I was informed by the dude digging the dirt up that it’s a revamped Kangaroo enclosure.

Just no Its a damn carousel, excuses need to stop being made for their aging, poorly maintained piles of crap rides just sitting idle because of this or that. 1) the gearbox shouldn't break 2) if it does, get it sorted and reopen. Closed for months for a damn kiddy ride. Ffs

The structure is temporary, it's just for over Xmas. The fenced off area is where a new ABC ride is going in.

Sunway is the operator of that park but what they are best known for and what stellaclose was likely getting at is they were the ones who purchased and then closed wonderland sydney after running it into the ground through their poor management and lack of investing in new attractions.

I'm surprised that nobody has brought up Merlin. They've already invested in tourist attractions in Sydney and Melbourne, and unless they are in a position to possibly open up a Legoland on the Gold Coast in the future, Dreamworld would make a great addition to their portfolio. IMO, I personally prefer an Australian consortium, led by Packer or Murdoch or someone like that, with Mark consulting, once he is done with Gumbuya World.

These trams sound like they would be an ideal way of getting between Movie World, Wet'n'Wild, Paradise Country and when it opens TopGolf. I am surprised they didn't look into a dedicated road for the tram to travel along between the properties.

Yeah I’m totally sure VTP is super keen on the financial outlay required to purchase and basically re-invent DW, all with the aim of dimishing their current competitive advantage held by MW... there are times when having a monopoly on a market is counter-productive. This would be one such time.

Well... DCR in torrential driving rain is something... 3 mins of what feels like needles or small pebbles being blasted into your face is kinda memorable yet painful. Physically couldn’t see as you couldn’t really keep your eyes open thanks to the slow loaders in the car awaiting departure, the 2 mins in the brake run got everyone to ‘drowning’ levels of wet. backed it up immediately with a backwards run, which thankfully negated the eye needles and was a heap of fun
