. It was about to go the same way with Yasmins getting married, but thankfully it didnt rate. But yeah, there goes a good ride out that way, but hey a house in the off-show season with too many mirrors is sure to keep the punters coming back. That and the teacups....

That's their approach to network television and it obviously works for them. They build a lineup around high viewer-involvement concepts that will alienate the majority of viewers but bring in those who are into it, and naturally the other networks can't chase after this psychographic segment without affecting their strengths in other areas. It works doubly well for them because the traits that brings them to this style of viewer involvement is an addictive personality, youth and burning pockets. It's a goldmine for advertisers and producers alike thanks to the voting systems for the shows. Back to Dreamworld, it's not all negative. With work set to commence on CityWalk in the eventual near future, it might be safe to say that, unless they move it closer to the park, it will act as an outpost and mean that Dreamworld will still hold claim to all that unused land, for plenty of future expansion.

i have no idea how there going to keep attracting viewers for another 3 years. The show loses viewers every year. I was hoping it would finish soon. The first and second years were okay but now its becoming sooo exhausting.
Loses viewers every year? I think not... BB has been a steady performer throught its years, viewers decrease as the season progress but for at least the last few years the show has maintained a reliable audience. After the turkey slapping incident this year, BB got its highest ratings since the Season 1 Finale... Can only be good for 10

This, plus keep in mind that BB makes a fortune from the voting revenue.. It's a perfect show for channel 10 really. Sure there are detractors (i'm not a huge fan myself).. but we need to remember just how much exposure that show has brought to Dreamworld... and will -continue- to bring. Richard is right.. the demographic Dreamworld want, watch BB.
