No idea. It would be on a diagonal angle with the top section turning onto the station.. like the raft unloading station on Supertubes Hydrocoaster.

Nah I was just making a joke with the whole secrecy thing. They DO WANT to put raft lifts into the park in general but doing it for Tornado is tricky, because of the angles.

The other option (though more expensive) is to knock say 30cm off the right hand side of the splash pool, and link a sort of shallow channel that can get the rafts around to a spot where they can build the lift a bit easier, sort of like what is on mammoth or speedcoaster.

They could build it under the path that leads up to the tower and have like a deck over the top then it comes out to the raft lift and the path continues to go the other way.

I meant to post this, but back when I was at WnW they only had the whirly wheels avaliable. I think perhaps the reason WnW has opted for these is simply because of the way the onride photo is calibrated. I noticed something in the sample shots on the wall at the photo centre. The graphics that frame the photo when it is printed fit around a whirly wheel as the subject, and show both riders properly, but cloverleafs wouldnt fit in the frame properly, nor show all riders. I guess then they use these rafts simply for the benefit of photos.

when i went on the tornado (we went on it 3 times [in september, hardly *any* wait line.]) i got snapped on it coz i dont know how, but when i went down the funnel thing at the end my tailbone hit the slide and it hurt like hell!

ive only been on the tornado when it had the clover leaf. is the ride any different with the other rafts??

whoops sorry, it was at the start of the funnel, at the end of the drop in or whatever you like to call it.

I don't think they are very safe lol. When I went on the Green Room the tube was a little deflated and my butt hit the bottom the whole way. I feel more comfy in a whirly wheel, but other than that the ride seems the same to me.

I think you feel way less secure in a cloverleaf, especially when you go down backwards. I think this is because of the force applied - 2 people are pushing you down rather than just one.

yer it really hurts doesnt it. i havent had the chance to try the whirly wheel yet though

when i went there they only had 2 person tubes to it sucked cause we didnt go high
