Adventure Park Geelong 2 New Rides

Featured Replies

Adventure Park teased on their socials yesterday that two new rides are going to open in June. https://www.instagram.com/p/DXbS_UNAbsH/

On their website they've already added one of the new rides to their rides page. https://www.adventurepark.com.au/water-park/explore/rides/drop-zone

Seems like it'll be a new 20m drop tower. The header image seems to be of a Larson/ARM Super Shot which excited me at first, however the photo is AI generated and Adventure Park's website website says the ride will have a 90cm height restriction while Larson states the minimum height of a Super Shot is 48 inches (122cm). I'm not going to hold my breath on it being a Larson model, though I do hope it'll be one as the only other example in the country (Hair Raiser) is closed indefinitely.

Glad to see they're at least investing in thrill rides, went there in December and noticed unlike Gumbuya/Funfields/Luna Park there was a big lack of dry thrill rides. The big thrilling ones were exclusively water rides and all the dry ones were family ones at best, a complete lack of more thrilling ones.

It'll be interesting to see what the next one is. Hoping it's a more thrilling one rather than another kids ride, from my visit they seem to have enough that the kids/family market will be happy

^hmm good pickup. The hero image on the website definitely looks like a Larson/ARM Super Shot, and, ARM rides make a 70ft (21m) version as standard called the SUPER SHOT 400. To make things even more confusing, the official ride spec sheet for this version (see below), states a minimum height requirement of 42"/107 cm.

So I'm still leaning towards it being an Larson/ARM tower at this stage, and the min height requirement on the Adventure Park website is currently a typo. Or perhaps ARM has updated their seating/harness design to allow for a lower height requirement. Who knows.
